“How much longer do we have to wait?” Yao Guang stood under the sun, constantly wiping the sweat from his face. 0

This morning, everyone in the village had been summoned by Jun Ruo, and no one knew what she was up to. Yao Guang looked at Jun Ruo standing rigidly in front of them; although she had been there for quite some time, no one understood what she was doing. 0

“It looks like we’re waiting for someone,” Xue remarked. 0

Could it be? Were they really waiting for someone? Yao Guang felt a bit puzzled. 0

Jun Ruo was indeed waiting for someone—she was waiting for Hu Qing. 0

“They're here,” Jun Ruo suddenly said, picking up her sword and stepping forward. 0

“Hey, Head of the Family, wait for me!” Old Five reluctantly followed along. Ever since that incident, the Mute Girl had been sticking close to him; her timid nature meant she would only feel safe if she was by his side. He worried that if the Mute Girl saw he wasn’t around, she might cry out of fear. Just thinking about how she cried made Old Five want to rush back immediately; he simply couldn’t stand seeing her in tears. 0

“Let’s go take a look,” Xue urged Yao Guang to move forward as well. 0

As they approached, Yao Guang could vaguely see a figure coming from a distance. 0

Getting closer, he realized it was a solitary man. This man had an attractive appearance; beneath delicate eyebrows reminiscent of a woman’s lay captivating deep purple eyes that seemed to draw one in. The corners of his eyes were slightly upturned, adding to his alluring charm. His lips were lightly pressed together, appearing as if he were smiling without actually smiling. His skin was fairer than snow, seemingly radiating a silvery glow. He was almost more enchanting than any woman. 0

“Boss?” Old Five stepped forward and nudged the dazed Jun Ruo. “Boss, what’s wrong with you?” 0

Yao Guang curiously glanced over and saw that Jun Ruo wasn’t responding; she was staring intently at the man before her and exclaimed, “Do I know you?” 0

“I thought you were supposed to be dead!” The man raised an eyebrow and smiled at Jun Ruo. 0

Yao Guang heard this and glanced at Xue. "This person?" 0

Xue nodded, thinking the same as Yao Guang. Perhaps this person knew Jun Ruo before her death, or was even the one who killed them. 0

"What are you talking about? You must be looking for trouble!" Old Five's temper flared up again upon hearing this, and he brandished his knife, ready to confront the stranger. 0

"I asked if I know you!" Jun Ruo stopped Old Five's impulsiveness, staring intently at the person before her and repeating her question. 0

The person wore a red outfit, their alluring features striking. No, this person didn’t seem like they should look this way. But what should they look like? Jun Ruo gazed at the individual but couldn’t recall how they should appear. They should, they should… Her eyes swept over to Xue’s white attire. Yes, this person should be wearing white, not flaunting themselves like this. 0

"Ha! It really is your style to forget so easily, Xiao Junru!" The stranger suddenly erupted in anger for reasons unknown. 0

Jun Ruo was taken aback; this person actually knew her surname. Although the people from Bandit Hideout were generally friendly, her father had made it clear that their family name was not to be known by outsiders, except for close relatives. 0

Because Xiao was the surname of the former royal family! 0

"You?" Jun Ruo seemed to finally remember who this person was. 0

"Hahaha! Do you truly not remember or are you just unwilling to recall?" The stranger advanced step by step toward Jun Ruo. 0

As she watched him approach, fragments of memories began to surface from deep within her mind. No, I don’t want to remember. Those aren’t my memories; she is another person. She is not me. 0

Jun Ruo stepped back in retreat and suddenly used her lightness skill to leave the scene. 0

She left behind Xue, Yao Guang, and Old Five, who exchanged bewildered glances with one another. 0

What is happening? Are they fleeing in panic? 0

Then why are they still here? Yao Guang and Xue hurriedly left in a rush. 0

Now, only the man remained standing in place, staring at the empty surroundings. 0

"Jun Ruo, you’re still alive," the man murmured to himself. He continued to gaze at the spot where Jun Ruo had just departed, lingering there for a long time. 0

"Xue, what’s going on?" Yao Guang asked as they walked. 0

"I don’t know, but that person just now must be related to Jun Ruo. Perhaps Jun Ruo has started to remember something," Xue replied anxiously. 0

"Then will they disappear?" Yao Guang began to worry. If Jun Ruo had remembered, according to previous rules, they might just vanish. 0

"They probably will. I’m not sure about the specifics; we might have to wait until we get back to find out," Xue said. 0

"Then let’s hurry back," Yao Guang urged Xue. 0

The two rushed back, with Yao Guang feeling increasingly anxious, eager to return as quickly as possible. 0

Meanwhile, after fleeing in panic, Jun Ruo's mind was filled with thoughts of that man from earlier. 0

This man—she truly recognized him. Even though she should have never met someone like him, why did he feel so familiar? It was as if he were the man in her dreams, dressed in white! 0

But it shouldn’t be like this. Was this man really the one from her dreams? Jun Ruo felt her heart pounding wildly, her mind a chaotic mess. She couldn’t remember anything clearly, yet it felt like something was on the verge of coming back to her. 0

"Boss, wait for me!" Old Five panted as he chased after her. 0

Jun Ruo heard Old Five's voice and suddenly stopped. 0

"Hey, hey, hey, Boss, stop! You could at least give me a heads up; you almost made me crash into you!" Old Five hadn’t expected Jun Ruo to halt so abruptly and rubbed his nose where it had bumped against her shoulder. 0

Old Five continued to chatter beside Jun Ruo, but she didn’t register a single word. Her mind was elsewhere. 0

She was only thinking about how she had fled in such a panic. She should have just pretended not to know anything. How could she have run away so spinelessly without asking any questions? 0

She had clearly intended to wait for that person, Hu Qing. This was so unlike her. 0

Jun Ruo felt frustrated as Old Five rambled on, completely oblivious to her inner turmoil. 0

At that moment, Yao Guang and Xue happened to arrive. They saw Jun Ruo lost in thought while Old Five kept talking beside her. 0

"Fortunately, it seems we made it just in time," Yao Guang remarked to Xue as he observed them. 0

"Yeah," Xue nodded and walked over with Yao Guang. (To be continued.) 0
