For an eighteen-year-old young man, suddenly mastering an incredible skill was undoubtedly a joyous occasion. At this moment, Ye Yu's entire focus was on his ethereal steps, and even as he approached the City Lord's Mansion, he did not cease his movements.
Suddenly, a wave of unease washed over Ye Yu, a bad feeling enveloping him completely. It was then that he realized he had not been using his Mental Power. After returning to Silver Dragon Star, Ye Yu had let his guard down. At that moment, the sense of danger surged upon him, and he felt as if he were laid bare before everyone, completely exposed.

"Captain Ye, welcome back to Silver Dragon Star!" Just as Ye Yu was lost in thought, Long Yin Yue's figure appeared in his line of sight without him noticing. Unbeknownst to him, he had already reached the entrance of the City Lord's Mansion.
"Mr. Long!" Ye Yu was unsure how to respond and awkwardly saluted Long Yin Yue. At that moment, however, he keenly noticed Long Yin Yue's gaze flicker towards a certain direction, his expression slightly different.
Almost simultaneously, Ye Yu followed Long Yin Yue's line of sight and caught a glimpse of a faint shadow that vanished in an instant. When he focused again on that direction, nothing remained; it seemed everything had just been an illusion.
Seeing Ye Yu's expression, a fleeting hint of something unusual flashed in Long Yin Yue's eyes, but it returned to normal in the blink of an eye.
Ye Yu did not notice Long Yin Yue's oddity; he simply shook his head lightly. As for what he truly thought inside, perhaps even he himself was unclear.
Long Yin Yue did not dwell on it either; instead, he warmly led Ye Yu to his reception room and asked him to recount the details of recent events. However, Ye Yu naturally made some modifications regarding sensitive matters, attributing many of Jin Shan's actions to coincidence. Fortunately, Long Yin Yue did not press further on these points, which relieved Ye Yu greatly.
The two continued their conversation until evening. In the meantime, Long Ruofei stopped by to inform Ye Yu about some matters concerning the Fourth Squad. However, Ye Yu's official appointment would take some time; after all, Silver Dragon Star had just faced an attack from the Wavebreaker Legion and there were many issues to address.
As it was getting late, after finishing the last sip of Premium Green Tea in his cup, Ye Yu prepared to rise and leave! Instinctively, he employed the peculiar steps he had just learned!
"Ah—" Just as Ye Yu moved, a delicate cry rang out beside him. Upon hearing the voice, Ye Yu thought to himself that something was amiss!
At that moment, a girl lay on the ground. She wore a pink running outfit; beneath her snug shorts were long and delicate legs. On her upper body was only a fitted pink short-sleeve shirt that revealed her fair arms. The pair of high peaks on her chest seemed still in development and were gently trembling at that moment.
Ye Yu was momentarily taken aback as he gazed at the girl’s delicate face, which bore a hint of fear. It quickly dawned on him that she was none other than Long Ling'er, the daughter of Long Yin Yue, the ethereal woman he had encountered some time ago.
“Ling'er, what brings you here?” Long Yin Yue was the first to react, immediately asking.
Her call snapped Ye Yu out of his daze. He instinctively reached out his hand, signaling to Long Ling'er that he wanted to help her up.
He didn’t even notice how abrupt this gesture was until a delicate hand, soft enough to seem like it could be squeezed for water, rested in his palm.
Without thinking, Ye Yu grasped Long Ling'er’s hand. With barely any effort, he pulled her up.
“Father, I missed you so much while you were away!” Long Ling'er stepped lightly toward Long Yin Yue, smiling like a young lady and revealing a faint dimple.
“I was discussing some matters with Captain Ye regarding Silver Dragon Star…”
“I know about Captain Ye; Aunt Fei Fei has told me everything. If it weren’t for Captain Ye, Silver Dragon Star would have faced a tremendous crisis!” Before Long Yin Yue could finish, Long Ling'er interrupted her father.
Long Ling'er sat on the couch, swinging her legs back and forth. Ye Yu felt as if his eyes were being dazzled by the motion. Hearing her praise made him smile foolishly without knowing what to say.
“Father, I’m going for a run. Captain Ye, would you like to join me?”
Suddenly, Ye Yu caught a whiff of a faint fragrance reminiscent of fresh grass. A graceful figure stood before him. It was only then that he realized Long Ling'er had approached him without him noticing.
“Respectfully, I will follow your lead!” Ye Yu took a deep breath to steady himself. At eighteen years old, he had no reason to refuse an invitation from a girl who was both extraordinary and strikingly beautiful. Moreover, it was she who had taken the initiative to invite him.
“Well then, Father, we’ll head out now!”
At this moment, the initiative in the scene was entirely held by a young woman. Before the two men could react, that pink figure had already disappeared deep into the forest. Ye Yu hurriedly bid farewell to Long Yin Yue and chased after Long Ling'er, who was not far ahead.

"Shall we go for another lap?" the young man asked instinctively, and the young woman naturally agreed. As they began their second lap, the distance that had separated them vanished without either of them noticing; they had taken each other's hands. Like two lovers in the throes of romance, they gently swung their arms, both wearing soft smiles on their faces.
No one questioned whether they should walk another lap; they continued to stroll around Tangsun Lake effortlessly. Unbeknownst to them, night had deepened, and though the air was cool, their hearts burned with warmth.
"Can I hug you?" As they reached the entrance of the city lord's mansion and were about to part ways, the young man finally summoned his courage and asked earnestly. The young woman opened her delicate arms and wrapped them around his neck.
Feeling her warmth and heartbeat, he trembled slightly as he gazed at her exquisite, dewy face and continued, "Can I kiss you?"
A blush instantly spread across her cheeks, but she slightly turned her head away, revealing half of her face. The young man felt a rush of emotion and gently leaned in to kiss her.
Like a dragonfly skimming the water's surface, they naturally parted afterward. Watching her retreating figure, Ye Yu felt a surge of reluctance rise within him...
