Ye Yu had never imagined that he would one day meet the legendary Lord of Sin City. He couldn't quite understand why this Dragon City Lord would want to help him with something; with the lord's power, how many things could possibly challenge him?
"Please, come in," the Dragon City Lord said. Despite being the highest leader of a planet, he showed no airs, even when facing these two young men, one of whom had just escaped from prison.
Qin Guan chuckled and boldly walked in, taking a seat on a wooden chair. In front of him was a tea table adorned with several porcelain teacups and a clay teapot. Ye Yu felt a stir in his heart but was not intimidated; he followed Qin Guan and sat directly opposite him.
The Dragon City Lord lightly adjusted his robe and took a seat right in the middle between the two. He then extended his hands and poured each of them a cup of clear tea.
The tea was a light green, reminiscent of the verdant trees surrounding the wooden house. It had a subtle fragrance that filled the air, bringing with it a refreshing essence.
Qin Guan seemed a bit thirsty; as soon as the Dragon City Lord filled his cup, he tilted his head back and drank it all in one go. He smacked his lips and said, "Only the lord would serve such exquisite Pre-Rain Green Tea to guests; I wouldn't dare waste it."
Clearly, Qin Guan knew the value of this tea but appeared unconcerned. Ye Yu didn't recognize this type of tea but understood that anything labeled as exquisite must be quite expensive.
"A good tea needs someone to appreciate it to realize its value. I believe treating you both to this tea is well worth it," the Dragon City Lord said before refilling Qin Guan's cup and gesturing for Ye Yu to try some as well.
Ye Yu naturally complied respectfully, lifting his cup for a light sip. The tea was sweet and refreshing, leaving a lingering taste that resonated in his mouth. A faint aroma enveloped Ye Yu's senses, refusing to dissipate for quite some time.
"Good tea!" Ye Yu might not know much about tea, but he recognized its quality and couldn't help but express his admiration.
Qin Guan rolled his eyes before picking up his cup to drink again. Although he wasn't savoring it delicately, he was drinking much slower than before.
"Hahaha! Then I won't beat around the bush any longer. The reason I invited you both here is to ask for your help with an issue I can't resolve myself at Withered Source Star."
Long Yin Yue straightforwardly informed the two of his purpose. However, Ye Yu furrowed his brows slightly; it seemed that this matter was not in Sin City but on another planet, which appeared to be quite troublesome.
As for Qin Guan, he remained unfazed, indicating that he likely already knew what situation he was about to face. Ye Yu's mind raced as he pondered what challenges lay ahead. At that moment, Jin Shan had been silent, only previously mentioning that he had agreed to the other party's request without revealing the true reason to Ye Yu. Although he trusted Jin Shan, a sense of unease lingered in his heart.
"Everyone knows the uniqueness of Silver Dragon Star. As for matters beyond Silver Dragon Star, I am powerless. However, there are a group of people on Withered Source Star whose purpose is to disrupt this star region, and I certainly cannot allow that. The issue is that this planet has its peculiarities; the official forces of Silver Dragon Star cannot conveniently intervene. Therefore, I am asking both of you to find a way to deal with the leader of that group. Once you do, they will simply be a rabble!"
Long Yin Yue's explanation was straightforward, but Ye Yu sensed a dangerous undertone. This Dragon City Lord was implying that the group intended to disrupt this star region—what kind of formidable power did they possess? Although Ye Yu knew his combat abilities were decent, how much could a mere mortal body achieve?
Regarding Sin City, Ye Yu was aware that there were several other planets in this area; however, those planets were relatively distant, and he had never heard of one called Withered Source Star. Moreover, if such a planet truly existed, even if Long Yin Yue was powerless to act, the Federation would have sufficient strength to resolve the issue.
"I don't know where Withered Source Star is located. As far as I know, the Federation doesn't seem to have any planet by that name!" Ye Yu voiced his doubts. Living in Arrow Camp allowed him to learn some knowledge, but it still felt insufficiently comprehensive.
"Withered Source Star does not actually belong to any of the five major districts; it is a unique existence situated between a satellite and a comet. It takes ten thousand years for it to orbit the star in the Northern District, and its orbit is extremely irregular. When it is far from the star, the temperature on the planet drops to several degrees below zero; when it approaches the star, temperatures rise to forty or fifty degrees—extremely unsuitable for human survival.
When our ancestors first opened up the Northern District, they discovered this planet but lacked the energy to develop such a challenging one at that time and thus neglected it. Who would have thought that hundreds of years later, after the planetary construction work in Northern District concluded, this planet had already become someone else's property?
No one knows when this planet became owned by someone else; there are even relevant decrees signed with the Federation as proof. Although Withered Source Star can barely be considered a satellite of Silver Dragon Star, there was no way to fully control it back then. Due to its harsh environment, few were willing to settle there, and thus it was overlooked.
Nearly ten thousand years have passed since then; it has turned into a chaotic place with various forces distributed throughout. There is even a powerful united defense army that bands together whenever someone tries to encroach upon their territory.
Given Silver Dragon Star's special status, initiating an all-out war is not something to be taken lightly. The previous attacks have made relations between Silver Dragon Star and Withered Source Star quite awkward; therefore, even knowing there are individuals I must deal with within this situation makes it inconvenient for me to take action!"
At this point in Long Yin Yue's explanation, a flicker of unusual light flashed in his eyes. Ye Yu noticed this; although Long Yin Yue was on Withered Source Star, where exactly was the true source?
The Withered Source Star is a satellite of the Silver Dragon Star, but it is not under the control of the Silver Dragon Star. Instead, it occasionally brings trouble to the Silver Dragon Star. Among all the planets in the Federation, the Silver Dragon Star is the most unique. The reason why the Federation does not assist the Silver Dragon Star in dealing with the issues caused by the Withered Source Star is quite clear.
The existence of the Withered Source Star serves to restrain the Silver Dragon Star, a planet of special status. As long as the Silver Dragon Star exists, the forces on the Withered Source Star will not be eradicated!
