"Third Brother, are you really going to do this?" Yicheng asked anxiously as he walked beside Yi Mo. Although he hadn't spent much time with the people of the Bandit Hideout, he felt that the atmosphere here was simple and honest, unlike the cunning nature he had encountered before. Moreover, his third brother had taken advantage of Jun Ruo, and Yicheng couldn't imagine how devastating it would be for her to learn that everything his brother was doing was aimed at capturing everyone in the Bandit Hideout. Yicheng admitted that during their time training together, he had been moved by Jun Ruo's enthusiasm and cheerfulness. To him, she was not just the leader of Black Wind Stronghold; she was a friend from Mo City. 0

"The arrow is already on the bowstring; it must be released," Yi Mo said, stepping forward with determination toward Jun Ruo. Some things were beyond his control; what he owed her in this life would have to be repaid in the next. 0

Seeing Yi Mo's resolve, Yicheng understood his brother's determination. Since that was the case, he could only support Yi Mo. Jun Ruo, I’m sorry for what’s about to happen! Yicheng sighed and followed in Yi Mo's footsteps. 0

Jun Ruo looked at her husband with joy as she walked toward him step by step. 0

"Husband," Jun Ruo called out shyly, her cheeks flushed. 0

Husband? Yi Mo felt a moment of daze upon hearing Jun Ruo call him that with such heartfelt affection. This was the first time in his life a woman had called him husband with so much love, and it would also be the last time he would hear such beautiful words. 0

Yi Mo took Jun Ruo's hand and led her to the wedding hall. 0

"Congratulations! Congratulations!" 0

The sounds of blessings filled the air. Jun Ruo's face was partially hidden by the pearl curtain of her phoenix crown, allowing her only to see the shoes passing by on the ground. As Yi Mo held her hand and moved forward slowly, Jun Ruo felt content simply being led by him, no matter where he took her. 0

"Head of the Family, you look truly beautiful today," Old Five said as he approached with the Mute Girl. The Mute Girl remained as cautious as ever, following closely behind Old Five. 0

After learning about their feelings for each other, Jun Ruo had initially planned a formal ceremony for them. However, Old Five and the Mute Girl preferred not to make a big fuss. Although Jun Ruo had printed invitations for Old Five, she knew that after her wedding concluded, she couldn't neglect the Mute Girl. Old Five had been through thick and thin with her; their bond was different from that with others. 0

As the festive music played on, Yi Mo continued to hold Jun Ruo's hand and walked deeper into the hall, unaware that outside the Bandit Hideout, a group of soldiers had stealthily infiltrated their territory under the cover of darkness. This lively scene would not last much longer. 0

The bright lights here could not illuminate the Specters lurking in the shadows. 0

By the time Jun Ruo heard the unsettling sounds, most of her brothers had already been quietly killed by the soldiers who had snuck in. 0

"What is happening?" Jun Ruo asked as she removed the phoenix crown from her head. 0

"Head of the Family, I—I..." The brother in her arms hadn't even managed to finish a single sentence before he breathed his last. Jun Ruo looked at her blood-soaked brother and then at the soldiers who had surrounded the wedding hall. 0

After a moment of furious anger, Jun Ruo's mind quickly calmed down. What was going on? How had these soldiers breached the formation she had set up outside the hideout? Only she and the members of the Bandit Hideout knew about that formation. The reason why nothing had ever happened in Black Wind Stronghold was largely due to this formation, which had always given the officials headaches. Moreover, they had never done anything to provoke harm, so the authorities had turned a blind eye. But why was this happening today? 0

Jun Ruo surveyed the numerous soldiers before her, her mind racing with thoughts. 0

"Third Prince, Fourth Prince, I am late," a general-like figure stepped out from among the soldiers and knelt in Jun Ruo's direction. 0

Third Prince? Fourth Prince? 0

Jun Ruo stiffly turned her head. Was it that person behind her? 0

She looked at Yi Mo and Yicheng. 0

The latter showed her a guilty expression, unable to meet Jun Ruo's gaze. 0

Seeing Yicheng like this made Jun Ruo's heart sink. She didn't dare look at Yi Mo; she didn't want to see a similar expression of guilt on his face. Such an expression was truly unappealing. 0

Taking a deep breath, Jun Ruo turned to Yi Mo. 0

Fortunately, Yi Mo still looked at her with that gentle smile, devoid of Yicheng's sorrowful expression. Could she take this as a sign that Yi Mo was not one of those princes they spoke of? 0

"Surround them all; leave not a single one alive." The words that slipped from her thin lips made Jun Ruo feel as if she had fallen into hell. 0

Blood splattered everywhere, and she could even hear the sound of blades striking bone. Because of her wedding, many brothers had chosen not to bring their weapons to create beautiful memories for her. They fought barehanded against those well-trained soldiers. Even though her brothers were skilled fighters, they could not compete with sharp weapons; one side was flesh and blood while the other was cold steel. 0

Figures fell one by one before Jun Ruo, who could only do her best to deal with the soldiers around her. There were simply too many of them, overwhelming Jun Ruo, especially with the cumbersome bridal gown that added considerable inconvenience to her fighting ability. 0

As she watched more and more of her fallen brothers on the ground, those children and defenseless women from the Bandit Hideout huddled together, trembling in fear beneath tables and pillars. Jun Ruo could only look on with a heavy heart. 0

“Yi Mo, I beg you, spare those children.” With the situation reaching such a critical point, Jun Ruo could only plead with Yi Mo to let the people here go for the sake of their past connection. 0

Yi Mo stood behind the protective line of soldiers, watching Jun Ruo fight desperately, still wearing that same shallow smile that sent chills down her spine. 0

“Xiao Junru, have I ever told you that my name is not Yi Mo? My name is Mo Yi.” 0

Upon hearing Yi Mo—no, Mo Yi’s words, Jun Ruo faltered in her movements. A soldier struck her with a sword, and she stifled a cry of pain while clutching her injured arm. So it was true; even the name was a lie. Mo Yi’s words were a reminder that if even their names were false, how could any bond between them be real? 0

Indeed, it was clearly a trap. How had she failed to see it? She had been foolishly hopeful. 0

Jun Ruo looked at the endless stream of enemies before her. Even if she and her brothers could not escape tonight, she would ensure that the children from the Bandit Hideout made it out safely. In that moment, Jun Ruo truly understood the feelings her grandfather must have had when he fought desperately to send his own children away. 0

Her brothers shared the same resolve: for the children, for their women. “Kill!” 0

This night was destined to be tragic. (To be continued.) 0
