"What? A thirty percent increase in efficiency? You're a liar," Laiwei said, his words laced with a hint of drunkenness and a slight flush on his face as he responded to Yang Xiaoyou with an unmistakable tone of disbelief.
To be honest, when he and Duh first joined Hive Security Company, it was largely due to promises made. However, after passing the probation period and starting to share in Hive Security Company's training system, he realized that the training methods he had once prided himself on were utterly inferior.
The efficiency had increased by more than just a little.
She believed that this method had already reached the limits of training efficiency, so hearing Yang Xiaoyou claim it could be improved by another thirty percent was simply unfathomable.
How could that be possible?
At this level, even a one percent increase would be incredibly difficult!
Boasting about a conservative thirty percent improvement was absurd; those two coffin-like devices couldn't possibly have that effect. Were they supposed to do sit-ups on top of them?
Just as she was immersed in future plans, Laiwei's cold water remarks caused Yang Xiaoyou to display an expression of exasperation.
"Take off your clothes," Yang Xiaoyou said with a sulky tone.
Such a blunt statement made Lucas unable to hold back an expletive. "Damn, I never would have guessed. You look so frail yet you're so bold."
On the other side, Duh, who was pretending to play with a firearm model, felt like laughing out loud. If this guy really wanted to do something, it would be quite challenging. But honestly, given Laiwei's personality, perhaps only someone like this fellow could keep him in check.
The two onlookers and the slightly tipsy protagonist were now stammering in surprise. "Beast! Beast!"
Well, although she had encountered many straightforward people during her time in Vietnam, few dared to speak so openly in front of her.
After muttering something under her breath, she pressed Yang Xiaoyou's face against the device with a loud 'bang'.
"That's it." Seeing his partner's actions, Duh felt a wave of panic wash over him. He knew all too well the strength of that young man; if he truly got angry, things would escalate dramatically.
When he saw Lai Wei about to make another move, Duh rushed over to stop her.
As he prevented her from proceeding, he couldn't help but glance at Yang Xiaoyou, who was motionless against the machine. A sense of unease crept into his heart, a dangerous feeling that began to surface.
"Hmph," Yang Xiaoyou, with his face pressed against the machine, let out a distorted smile that sent chills down their spines.
Lai Wei, who had been clamoring to hit him again, seemed to sense the heavy atmosphere as well.
Just as she was about to do something, she saw Yang Xiaoyou start to rise, his expression dark as he approached her.
With each step he took, an increasingly unsettling feeling settled in her chest. Just as Lai Wei prepared to act, she noticed Yang Xiaoyou's eyes seemed to swirl, making her feel dizzy and disoriented.
After shaking her head to clear her mind, she realized he had reached out and grabbed the hem of her shirt, pulling it upward with force.
With a tearing sound, Lai Wei's healthy, sun-kissed skin was exposed beneath her shirt, along with the black bra that came into view.
This provoked a scream filled with anger from her, and she raised her hand to slap him.
However, Yang Xiaoyou effortlessly swatted her hand aside and seized her wrist. He pulled her close and wrapped his arms around her waist, lifting her off the ground.
No matter how much she struggled, it felt as if all her strength had been sapped away by some strange force.
Duh watched anxiously from the side. Was this fellow about to unleash his primal instincts?
But soon he realized he was overthinking it; Lai Wei, now left in only her bra and panties, was forcibly shoved into that strange black box.
Seeing that she was still not being obedient after being restrained, Yang Xiaoyou swiftly struck her neck with a knife-hand, knocking her out cold. Then, like closing a coffin, she shut the lid.
The two outside were left in stunned silence.
"When did that girl become so compliant? She was stripped bare without much resistance. Tsk tsk, quite the shy type," Lucas remarked, his tone seemingly casual, but his gaze towards Yang Xiaoyou flickered with an unpredictable intensity.
Earlier, when Yang Xiaoyou had started tearing off her clothes, that fiery girl had appeared momentarily dazed for some reason. But soon after, it seemed she had used an exceptionally skilled technique to completely neutralize her resistance.
This must be a mistake.
"Alright, I'll go train her on behalf of her brother and make her understand how to respect the owner of the room. Also, this will be your training method from now on; you can gauge efficiency from this unruly girl's mouth later." As she began to undress as well and slipped into another box, Yang Xiaoyou revealed a sinister expression while closing the door.
"Where is this place?" Standing atop a snowy peak, Laiwei wore an incredulous expression as the cold air jolted her fully awake.
Wasn't she just at that idiot's house? She had been ready to give him a good beating, but how did she suddenly end up in such a place?
Looking down at her tight-fitting combat suit made her instinctively touch it; the real sensation made it hard for her to believe this was an illusion.
The surrounding cold air continuously reminded her of reality.
"How does it feel?" A surge of electric-like snowflakes flashed by as Laiwei saw Yang Xiaoyou's figure appear not far in front of her.
If they were in a normal setting, she would have rushed over to retaliate against his earlier actions.
But now, she stammered, "What... what kind of magic is this? What have you done to me?"
"Hey, what did you do to me? You ambushed me while I was adjusting the connection machine and then asked what I was doing? You should consider yourself lucky; you're the first member of the company to experience the power of this system. Don't thank me." As he began to crack his knuckles, Yang Xiaoyou wore an evil grin that sent a chill down Laiwei's spine.
"Hey, what are you two doing in there? What kind of system is this? Also, did you notice anything about that guy's actions towards that girl?" After the two entered, Lucas started a half-hearted discussion with his fellow Blackie friend.
"If this is a training system, then it is indeed a training system. As for its effectiveness, it can at least improve performance by thirty percent. I believe it can achieve that." Duh didn't directly answer Lucas's second question but emphasized his trust in Yang Xiaoyou.
Lucas's expression grew more perplexed. Did this guy know something he didn't? After all, he was just a newcomer.
About twenty minutes later, as the two outside continued their idle chatter, there was a hissing sound, and the lids of two strange boxes popped open.
Then Yang Xiaoyou emerged with a satisfied expression, whistling as he dressed and headed toward the kitchen. "Today I'll treat you well, but then you need to get your butts to the hotel. Otherwise, you'll have to experience this sensation too. We're still in the experimental phase; it's not fully developed yet. Honestly, I wouldn't mind having more test subjects."
As he donned an apron and began preparing ingredients with practiced ease, Yang Xiaoyou's words made the two outside feel a bit uneasy.
Meanwhile, Laiwei remained lying in the 'coffin,' seemingly lost in thought and showing no signs of getting up. It was unclear what had happened to him; he looked somewhat dazed, which made Duh feel a bit sympathetic. What could have happened in just twenty minutes?
He understood the terrifying capabilities of that pervert; his partner must have inexplicably suffered some loss.
From the name of the virtual training system, he could infer some of its functions.
"Alright. Don't be disheartened; actually—" Just as Duh approached to offer some comforting words, Laiwei suddenly pushed him away and flipped himself upright. He didn't care that he was only in his underwear; he dashed into the kitchen and grabbed Yang Xiaoyou by the collar, dragging him along.
As he pulled him along, Laiwei fiercely tugged at Yang Xiaoyou's clothes, leaving Duh and Lucas dumbfounded by the scene.
"Let go of me! I'm not like that! Ouch! Stop it! I can handle it myself!" Usually, it was Yang Xiaoyou who undressed others; now he couldn't handle being treated like this.
Then he was forcefully shoved back into the 'coffin' as the Virtual System activated.
"Come on, let me serve you some food!"
"Come on, would you like a drink?"
"I'll do the dishes."
As a plate shattered into pieces, I couldn't help but feel a bit speechless watching Yang Xiaoyou, who was frantically trying to clean up the mess.
No wonder she is Luo Guohui's sister. Initially, I had intended to punish her a bit more harshly, thinking it would have an impact, but I didn't expect this fellow to be so carefree that she immediately grabbed onto the opportunity to practice again, seemingly relishing the experience.
The Virtual Docking System, under my adjustments, had achieved a phenomenon somewhat akin to Cognitive Acceleration. Each person could withstand different levels of acceleration. For Laiwei, who had already reached Momentum Level, Yang Xiaoyou adjusted it to four times. What started as twenty minutes had effectively turned into eighty minutes. Coupled with the additional training time she was caught in later, it was impressive how much energy she had.
Was she some kind of tireless monster?
"I need to remind you that while the virtual training system can help us improve, it should not be overused. Otherwise, it can lead to a desensitization towards life and safety in reality. Injuries or even death in the Virtual System can be recovered from, but that's not the case in real life. If you suffer irreversible injuries, it will affect you for a lifetime." Although I wanted to impose some punishment on that reckless fellow, Yang Xiaoyou still seriously pointed out some of the drawbacks.
Everything has its limits; the benefits of the virtual training system are evident, but excessive use can also turn those benefits into disadvantages.
