Xue lowered his hands, which were casting a spell, and calmly looked up at the Dragon Lord. In stark contrast to the earlier situation, Xue asked the Dragon Lord expressionlessly, "Is there any other technique you want to use?"
Xue now understood that the Dragon Lord before him was indeed far too bored. He could have easily killed Xue with a single strike, yet he chose to toy with him instead, seeking amusement in Xue's attempts to fight back.
"Oh, you've figured it out. That makes it less fun!" the Dragon Lord replied nonchalantly. He had pretended to be trapped by the Water Dragon just for amusement. If someone realized they could defeat him, how joyful they would be! But once they experienced that joy, he would show them just how vast the gap between them truly was. Such tricks brought the Dragon Lord great delight.
"What a pity, what a pity! Since you've discovered it, let's get serious!" It was rare to find someone to play with, but this one was a bit too clever. The Dragon Lord expressed his regret at how quickly Xue had seen through his ruse.
Hearing the Dragon Lord's words ignited a surge of anger within Xue. He clenched his fists tightly. This was simply too much; he was being mocked so openly.
Seeing that Xue had uncovered his secret, the Dragon Lord immediately changed his demeanor.
Xue could sense that the Dragon Lord before him had transformed; compared to his earlier nonchalance, he now exuded the might of the dragon race.
With a flash of his golden eyes, the Dragon Lord let out a long roar. Flames erupted from behind him and poured down like a torrential rain. The fire resembled hundreds of giant dragons running wild like untamed horses, leaving trails of blue smoke in their wake. What was even more shocking was that as the fire dragons surged through the sea, the water level visibly dropped at an alarming rate.
Before long, the vast ocean in their vicinity had completely vanished, forcing the Aquatic Race that had been hiding in the depths to tremble and flee to land. However, even on land, the moisture was evaporated by those fire dragons, leaving not a single blade of grass behind. Not only that, but even the clouds in the sky were dissipated by the flames.
Xue stared in astonishment at this scene before him. Was this the power of the Dragon Lord? Was this all of his strength? Xue did not know and dared not imagine. If the Dragon Lord had yet to unleash his full power, then it seemed that all of the Four Seas would soon be completely dry.
With no water left to draw upon, Xue could no longer summon the might of the Water Dragon. With no way to retreat, he could only brace himself for a fight.
Xue did not take a step back; he simply raised his arm into the air. His arm transformed into two Golden Wheels, which represented his true form. He was known as the Wheel King, a title earned during the Demon War for his two Wheels of Reincarnation that could traverse anywhere.
Xue spun the Wheel of Reincarnation in his hand, and a series of Golden Wheels flew out from his body, heading straight into the fire dragon of the Dragon Lord. As soon as the Wheel of Reincarnation entered the fire dragon, it was met with a force that blocked its path, unable to penetrate even a step further. In the blink of an eye, all the Golden Wheels were reduced to ashes.
"Is that all you've got?" the Dragon Lord arrogantly gazed at Xue.
Seeing the scene unfold, Xue gritted his teeth.
He glanced back at Yao Guang, who was being protected not far away. Yao Guang still wore a dazed expression.
Yao Guang, I hope you won't blame me in the future! Xue silently thought to himself as he faced Yao Guang.
However, at that moment, Yao Guang didn't even spare Xue a glance. The battle between Xue and the Dragon Lord seemed nonexistent in Yao Guang's eyes.
It turned out that when Yao Guang was resolute, he could be so heartless! Even surrounded by this searing heat, Xue felt a slight moisture in his eyes.
Nevertheless, he had already made up his mind: as long as you are well in the future, Yao Guang, I will be content no matter what happens.
