In a certain part of the vast starry sky, at the intersection of two Star Systems, two spacecraft hovered closely together. Further away, three Assault Ships lay in wait, constantly monitoring the movements of the two vessels. Should any danger arise, their firepower would rain down without hesitation.
The two spacecraft floated parallel to each other, connected by a corridor tall enough for two people to walk side by side, known as the ship's side.
Inside Bill's spacecraft, dozens of armed Cosmic Police were on high alert, scanning for suspicious area-of-effect weapons. One officer, resembling a military figure, accepted a cigarette from Bill and began discussing the situation in the Large Magellanic Cloud with Jufeng.
“Lieutenant Ju, you wouldn’t believe it—the Large Magellanic Cloud is in a state of panic. A group of terrorists appeared out of nowhere and captured a military planet in just two hours. They’ve been continuously harassing the Administrative Star, causing casualties that have already exceeded six figures.”
Smoke swirled around the officer's mouth as he spoke, and at the end of his statement, he raised one hand to indicate six, clearly haunted by the shadow these terrorists had cast.
The officer was of Chinese descent, so when Jufeng displayed his Second Lieutenant rank, the officer's attitude shifted dramatically from arrogant to warm and friendly, as if they were family.
Jufeng nodded, adopting an equally indignant expression. The two exchanged stories about their hometown and the outside world. Once the Cosmic Police completed their inspection and reported no issues, Jufeng had Bill prepare a roll of fine cigarettes and warmly handed it over before waving goodbye to his distant friend.
With Jufeng’s paperwork in order, their inspection proceeded swiftly. After seeing the spacecraft and the three Assault Ships depart from the cockpit, Jufeng ordered Bill to set sail.
“Brother Jufeng, do you think these terrorists will affect us?”
Jufeng pondered for a moment before replying, “If they are just ordinary terrorists, they shouldn’t pose a threat to us. However, this ambush seems suspicious—how could they take down a military base so easily? Heh… but it’s no longer our concern; let’s head to the Large Magellanic Cloud.”
The Large Magellanic Cloud has four main Administrative Stars and dozens more for various purposes. In the vastness of Interstellar Space, capturing or eliminating terrorists is indeed a daunting task.
But as Jufeng said, it’s not our problem; there are always others who will care more than we do.
After undergoing inspections for about an hour, the spacecraft made a spatial jump and arrived at the Large Magellanic Cloud. After several days of travel, they finally reached Magellanic Star. However, this journey had not been smooth; they faced over ten different inspections—stricter than those during the Cosmos Olympics. Only by experiencing it firsthand could one understand the anxiety that comes with being shrouded by the threat of terrorists.
Upon arriving at Magellanic Star, the spacecraft docked at one of its satellites where Guo Hua and Liu Gulang had been waiting for some time after receiving news of their arrival.
A group emerged from the ship; Guo Hua and Liu Gulang approached Jufeng to pay their respects. A round of polite exchanges was inevitable.
Liu's wife stood nearby respectfully but her anxious gaze kept darting past Jufeng to look behind him. Jufeng noticed this and thought about how parents must feel in such situations.
“Sister Liu, it’s been a while since we last met; you’ve become even more charming and graceful.”
The phrase carried a hint of ambiguity, but in this context, no one would find it inappropriate, especially the Liu couple, who were blocked by Jufeng from their lively escapades.
"Thanks to you, our lives are now stable," Liu's Wife said, a bit embarrassed.
This statement expressed gratitude; if it weren't for Jufeng, they would still be pirates, living a drifting life like floating weeds.
Jufeng chuckled and turned to call out Liu Xing.
"Star, come meet your parents."
Upon hearing this, Liu Xing stepped out from the crowd. He was clad in a blue shirt and cloth shoes, his appearance little changed since he left, except that he had grown taller and his gaze was deeper.
After all, he was still a child who had never left his parents. Even though Liu Xing tried to suppress his emotions, when he saw his mother with tears in her eyes, he couldn't hold back anymore and rushed into her embrace.
Liu Gulang was equally emotional but better at controlling it. He teasingly scolded his wife, "Why are you crying? It's as if our son has suffered some great injustice. Brother Jufeng, please don't mind; my wife is just like that."
Jufeng smiled and patted Liu Gulang on the shoulder, shaking his head. "It's alright; it's natural for a mother to feel this way. By the way, I need to inform you that I have recognized Star as my godson."
Liu Gulang was taken aback for a moment before his eyes filled with tears. "Thank you for your kindness, Brother Jufeng. I truly don't know what to say."
Jufeng patted Liu Gulang's shoulder again. "Then don't say anything at all. Let's go home."
So the group boarded the spacecraft once more. This time it was a shuttle designed for travel between planets and their moons, with fixed routes—an expansion of interstellar transport.
Onboard the shuttle, Jufeng introduced everyone around him to Liu Gulang and Guo Hua. Lu Qijia, as Feng's sister-in-law, naturally received special treatment.
At the same time, Jufeng inquired about Zongheng Express's progress on Magellanic Star. Overall, things were going well; thanks to Huankezhao's support, it had become a medium-sized enterprise with various thriving branches. Thus, Jufeng introduced Claudia to Guo Hua so she could take charge of matters related to the entertainment company. With Sister Five's charisma, she would surely make a splash on Magellanic Star.
It is worth mentioning that Liu Gulang had also made significant contributions on Magellanic Star. Initially, Jufeng intended for him to protect Guo Hua since business and the underworld were intricately linked. Liu Gulang did not disappoint Jufeng in this regard; this man nicknamed "Lone Wolf" had established a sizable underground gang on Magellanic Star and managed several leisure venues under Zongheng Express.
Magellanic Star had no nation; in fact, the entire Outer Space was largely managed by the United Nations. Therefore, establishing gangs came naturally; people sought kindred spirits, and in Outer Space, similar skin tones and faces provided the greatest sense of affinity.
After settling everyone in for a rest, Jufeng and Liu Gulang sought to understand the situation in more detail.
"By the way, how are the Lu Siblings? Are they still around?"
Liu Gulang replied, "They only stayed here for a few days before heading to another planet, and we haven't heard from them since. However, our company address hasn't changed, so they know where to find us if they want to come back."
Jufeng nodded. He indeed had some fond memories of the Lu Siblings; it was rare to encounter someone from such a genuine military family background.
As he reminisced, Jufeng brought up the topic of the Terrorist. He didn't want to discuss it, but even Liu Gulang's expression turned particularly grave.
"This matter is indeed not simple."
