"Well, aside from this special ability, my combat power is still not as good as that stupid bear. However, its threat is indeed significant." After crushing the creature's skull with a kick, Yang Xiaoyou's expression turned serious once again.
There was no time to investigate the mysterious Master and the creatures' intentions. The words of this Gentleman were far more deadly. Looking up, Yang Xiaoyou saw thick smoke billowing from the city, chaos erupting within the military camp. He couldn't help but sigh.
Compared to the impulsive nature of most creatures, this somewhat cold-blooded entity was exceptionally skilled. Using its superficial identity and status, it had successfully turned the heavily guarded Kanpur into what lay before him.
Although it was somewhat remote, even the commander's quarters had collapsed, and no soldiers had arrived yet. This indicated that the situation inside the camp was already dire.
The fall of Kanpur seemed almost inevitable. With the only large military base in the vicinity being breached and a large-scale Infected Entity appearing here, the entire upper Ganges region was likely within the radius of danger!
"Sigh, this has already exceeded my capabilities; I truly apologize." If he could have stopped it in its infancy, Yang Xiaoyou wouldn't have minded taking some risks. After all, there were too many people here. Even setting aside morality, purely from a self-interest perspective, the potential number of entities that could arise posed a significant threat to him.
Clearly, however, this situation had surpassed his control. The only choice left now was self-preservation.
"What are you doing here?!" Just as Yang Xiaoyou was lamenting that no one had come to check on the collapsed building, a group of relatively organized British Soldiers came running toward him. The leader immediately shouted at Yang Xiaoyou upon seeing him.
The others quickly chambered their bullets.
Glancing over, Yang Xiaoyou noticed they were all normal humans—likely an elite unit within the military—maintaining relative composure amidst the chaos.
This made Yang Xiaoyou pause his initial intent to ignore them and leave.
"Can't you see for yourselves? Your Commander has been eaten by these monsters, and your current chaos is also caused by them. Kanpur is finished."
Casually kicking at the corpse beneath his feet, Yang Xiaoyou spoke as if it were nothing.
At this moment, the captain's eyes widened slightly; it was clear this was a special Infected Entity. They had seen several Crimson Infected Entities slaughtering soldiers from a distance earlier, forcing their fully armed team to take a detour. Yet here stood someone who had single-handedly killed one!
The visual impact on the others present was striking.
Mainly, the individual before them looked too frail, and shockingly, he bore no weapons. The scene felt utterly incongruous.
Taking a deep breath, the captain pondered for a moment before speaking.
"I sincerely appreciate your efforts in eliminating this Infected Entity. However, could you tell me why you are here?"
"I've already stated my reason. Initially, I just wanted to see if this place could serve as a refuge. Now that things have escalated to this point, there’s no saving it. I'm preparing to find a vehicle for evacuation. Do you really think you can turn the tide in this situation? Even with a hundred thousand troops, how many will remain amidst such chaos? Once scattered, your army's ability to crush the enemy will be significantly diminished." Yang Xiaoyou's words were blunt and even somewhat sharp.
Yet, upon hearing such remarks, those present could only show a hint of bitterness on their faces. They had finally made it to the outskirts of the chaos, only to find their commander dead. In a scenario where everyone fought for themselves, it was indeed likely that things would unfold as Yang Xiaoyou suggested.
The chaos erupted from the military camp, shattering the core defensive forces and leaving nothing but a massacre in its wake!
Claiming to have an army of a hundred thousand meant that they were spread across the entire Kampur Region, with various military camps dispersed around. This was merely the central camp; if all places were like this...
The stationed troops could exert tremendous power under excellent coordination and management, but once they fell into disarray and fought individually, it would be exceptionally easy for them to be defeated. Soldiers are human too; they harbor fear within. If this fear spreads...
"You and I both want help, don't we?" The captain was quick on the uptake, clearly realizing that Yang Xiaoyou had not left without reason but had chosen to stay under such pressing circumstances.
"It's cooperation. The target is your Armored Camp. I just need to borrow a helicopter. If all helicopters are indeed destroyed, then an armored vehicle will suffice." As Yang Xiaoyou spoke these words, a hint of a smile appeared at the corner of his mouth.
"Impossible! It's not that I'm being stubborn; it's just that the Armored Camp is where the chaos first erupted. It's nearly completely overrun by Infected Entities. Almost half of those fast-reacting Red Infected Entities are there. If we could mobilize from the Armored Camp, we wouldn't be in such a passive position now!" The captain declared decisively at that moment. It was no joke; having barely escaped, he was not about to die without understanding in such chaotic conditions.
At this point, preserving their remaining forces and regrouping was the best strategy; needless sacrifices would only increase the number of Infected Entities!
"That's why it's cooperation," Yang Xiaoyou's voice sounded somewhat indifferent at this moment.
Aside from a few tanks and armored vehicles that had collided with each other, the entire Armored Camp surprisingly remained largely intact. Most mechanical units were neatly stationed in their original positions; however, aside from the sturdy armored units, all equipment resembling armed helicopters had been structurally damaged from outside.
The entire camp was filled with the stench of blood and thick smoke, indicating that it had been completely overwhelmed in almost an instant, with little to no resistance formed. This was the initial point of the ambush and explosion.
Moreover, several Crimson Figures were continuously leaping onto these mechanical units, seemingly patrolling rather than participating in the external Hunt.
At that moment, a slight sound from a corner alerted the three nearby Lickers, causing them to change their patrol route and rush towards the source of the noise with incredible speed.
As they circled around to the back of the military camp from three directions, they found nothing in front of them. In that brief moment of pause, a figure's toes slowly emerged from the center below.
Then, an astonishing spiral motion erupted from that spot, resembling a flickering flame, dreamlike and surreal!
Accompanying that incredible rotation was a sharp slicing sound cutting through the air; within ten meters, silver strands flickered like a lightning storm!
After just a few seconds, the high-speed figure came to a halt, and the silver strands danced back toward him.
The three Lickers, now frozen in place, instantly shattered into pieces, exploding all over the ground!
This left the British Army hidden behind the walls in utter shock!
They began to realize that the situation was far worse than they had imagined. They truly wanted to turn and flee, but the overwhelming power that had just annihilated three Advanced Infected capable of crushing their squad left them speechless!
No wonder there was cooperation! No wonder they had confidence in seizing vehicles from here!
Such terrifying strength could easily navigate even this harsh environment!
What puzzled them slightly was that with such skills, sneaking away seemed much easier; after all, while armored vehicles were sturdy, they were also larger targets. They couldn't understand why they would choose to take such risks.
Was their initial target merely the helicopter? Unfortunately, this area’s helicopter was...
"Everyone has their own needs; let's part ways here." Swiftly grabbing two boxes of ammunition supplies beside him, he stuffed them into a beige Mighty Hound armored vehicle. Then he jumped into the driver's seat and inexplicably unlocked the electronic lock in an instant. With one press on the accelerator, six powerful tires began to spin rapidly as he charged out of the military camp.
Beside the British Soldier, who seemed to awaken from a dream, they abandoned their supplies and rushed towards another vehicle, quickly getting to work.
As elite special forces, they successfully activated their assault just as the approaching Licker arrived in front of them. They crashed into one Licker, rolling over it and escaping from another direction.
The Mighty Hound armored vehicle was a standard issue for the British Army, specifically designed to counter roadside bombs and suicide attacks. It featured two operable Machine Gun turrets on the front and rear of its top, and was nearly fully enclosed. It was equipped with various special functions, including additional armor protection, electronic jamming devices specifically for roadside bombs, and a digital communication system.
This reconnaissance armored vehicle was quite comprehensive, and its six-wheeled design allowed for impressive speed.
Yet this steel Mighty Hound surged through the already chaotic streets at high speed. Compared to the disarray caused by colliding vehicles, this brutal armored car showcased its ferocity; it either smashed through obstacles or rolled over low-lying cars.
On the road, refugees waved desperately at the military vehicle as if it were their savior, even attempting to flag it down. However, Yang Xiaoyou, gripping the steering wheel, had coldness in his eyes. He avoided all who tried to stop him; those he could not evade were simply run over without reducing speed.
Although most people attempting to stop the vehicle managed to dodge out of the way upon realizing the danger, there were still two middle-aged men in fine clothes who believed they would not be hit. They were directly knocked aside.
After witnessing such ferocity as two individuals were sent flying, few dared to attempt stopping the vehicle again. Instead, they could only shout in anger or plead in despair from behind.
