In recent years, Jufeng had faced more life-and-death moments than he cared to count. In previous encounters, he had either relied on his own strength or the desperate protection of his brothers, ultimately breaking through perilous situations into a glimmer of hope. However, none had been as deep a fall or as unexpected a leap as this one. 0

Romain extended his hand, and Liu Gulang hesitated for a moment before understanding and mirroring the gesture. Their palms met in mid-air, creating a sense of camaraderie akin to that of heads of state. 0

After releasing their grip, the self-proclaimed lone wolf glanced toward the distant sky, where a faint rumble echoed. He knew it was the Azure Dragon Monk's Special Operations Team, known for their formidable combat power. At that moment, he dared not take any chances. Aware of the situation, he planned for their group to pilot their mechs and escape first; a spaceship awaited them in space. 0

Yet Romain did not immediately flee this treacherous place. After their earlier life-and-death struggle, he had not considered much; now, however, his worries resurfaced. 0

"I have a pair of familiar siblings in that village over there. If I leave like this, they will surely bear the wrath of the Azure Dragon Monk. Since you are willing to save me, please help me rescue them as well—Lu Hongyu and Lu Qijia. I will hold them here; we can meet up in space half an hour later." 0

The lone wolf fell silent for a moment, troubled. "The Azure Dragon Monk's Special Operations Team is very powerful. Once they latch on to you, it will be difficult to escape." 0

Romain hesitated as well; clearly, neither wanted to linger near death's door any longer than necessary. However, after much deliberation, he revealed a determined expression. 0

Seeing this resolve, the lone wolf weighed his options internally and spoke gravely to the man beside him. "You accompany that brother to rescue them. Once you have them, return to the ship immediately and prepare for our pickup near the planet's surface." 0

The effectiveness of a team often reveals itself through its ability to follow orders. The man understood the significant risks involved in his leader's decision but hesitated only briefly before agreeing. Romain observed this exchange with a sense of clarity; he signaled Bill, who pondered for a moment before accepting the task. 0

Two mechs surged away rapidly, quickly vanishing into the thick night. Meanwhile, from another direction, the rumbling sounds grew increasingly clear. 0

Romain turned his gaze back to the lone wolf's slightly limping leg. The lone wolf smiled brightly and said casually, "It's nothing." 0

Romain said no more; cradling the delicate girl with skin like jade, he moved toward another mech. Soon both were ready aboard their machines when a massive shadowy figure appeared on the horizon. 0

A battle between Iron Giants towering over three meters was about to commence! 0

Through the mech's communication system, Romain heard a voice in his ear. 0

"I'll engage in close combat while you provide artillery support from your position. Protect yourself at all costs; that's an order!" 0

Before the voice could finish, he saw the nearby mech transform into a streak of light and charge forward. Starlight cascaded over its metallic surface as it plunged into an ocean of mechs. 0

The lone wolf had just felt joy at his brother's ability to follow orders when he was suddenly struck by the consequences of such rigid rules. Yet reality offered him little time for reflection; he needed to focus entirely on fulfilling his role as a long-range turret. 0

All for that fleeting moment—a single rider racing ahead! 0

On the night of the Pirate Planet, a serene stillness usually enveloped the surroundings. Although the bright moon was absent, the dazzling Starry Battle shone even more brilliantly. However, tonight seemed different; a cacophony of sounds filled the air, disturbing many residents in their homes and robbing them of restful sleep. 0

Curious individuals stepped out of their rooms, peering into the distance to locate the source of the noise. Unfortunately, the sounds fluctuated in volume, making it difficult to discern their origin, and they were too far away to make out any details. Many strained their eyes, but none could uncover the truth. 0

The Lu Siblings were not ones to seek trouble, yet as more people ventured outside, the distant noise became overshadowed by closer commotion. Unable to sleep in bed any longer, Lu Hongyu and Lu Qijia decided to join the gathering. To their surprise, nearly everyone in the nearby houses had emerged, forming small clusters as they speculated about what was happening that night. 0

"Are monks conducting military drills?" one person joked. 0

"Get real! Who holds military drills at this hour? Those monks are so stingy they wouldn't even spare money for ammunition. I bet it’s some monk's favorite who has gone rogue," another replied. 0

"Rogue? Who would dare do that? What could possibly provoke such a thing?" 0

"Who knows? Haven't you heard? Everyone's saying that the monk's Fourth Concubine is involved with a tough member of a Special Operations Team. Maybe this is all for love!" 0

"I think it’s more likely that the monk just found out he’s wearing a green hat. Look at this chaos; he must be furious!" 0

Laughter erupted among them. 0

As everyone chattered away, Lu Hongyu furrowed his brow slightly. His sister, Lu Qijia, glanced around and suddenly noticed that the house next door was eerily quiet, her face lighting up with delight. 0

"Brother, look! There are people even more composed than us. Despite all this noise outside, they haven’t come out to join us. Truly remarkable!" 0

The siblings had a good impression of Jufeng —friendly, sunny, and humble—unlike many young people today who spoke endlessly about ideals and life while lacking substance. Jufeng exuded an aura of both charm and depth. Hearing his sister praise their neighbor made Lu Hongyu turn his gaze toward Romain's home. Indeed, everyone else had come out except for Jufeng's family. 0

Seeing his sister’s innocent demeanor eased Lu Hongyu's tension momentarily. However, just as quickly, his instincts as a soldier kicked in, and he suddenly sensed something was amiss; his expression turned serious. 0

Noticing her brother's sudden solemnity, Lu Qijia felt her heart race as well. Lu Hongyu approached Jufeng's door and knocked discreetly before whispering, "Is Wind there? This is Brother Lu from next door." 0

One minute passed; no answer came. Two minutes passed; still no response. Five minutes later, silence lingered. 0

Lu Hongyu abandoned his attempt to knock; he could confirm that no one was inside. It was now well past midnight—where could two men possibly take a girl? The raucous noise nearby gradually faded into a rhythmic rumble. Everyone fell silent as they recognized that sound—it was the unmistakable noise of a Special Operations Team deploying their mechs. 0

The rumbling sound echoed in their ears, and Lu Qijia's face was filled with anxiety. Lu Hongyu's eyes, however, had already lost their sparkle. He knew that this time it was truly over; the events of the night were undoubtedly related to Jufeng, and it was not good news. They were likely trapped in a dire situation, and how could the Azure Dragon Monk let them off the hook, especially with a beautiful sister like hers? 0

“Little sister, this time I’ve brought you trouble.” 0

Upon hearing this, Lu Qijia suddenly burst into tears. She hugged her brother tightly and comforted him, “Don’t blame yourself, brother. You have always protected me. If I can die alongside you, I’m not afraid.” 0

People around them began to notice the unusual behavior of the Lu siblings, but they couldn’t connect it to the commotion nearby. Just as everyone exchanged puzzled glances while the siblings wept in each other's arms, two massive figures suddenly appeared in the night—fearsome Iron Giants, mechs. The mechs approached and stopped at the entrance of a nearby makeshift building. 0

Someone jumped down from one of the mechs, and a familiar voice rang out, warm and inviting. 0

“Brother Lu, Brother Jufeng sent me to bring you both.” 0
