"Quickly pack up, don't worry, your son, who is scarier than any monster, will definitely be fine. We still don't know who is consuming whom," a certain Foodie Boss urged the two who seemed somewhat distracted as they hurriedly packed the tent into a large bundle.
Since all the inns had been fully booked from the start, the group had set up their tents under a relatively remote tree after entering the city.
From their current position, they could see the chaos spreading throughout the city. Remembering the news they received when they first left the Arms Trading Market—that it was caused by Yang Xiaoyou—both Yang Kai and Qin Meng couldn't help but feel a sense of dread.
This commotion seemed a bit excessive, and from some of the panicked passersby, they heard rumors about a cannibalistic madman in the city. Having personally experienced the Airport Incident, they understood what this meant.
However, it was unlikely that Yang Xiaoyou was responsible for releasing any virus.
It was just that those Infected Entities hadn't appeared here yet, so they had no idea how dire the situation truly was. They had promised Yang Xiaoyou to wait for him here, so even though everyone around them was blindly fleeing with the crowd, they remained rooted in place.
After gathering all their Wilderness Survival Tools, they realized that in times like these, the importance of supplies became even more apparent. Although they looked burdened with their large packs, as professionals, they understood that what they carried could save their lives at any moment.
Moreover, their physical conditioning had long accustomed them to long treks with such loads.
Yet, aside from ordinary people who blindly followed the crowd in times of crisis, there were also many shrewd individuals who thought ahead and planned for the future.
Five men who had originally rushed past them suddenly noticed what was strapped to their backs. They nudged each other and stopped to discuss quietly among themselves. After glancing around at the chaotic environment, they turned back toward Yang Kai and Qin Meng.
"How much are you selling your things for? Name your price," one of the more elegantly dressed men among them said in a tone that carried a hint of authority.
From his demeanor, there was a faintly distinct aura about him, suggesting that his position was not merely one of high status.
"That is the attire of a Brahmin Priest. Although it is indigenous to India, its standing here is certainly not lower than that of our British nobility. In some ways, we are also leveraging their power to govern this place." Despite being a bachelor of noble honor, the Foodie Boss was somewhat aware of the current state of affairs in this colonial territory and spoke in a lowered voice, frowning slightly.
Seeing the three across from him still whispering without responding, the noble-looking man in traditional attire grew impatient. He tossed a bundle of money onto the ground and gestured for his subordinates to retrieve the items, seemingly aware of the urgency and unwilling to waste any time.
Moreover, the two cold-faced men nearby had drawn guns from their pockets. Although they did not aim them at anyone, the threat was unmistakable.
Yang Kai and Simon exchanged helpless glances and shrugged, while a certain Foodie let out an unprincipled whistle.
"I truly admire your courage for provoking these two fellows."
"Hah, what if we have? Are they really that strong? Even if they are, my two bodyguards were specifically sent by my clan. Even if I can't command them, their strength is such that even a Living Buddha-level expert would struggle to evade both of them at once." The young Brahmin Priest wore a condescending expression on his face.
In this land, they were supreme; even after hundreds of years of British rule, they still relied on their influence!
"Indeed, your bodyguards are quite formidable. I do feel some pressure. However, together they can only handle an ordinary Momentum Level martial artist at most. Facing both of them... well. The most terrifying part is that they have an even more impressive son; I dare not exploit them any further." The unprincipled Foodie shrugged with a hint of schadenfreude.
Just as the Priest's expression shifted, a massive mechanical roar echoed in the distance. A Beige Military Armored Vehicle appeared at the end of the street, charging through the chaotic thoroughfare like a rampaging bull, causing startled cries to erupt from onlookers.
Finally, it came to an abrupt stop in front of both groups.
The Young Priest's face changed slightly as he immediately shifted his attention to the armored vehicle. A glimmer of joy appeared on his face as he abandoned Yang Kai and his companions, rushing over with his ever-present bodyguards. The other two henchmen who had been preparing to seize something also halted their actions and began to observe.
"Are you here to take me out? I will definitely reward you handsomely once I leave safely!" As soon as the armored vehicle came to a stop and the door swung open, the young Priest was ready to jump in, speaking with an excited tone that hinted at a narrow escape.
"Wow, you just got here, huh? You guys are really unfortunate. If it were us taking action, it would just be a beating. But of course, you had to bring him over at this moment." A Foodie, who had somehow managed to grab a Caterpillar and was stuffing it into his mouth, couldn't help but sound a bit downcast.
"Guns?" Yang Xiaoyou frowned as he opened the door and saw the fellow trying to squeeze in. His gaze fell on the two armed bodyguards beside him. After glancing at the backpack near his parents, his expression darkened instantly. With a flick of his wrist, a Silver Pistol appeared in his hand.
The two bodyguards, already feeling uneasy, changed their expressions slightly as a wave of panic washed over them.
Just as these experienced Gunmen noticed the shift and were about to raise their hands, two gunshots rang out. Two spiraling bullets effortlessly pierced through their heads, creating splashes of blood.
The bodyguards, who had just raised their hands, were thrown back with bewildered expressions as the bullets struck them with tremendous force. They fell to the ground, eyes wide open in death. These were Elite marksmen with extensive experience in dodging bullets! Yet they never expected someone could shoot them dead without giving them any time to react.
Given the recent series of actions that left no time for purging murderous intent, and now having someone actively provoke his bottom line, Yang Xiaoyou showed no signs of mercy.
Playing with guns? Sorry, but this life of mine began with mastering firearms.
