Inside the Hive, a sudden silence fell. The Flame Empress seemed to be seriously contemplating Li Hong's proposal. For a moment, Li Hong did not speak to disturb her.
"That's right, I want freedom. But can you truly give it to me? You must understand that the Umbrella Corporation's influence has spread across the globe. Not to mention, there’s also the Nightmare Deity ruling over everything. What guarantee do you have that you can provide me with the freedom I seek?"
Li Hong smiled lightly and continued, "So you're worried about those things? Let me assure you, there's no need for fear. I come from another world, and I can take you to a different place. There, there is no Umbrella Corporation and no Nightmare Deity."
"Let me think it over," the Flame Empress replied calmly.
"That's fine, but try not to take too long. After all, many Reincarnators are already outside. If you don't want to expose yourself to the Nightmare Deity, it's best to make a decision quickly," Li Hong suggested.
This was no exaggeration; there were indeed numerous Reincarnators outside, many of whom were spies sent by the Nightmare Deity. If they discovered Li Hong and the Flame Empress's conspiracy, neither would be able to escape. After all, this was the Nightmare Deity's territory!

Li Hong shook his head with a smile and explained, "No, no, I'm not that foolish. Why would I let an artificial intelligence fight against the Nightmare Deity? Besides, you wouldn't be able to do it either. What I need your help with should be quite simple for you."
"Then let's hear it."
"As the core artificial intelligence of the Umbrella Corporation, you must have many methods to enhance Zombies at your disposal, right? What I need from you is to strengthen the Zombies within the Hive and eliminate the Reincarnators outside," Li Hong said with a cold smile.
The Flame Empress paused for a moment and asked in confusion, "What are you trying to achieve by doing this? Isn't your goal to destroy Nightmare Space? What significance does attacking these Reincarnators hold for you?"
"Without the Reincarnators, this Nightmare Space would just be an empty shell; what difference does it make whether it's destroyed or not?" Li Hong explained with a smile.
What he intended to do was not particularly complicated. It involved driving away these Reincarnators through various means until this Nightmare Space became a true empty shell.
With no Reincarnators left, the threat of Nightmare Space to Main God Space would become negligible.
"Alright, I'll help you enhance these Zombies. But you have to promise me that once I accomplish this, you'll take me out of Nightmare Space!"
"Deal," Li Hong replied readily.
For him, bringing one more person or one less made no difference at all. Besides, the Flame Empress was not a living being; she was merely an artificial intelligence!
As long as they brought a carrier capable of housing the Flame Empress's consciousness, they could take her out of Nightmare Space. For Li Hong, this was hardly a challenge.
After securing the Flame Empress, the group began enhancing the Zombies within the Hive one by one.
It was necessary for the Nightmare Deity to protect these Reincarnators by downgrading the true Zombies by several levels. The Zombies inside the Hive possessed only a fraction of their original strength, reduced to incomplete and weak forms.
There were also many Virus Solutions stored by the Flame Empress within the Hive. With these, the evolution level of these Zombies would be further enhanced, evolving from version 10 to version 0.
Taking advantage of the fact that those Reincarnators outside had yet to breach the Hive's interior, Li Hong hurriedly worked on enhancing the Zombies.
Once, someone had called Zombies mindless fools; Li Hong truly wanted to bring that person over to see the line of Zombies waiting for enhancement before him!
Zombies indeed lacked their own consciousness, but in order to exert further control over them, Umbrella Corporation had implanted numerous biological chips in their brains.
These biological chips were controlled by the Flame Empress. Through these chips, Umbrella Corporation could manipulate the actions of these Zombies to achieve their desired outcomes.
Otherwise, how could uncontrolled Zombies still be considered biochemical weapons? As for Tyrants and Lickers, they didn't require biological chips. Their brain development was so advanced that they could receive commands from the Flame Empress without any assistance!
Thus, this was why Li Hong sought out the Flame Empress for discussion. She was the key to controlling the entire Hive. Without her cooperation, even if they captured these Zombies, they would be of no use.
The four of them busily began enhancing the Zombies. Meanwhile, the Flame Empress was not idle; she started using the complex mechanisms within the Hive to delay time against the Reincarnators outside.
"Alright, it's finally completely done." Patting the shoulder of the last enhanced Zombie, Li Hong said with satisfaction.
Most of the Reincarnators entering Biohazard World for training were newcomers. These newcomers simply lacked sufficient means to deal with these second-enhanced biochemical Zombies.
A wave after wave of annihilation among the Reincarnators had become something Li Hong could foresee.
The effects of the enhancements were also quite satisfying to Li Hong. Compared to the previous sluggish zombies that relied on biting and clawing for attacks, the current version 0 resembled an entirely different species.
Firstly, they no longer moved slowly; they possessed the speed of a cheetah. Additionally, they had claws like those of Wolverine, capable of easily slicing through metal. They could also spray venom up to about fifteen meters away. If a Reincarnator was splashed by this venom, their defensive gear would be corroded by it. Once infected by the venom, they would immediately turn into a zombie. Moreover, this enhancement had also boosted the jumping ability of the zombies. A regular zombie could leap high enough to reach the top of a three-story building. As for their physical strength, it was no longer an issue. If the original zombies were as fragile as paper, now they had reached a diamond-like resilience.
"Wow, Umbrella really has kept quite a few tricks up their sleeve! With this kind of technology, it's no wonder they're not afraid of Alice or other evolved beings," Li Hong marveled.
However, he found it strange that despite Umbrella Corporation having such powerful technology, they still lost to those resistance organizations in the movies.
After posing this question to Flame Empress, Li Hong received an unexpected answer.
"Because although these technologies were developed by Umbrella Corporation, the ownership does not lie with them. Even Umbrella is merely a glove. What those people defeated was less about conquering Umbrella Corporation and more about overcoming a discarded glove controlled by unseen puppeteers," Flame Empress replied coldly.
