Betty walked out of the desperate situation, feeling overjoyed.
She knew that this time it was the old lady who saved her, or more precisely, the almighty Heavenly Father, the beloved Father God who gave her the chance to survive.
For a long period of time, Betty spent time with this old lady learning about the word of God.
This time was different from before, Betty said that she used to simply believe, believing that there was indeed a God in heaven. She had placed a lot of hope in this angel, but the results were still very bad. It seemed that everything did not turn out as good as her father had said. This included her father's death, which also seemed to be of no help. So she had always held a skeptical attitude towards the matter of faith, until the appearance of this old lady, who made her reacquainted with the mysteries of it all.
They have no fixed abode, wherever they go is their home. Strangely, they always encounter kind people who help them. It seems that their days are much better than before. At least they are free and do not have to endure physical pain. Their suffering and fatigue come from the purification of the soul and the sanctity of thought.
Every night, the old woman tells Betty stories from the Bible. These are not stories that Betty reads on her own; it's a completely different concept from her own reading and studying.
Betty has been pursuing something she has been struggling to understand, and the philosophy of life that has always eluded her, are all here. She seems to have seen the light, and she wants to be a savior like the old woman. This time, she wants to be a real savior. She doesn't want people to live in pain, so she wants to be a preacher, a true disciple.
Betty told me that she has already experienced the darkest and most painful period of her life, and she has never feared death. Because during that time, she lived a hellish life and was already prepared to welcome the arrival of the Grim Reaper. So, Betty has always been quiet, she has shown herself to be very stable and calm, and she never expected things to take a turn.
Betty said that she had more than once wondered what kind of force had driven me to leave her. Was it to escape hardship or for a better life? Now, how am I doing? Have I achieved everything I wanted? I asked Betty if she had ever thought of coming to find me. She said she had, and that every night when she couldn't hold on, and every night when she silently cried, she had fantasized more than once about our reunion, but quickly regained her sanity.
She said, "What if I'm doing well, would there already be another woman by my side? Could I accept her? What if I'm not doing well, and I'm destitute and in poverty, wouldn't that just make things worse for both of us?" Time and time again, she gathered the courage, time and time again, she gave up on herself, until the situation she found herself in destroyed the little hope she had left. Unexpectedly, she survived the danger and began her new life.
In order to escape from the sea of suffering, and to save her own soul, Betty embarked on a path that ordinary people cannot bear! She truly began a life of wandering and drifting. She started to redeem herself, seeking a higher state of existence. She said she wanted to stay away from pain and no longer be troubled by the things of the world.
At the time, I was very puzzled. I thought she wanted to become immortal. How could a person live in this world without any worries, without various circumstances? I just couldn't seem to understand why everyone has their own life trajectory, as if it had been prepared for you from the moment you were born, waiting for you to experience it from beginning to end.
Betty said she has truly been reborn this time, no longer needing to live in this sinful world. I didn't understand her words at the time, but later, her actions and her inner beauty deeply convinced me!
