The itinerary of the Five Sisters Group was quite abrupt. Early the next morning, before Jufeng and Tong Bailong had a chance to say goodbye to Xue, they set off with the five sisters. The arrangements made by the stars were exceptionally thoughtful, even taking care of the clothing changes for the next few days without requiring Jufeng and Tong Bailong to worry. 0

Sitting on the plane at Washing City Airport, Jufeng sent a text message to Xue before takeoff, briefly outlining his destination and making some simple arrangements. As for the school, Lu Qijia had confidently assured him the night before that she would handle everything. 0

Of course, seeing the beautiful girl confidently patting her chest made Jufeng's blood rush. 0

... 0

In the capital city of Huaguo, formerly known as Jingji, it was less than an hour's flight from Washing City. When Jufeng and Sister Five stepped out of the cabin, the sunlight felt somewhat sharp and cold. The sisters, dressed lightly, couldn't help but shiver. 0

"Wow, it's so cold!" 0

After leaving the airport and transferring to the hotel, Sister Five reluctantly sank back into warm dreams. Jufeng, who usually woke up early, decided to wander around the hotel instead. 0

News of the Five Sisters Group's performance in Beijing quickly spread throughout the city, so even though it was early in the morning, paparazzi were already swarming outside the hotel. Jufeng sat in the hotel lobby for a while, secretly amazed by the immense popularity of the Five Sisters Group. 0

The entrance was packed tightly with people. 0

However, what truly caught his attention were some individuals mingling among the paparazzi. With Jufeng's keen perception, he could sense that these people exuded a different aura from others. Judging by their gazes and strides, it was easy to guess that they were skilled experts. 0

It seemed that the security for the Five Sisters Group was quite good, Jufeng thought; this would make his job much easier. 0

Time passed quickly, and soon it was already late morning. The Five Sisters Group was scheduled to hold a brief press conference, so after resting for a bit, they all got up to freshen up and dress. Lu Qijia was efficient and straightforward; after a simple outfit change, her elegance naturally radiated. 0

She found Jufeng leisurely sitting nearby and gently tapped him on the shoulder from behind. Then she pulled at her skirt and gracefully spun around in place, smiling charmingly as she asked, "Do I look good?" 0

To be honest, Jufeng had known Lu Qijia for quite some time but had never seen her with such light makeup. Today she wore a knee-length skirt that was alluring yet dignified, truly captivating Jufeng's gaze. 0

"You look great; very beautiful." 0

Hearing Jufeng's affirmation, Lu Qijia's smile grew even brighter, and in that moment, her beauty was truly captivating. 0

"You won't blame me, will you? I hurriedly asked you to come along to protect us without even saying goodbye to your friends." 0

"How could I?" Jufeng leaned against the smooth wall, creating a bit of distance from Lu Qijia as he explained, "You sent so many bodyguards to blend in with the paparazzi; my task is quite easy." 0

"Bodyguards?" Lu Qijia looked puzzled at Jufeng's words. "No, we haven't hired anyone else besides you and Tong Bailong." 0

Lu Qijia wanted to continue explaining, but the press conference was about to start. The organizers sent someone to notify her, and she couldn't afford to delay, so she hurriedly bid farewell to Jufeng. 0

However, Lu Qijia's reaction left Jufeng somewhat confused—those scattered individuals in the crowd must have some skills. If they weren't from Sister Five's side, then who could they be... 0

As this thought crossed his mind, an ominous premonition surged within him. It seemed that this trip to the capital would not go smoothly after all. 0

Meanwhile, Jufeng was busy protecting five stunning beauties in the capital, while Xue was enjoying a leisurely time in Washing City. 0

Waking up at seven in the morning, he took a deep breath facing the rising sun. After stretching his muscles, he leisurely headed to the cafeteria for breakfast. His mood was simply delightful! 0

While eating breakfast, he took out his phone to check Jufeng's messages and learned that Romain was accompanying five beauties on their trip to the capital. Xue couldn't help but vent his frustrations at the phone screen, secretly lamenting his own misfortune. 0

Sigh, being the carefree manager is nice. Just as Now Hurricane was newly established, he ran off to enjoy himself while leaving me to handle everything. Oh heavens, what bad luck! 0

Of course, after venting his complaints, breakfast still had to be eaten—and it had to be enjoyed thoroughly. 0

After finishing the last sip of milk and putting down his cup with no grace whatsoever, Xue let out a loud burp. He had felt too stifled in the hospital and decided to indulge a little without caring about appearances. 0

Getting up with his tray in hand and heading toward the wash area, Xue was deep in thought about Hurricane's future development and didn't notice someone approaching from the side. Consequently, by sheer coincidence, the two collided hard. 0

Xue was a scholar by nature and physically weak; how could he withstand such a collision? The tray in his hands flew up suddenly as he lost his balance and fell downwards. 0

Just as Xue thought he was about to have a close encounter with the ground, a hand suddenly appeared from nowhere, wrapping around his waist. With a firm grip, Xue was lifted back to his feet. The plate that had flown into the air landed safely in the other hand of the person, and a few drops of soup that had splashed lightly returned unharmed to the grooves of the plate. 0

"Thank you," Xue said instinctively, still shaken. 0

The person smiled faintly at Xue, acknowledging him, before handing the plate back and turning to leave. Throughout the entire encounter, he had not uttered a single word. 0

Watching the figure depart, Xue felt a sense of contemplation. For some reason, from that person's brief smile, he sensed a deep sadness—a sadness that was hard to articulate. 0

Shaking his head and smiling, Xue wondered if he had become overly sensitive during his time in the hospital; after all, that person was merely a fleeting passerby. Why was he overthinking it? But then again, the person's skills were indeed impressive. 0

Brushing aside these thoughts, Xue prepared to move forward but suddenly felt something underfoot. Looking down, he realized it was a white casebook. 0

Bending down to pick up the casebook, he assumed it must have fallen when that person had acted earlier. However, when Xue looked ahead again, the person had vanished without a trace. With no choice left, Xue decided to temporarily keep the casebook and continued on his way to return his plate to the dishwashing area. 0

As he was set to be discharged in the afternoon, Xue found himself with some free time and took the opportunity to organize his clothes and food. The staff had been quite diligent in bringing things for him—each one more attentive than the last. 0

After everything was sorted out, Xue checked the time and found he still had a while to wait. Bored, he pulled out the casebook and began flipping through it. Once he started reading, he found himself deeply engrossed. 0

The first page contained a doctor's diagnosis—a few simple words that nonetheless sent chills down his spine. 0

"Stage KD-5! Alternative Treatment recommended." 0

Xue had some medical knowledge and understood what those words meant. Essentially, the owner of this casebook was suffering from complete renal failure; apart from dialysis and kidney transplant options, there were no other treatments available. 0

However, dialysis was prohibitively expensive and required frequent sessions. If one were to undergo lifelong dialysis, it would mean being unable to pursue any other work—forever burdened by dialysis. As for kidney transplants, they were exorbitantly priced; an ordinary family could only wait helplessly for their fate. 0

Still reeling from this shock, Xue turned to the next page and saw it filled with haphazardly written notes that reflected the writer's turmoil. Yet amidst the chaos, several lines were legible. After reading them carefully, Xue's heart was once again struck with astonishment! 0

"Double Ten Years, One Frosty Autumn; how much sorrow can this bring? Boundless thoughts of rivers and mountains linger; only sadness reaches my heart." 0

Xue did not dare to claim that this poem showcased the full extent of the man's talent, but he felt a deep resonance with the sentiments of unfulfilled ambitions and a troubled fate expressed within it. Hadn't his own twenty years been fraught with misfortune? He had always dreamed of achieving something great, yet before meeting Jufeng, hadn't he been merely drifting through life? He had faced exclusion and humiliation, feeling utterly helpless at times. 0

But wasn't that man’s situation even more tragic? At just twenty years old, he was afflicted with such a dire illness. The expression on his face clearly reflected a despair about life; surely he could not afford treatment. How many could endure such a calamity in life? 0

In the past, Xue might have only offered a token of sympathy, feeling powerless to help. But now, it seemed this was not an insurmountable crisis! 0

Having encountered a kindred spirit, he decided to be a good person who extends compassion. 0

Xue was a man of action; he immediately used the information on the medical card to call the man. 0

“Hello, is this Wenming?” 0
