Wherever there are people, there is a world of intrigue; where there is intrigue, there will naturally be rankings. The Assassin's List is one of the many rankings within the Federation, and it stands out as one of the most popular. The Assassin's List is divided into two categories: the main list and the Local Ranking. The Local Ranking features assassins aged eighty and below, while the main list consists of assassins over eighty.
The only difference between these two lists lies in age; being on the main list does not necessarily mean that those assassins are more skilled than those on the Local Ranking, nor does it mean that the Local Ranking assassins are weaker. The advantage of the main list is that its assassins possess extensive assassination experience, while the strength of the Local Ranking assassins lies in their peak mental and physical condition.
Each Assassin's List contains only one hundred assassins, selected based on ratings from an Underworld organization. This selection process has never been publicly questioned for centuries, which speaks to its authority! One such assassin on the list is known as the Trench Coat Man, ranked ninety-eighth, who excels in gravity manipulation and mental deception.
All of this was relayed to him by Hulk, who knew about this assassin because he had successfully killed a captain from the Silver Dragon Guard. This assassination brought Shadow fame, but it also incurred the wrath of the Silver Dragon Guard. Since then, Shadow seemed to have vanished without a trace; no matter how hard the Silver Dragon Guard searched, they could not find him again. Many even speculated that he had fled to the Blue Seal Empire.
Little did anyone expect that years later he would return to assassinate members of the Silver Dragon Guard once more. However, this time he was not so fortunate and fell into Ye Yu's hands after just a few exchanges.
As Hulk finished speaking, a ten-member Patrol Team rushed in. Just moments ago, Ye Yu had nearly split the entire office in half with a single strike, triggering the alert system.
One officer spotted Ye Yu and immediately raised his Phase Gun, shouting, "Put your hands up!"
Ye Yu narrowed his eyes slightly but remained still. He had just swept his Mental Power across the room and realized these individuals were merely stronger than average people. Confident in his abilities, Ye Yu believed he could disarm them in mere moments without sustaining any harm.
Just as the officer shouted, Ye Yu's figure vanished. When he reappeared, he was already beside the officer. The officer's gun had somehow ended up in Ye Yu's hand and was now aimed at his head.
"Drop your weapons!" Ye Yu's voice was soft but clear enough for everyone to hear. Instinctively, they relaxed their expressions, and their guns slowly lowered.
"Don't lower your weapons!"
Suddenly, a young officer who appeared to be in his twenties shouted loudly. The soldiers who were about to lower their guns immediately raised them again, watching Ye Yu warily.
Ye Yu was momentarily taken aback. When he spoke earlier, he had used a bit of Mental Power, which had a somewhat confusing effect. He believed that as long as the other party was not too agitated, he could clarify everything. However, it seemed that this young officer was unaffected and even managed to remind his companions! This indicated that the officer had some level of talent, though it was unclear whether he possessed any Ability.
With countless thoughts racing through his mind, Ye Yu knew this was not the time for hesitation. To avoid any accidental harm, he activated the Lightness Technique, transforming himself into a presence like the wind.
There were a few gasps of surprise, and before anyone could react, Ye Yu had already grabbed a large handful of Assault Phase Guns. Without a second glance, he tossed the weapons far away.
"You are... Blue Marked People!"
The young officer stared wide-eyed at Ye Yu's actions, incredulity written all over his face as he asked.
Ye Yu shook his head just as Hulk approached, pulling out a paper document from his pocket and handing it to the young officer.
"We are here for supplies; you need to contact the person in charge!" Hulk's massive frame exuded an undeniable pressure. The young officer glanced at the emblem on the document and immediately nodded. He then raised his arm to the communicator and reported, "Report to Commander, we have people here for supplies..."
The subsequent process went surprisingly smoothly. The Shadow Team quickly received ample material support, including twenty units of Type 9 Battle Mechs. Although these Battle Mechs were not the latest models, they were sufficient to significantly enhance the combat capability of the entire team!
Of course, the mechs were just one part of it; various intelligent combat weapons filled one of the ships. With such armament, they could easily engage in a large-scale ground battle! It seemed that in order to completely eliminate the core members of the Wavebreaker Legion, Silver Dragon Star had made a substantial commitment, even involving forces related to Silver Dragon Star.
Three ships flew in a triangular formation into the vast depths of space. However, compared to the boundless universe, their speed felt painfully slow.
At the forefront was the command ship that Ye Yu occupied. Only ten members of the Shadow Team were aboard this ship; the other twenty were distributed across the other two vessels. All three ships were High Mountain Class interstellar cruisers, with lengths not exceeding three kilometers. Even so, they created an artificial gravity environment inside to prevent long-term exposure to weightlessness from harming their bodies.
At that moment, Ye Yu stood in the Command Center of the starship, gazing at the almost unchanging environment in the distance, feeling a surge of inexplicable emotions within him. He suddenly began to long for the garden deep in his memories, yearning for the morning light over Tangsun Lake, and reminiscing about the faint fragrance from that night.
“High Mountain One, High Mountain One, this is High Mountain Two. We have detected a large number of trails left by starships in this area!” Just then, Ye Yu was pulled back to reality by a series of urgent calls.
“Immediately compare the recent navigation data for this area!” Ye Yu reacted swiftly; each starship's trail had its own characteristics, and the Federation could preliminarily analyze the condition of the ships through these trails.
“Report one: based on the length of time these trails were left, there are no recorded ships that have been here recently!” Soon, the Intelligence Officer beside Ye Yu relayed the findings to him.
“We are analyzing the basic information these trails can provide us, but it will take a bit longer!” the Intelligence Officer continued. After all, retrieving data was much faster than starting from scratch with data analysis.
The Intelligence Officer then began operating the computer for analysis. Ye Yu did not wait long before he heard a voice: “According to the data comparison, these trails belong to different ships, including those of the Blue Marked People. Referring to our intelligence database, these trails should belong to ships of the Wavebreaker Legion!”
A satisfied smile appeared on Ye Yu's lips as he nodded and said, “Since we have found their traces, adjust the ship's course and pursue them!”
