Under the scorching sun, an invisible heat rose from the street. The dust suspended in the air seemed to be unable to bear the heat, restlessly swirling around.
Wang Jiu was panting heavily, as if trying to expel the heat from his body, but it was all in vain. Beside him was a Round-Faced Man, who was currently watching the surroundings with a wary expression. To Ye Yu's surprise, after shooting Wang Jiu, the enemy did not pursue the Round-Faced Man when he escaped. Until the Round-Faced Man returned to find them, no enemies had appeared.
"The enemy is very cautious; it seems we need to take the initiative," Ouyang Yi suggested upon seeing the Round-Faced Man return.
"Yes, they shouldn't have gone far. We can't let them escape easily after losing one of our own," the Round-Faced Man replied, slightly out of breath.
Ye Yu glanced at his team. Currently, Nasha was injured, and another member of Ouyang Yi's team was also hurt; they only had six usable members left. Given this situation, it was indeed not suitable to drag things out; they needed to eliminate the enemy at any opportunity. However, they couldn't ignore their injured teammates.
"I can still hold on!" Nasha proactively stated, aware of Ye Yu's concerns.

Ye Yu hesitated no longer. Although they were in a virtual environment, their stamina was still limited. In this situation, quickly resolving the enemy was undoubtedly the right choice.
The group stealthily moved toward the direction from which the enemy had fired earlier, their actions synchronized to prevent being detected first by their foes.
At that moment, Ye Yu's vision blurred as he noticed a figure rapidly changing positions. A sense of unease washed over him; how could he have detected the enemy so easily?
However, Ye Yu had no time for further contemplation. Seeing the enemy had already appeared, he quickly signaled his team to be alert. Soon, he spotted several indistinct figures inside a nearby house, likely the team that had just made their move.
Then, Ye Yu turned to Ouyang Yi and made a gesture to split their forces, inquiring if they could encircle the enemy from two directions. The room had both a front and a back door, making it suitable for a pincer attack.
Ouyang Yi nodded and gestured for Ye Yu to proceed first. Without hesitation, Ye Yu led his team forward; their previous collaborations had gone smoothly.
They were not far from the room, and within a minute, Ye Yu and his team reached the front door. At that moment, Ouyang Yi also arrived at the back door with his group.
The two exchanged nods, and then there were two loud bangs as both doors swung open almost simultaneously.
As soon as Ye Yu burst into the room, gunfire erupted. However, the enemy seemed well-prepared, taking cover behind obstacles and waiting to counterattack.
"Surrender! You are surrounded!" Xia Chiu shouted while firing her weapon. She had observed that there were at most four enemies inside, while her side had eight members—an overwhelming numerical advantage.
According to the rules of the First Military Academy, if the enemy wished to surrender, they could automatically exit the game, allowing the victorious side to earn more points. Of course, very few students from the First Military Academy would voluntarily surrender.
Suddenly, at that moment, Ye Yu felt something hard pressing against his back.
"Don't move!" A familiar yet strange voice echoed in Ye Yu's ear.
In an instant, Ye Yu was stunned as if struck by lightning; it took him a second to react. He struggled to calm his emotions and asked, "Why?"
"Because we have already formed an alliance," Ouyang Yi's voice floated from behind him. They had appeared unexpectedly behind Ye Yu and were now aiming their guns at his team members.

"This is also a strategy. By allying with you, we can eliminate the other teams while ensuring our own safety," Ouyang Yi explained briefly before continuing, "Surrender or die; you choose."
"A dignified Mental Power star-level powerhouse would never surrender easily!" At that moment, another familiar voice echoed in the room, belonging to the team that had just been hiding.
"Peak!" Nasha exclaimed in surprise upon recognizing the man.
"So it's Sister Nasha. Congratulations on your impending elimination," Peak said, aiming his Phase Gun at Nasha and firing without hesitation.
"Thud—" Nasha was caught off guard and had no time to dodge, getting shot directly in the chest.
Ye Yu watched as Nasha was instantly eliminated and understood that their opponents were decisive in their actions. Without hesitation, Ye Yu took advantage of Ouyang Yi's momentary distraction to sidestep and evade the Phase Gun aimed at him.
At the same time, Ye Yu rolled on the ground and quickly made it outside the room. He dared not linger for a moment, crouching behind a cover and aiming his weapon at the enemies inside.
All of this happened in an instant, and Ye Yu had pushed his virtual body to its limits. The next moment, Xia Chiu and Chen Tang also reacted, seizing the opportunity to dash toward Ye Yu's direction while their opponents were distracted.
"Thud thud—" Two Laser Beams struck Xia Chiu and Chen Tang in their vital spots simultaneously, causing both of them to stumble and fall to the ground, eliminated.
Ye Yu was filled with dread; facing seven opponents alone was something even a cliché story wouldn't dare to write. Without hesitation, he turned and ran toward a collapsed building.
"Form a laser net and shoot!" At that moment, a shout rang out behind Ye Yu, and his heart sank to its lowest point.
