"Not good! Quicksand Area!" Ye Yu thought to himself, immediately realizing he had stepped into the Quicksand Area.

The dazzling Laser Beam flashed by in an instant, appearing exceptionally bright even under the intense lighting. A soldier who was searching around immediately fell to the ground as Ye Yu made his move.
Meanwhile, the remaining team of fewer than thirty people sensed that something was wrong, causing a bit of panic among them. Ye Yu could see their searchlights sweeping around, but they found nothing.
Ye Yu estimated the distance; the enemy was getting close to the Quicksand Area. He cautiously moved toward the right side where the quicksand was located, then looked up again and fired several shots!
Several Crimson Light Beams seemed to have a mind of their own as they struck three soldiers in the chest, causing them to collapse instantly.
Immediately, beams of light shot toward Ye Yu's direction. Previously hidden in the shadows, Ye Yu was now fully exposed under their illumination.
However, Ye Yu was not reckless. The moment he realized he had been spotted, he quickly rolled behind a rock. The terrain here was peculiar—either flat plains or a Stone Forest filled with jagged rocks, interspersed with areas of quicksand.

The strange pull of the quicksand instilled fear even in those still on solid ground.
Although the students from the Federal First Military Academy were still just students, their experience set them apart from others. While they were unsure if this was indeed a trap, they knew for certain that attempting to rescue their comrades would likely lead to their own demise.
After running for more than a minute, Ye Yu felt that more people were following him from behind. In a hurried glance back at his pursuers, he saw that less than half of them remained! At that moment, Ye Yu understood that his plan had worked; although he faced dire circumstances now, at least his main force had a greater chance of victory.
The enemy was not without intelligence either; those at the front kept firing in an attempt to halt Ye Yu's advance. However, the darkness provided him with excellent cover. Coupled with the occasional protruding rocks, although it was challenging, Ye Yu managed to find sufficient hiding spots while evading capture.
Ye Yu constantly calculated the time in his mind. They had traveled a straight distance for over ten minutes, and now he had been running for five minutes. Although it was intermittent and he was taking a detour, he should be getting closer!
