The old saying "Swift Blade Cuts Through Chaos" holds true; in the midst of battle, speed is the only way to claim lives.
Shi Jin stared blankly at Jufeng in the distance. Observing his calm demeanor, he found himself at a loss for words—no rebuttals, no sighs, nothing unnecessary came to mind. Perhaps it was too unexpected, or perhaps he was too gravely injured to speak. In any case, he quietly collapsed into the arms of his brothers from the United Heart Association, murmuring as he gazed at the night sky. Soon after, he slowly closed his eyes.
No matter how much his brothers from the United Heart Association shouted or shook him, he could not open his eyes again.
The Nine Dragons on his chest no longer rose and fell; now, it seemed there was little difference between him and an insect.
What did it matter whether he was a dragon or an insect? For a dead man, it was all in vain.
Indeed, just five minutes into the battle, Shi Jin had honorably sacrificed himself for the United Heart Association.
Around Shi Jin, several brothers from the United Heart Association were closest to him. Upon witnessing this, their eyes turned red with fury. They gently laid Shi Jin's body on the ground and drew their Steel Blades, charging furiously toward Jufeng.
Their anger blazed fiercely, closing in on Jufeng.
Yet Jufeng remained utterly unmoved.
From behind Jufeng emerged a figure, appearing as if a towering mountain had risen from the ground. It was as if the Taihang and Wangwu Mountains had been relocated here—massive and imposing, making it impossible for the Steel Blade to penetrate even a fraction.
“Bang!”
“Bang bang!”
“Bang bang bang…”
The members of the United Heart Association charged forward swiftly, but they retreated even faster. Faced with the hurricane-like warrior, they found themselves without any chance to retaliate.
Tong Bailong did not strike with lethal force; this was a lesson learned from countless past battles by the simple-minded giant. With the enemy leader already dead, striking down his subordinates would only provoke them further without instilling fear—it would have the opposite effect.
After the members of the United Heart Association were sent flying, they rolled on the ground, howling in pain. The agony they felt physically could not overcome the fury in their hearts, and thus, their anger was suddenly extinguished.
Not only did the United Heart Association have mountains, but so did the hurricane.
Jufeng calmly stepped forward from beside Tong Bailong and approached the crowd of the United Heart Association. They instinctively took a step back, watching Jufeng and the mountain beside him with extreme caution.
The leaders of the United Heart Association had all fallen to the ground; some were unconscious, while others had already departed from this world. Without a leader, they exchanged glances, momentarily at a loss for what to do.
Jufeng showed no hint of disdain; perhaps if the hurricane faced a similar situation, the outcome would not be much better. Of course, he would not show even a trace of sympathy—victors and vanquished were simply that.
He merely stated a fact calmly.
"Now that Shi Jin is dead and your leaders have followed suit, none of you can stop us. It is sad, but we must admit that this is the gap in strength."
"Do not think about being heroes because you lack the strength to be heroes. If someone with ambition were to return and strive for a few years, perhaps there might still be a glimmer of hope. But certainly not now."
"I mean no offense; I simply do not wish to waste my time on you. So I will leave; please step aside."
"Please step aside." There was no politeness in his tone, almost unbearable for many members of the United Heart Association who gripped their Steel Blades tightly, their hands trembling—a sign of anger. However, after a moment, no one dared to voice a rebuttal.
For although Jufeng's words were harsh and stabbed countless times at their pride, they were an undeniable and stark reality.
It was a fact and also reality. Reality was an irrefutable present.
Jufeng took a step forward, followed by Tong Bailong taking another step. The Azure Wind Antelope followed behind them in succession as they slowly moved toward the crowd.
With each step Jufeng took forward, the members of the United Heart Association retreated a step back. By the time Jufeng reached the center of the crowd, they had already cleared a path for him.
Jufeng looked down at Shi Jin lying at his feet, remaining silent for a while before gradually turning to leave.
In the end, the group disappeared from the sight of the United Heart Association.
However, the United Heart Association did not come away empty-handed. At least those dozens of cars could be considered a significant fortune.
Yet, compared to the fall of a legendary warrior, such gains were hardly comparable.
After Jufeng and his group had walked some distance, they encountered Xue Yi and his companions rushing towards them. Upon learning that the United Heart Association had not been deceived, they hurried over.
Zhu Mao saw that Jufeng was unharmed and felt a bit relieved. However, he immediately apologized to Jufeng, knowing that this plan must have originated from him, and he hadn’t expected that their opponents would not fall for it.
Jufeng patted Zhu Mao on the shoulder and reassured him, "It's not your fault. Without your idea this time, I wouldn't have been able to kill Shi Jin."
The members of the Hurricane team were astonished to hear this; they hadn’t expected that Jufeng could eliminate Han Fan’s right-hand man even in such a disadvantageous position.
Suddenly, Jufeng turned to Tong Bailong beside him and asked, "Tong Bailong, how do you think you compare to Shi Jin?"
Tong Bailong was not a particularly scheming person; he tended to consider a question at face value. After a moment of thought, he replied, "I think we're about the same; mainly, his brain is a bit more useful than mine."
Jufeng couldn't help but burst into laughter upon hearing this. However, for some reason, he suddenly started coughing.
The Hurricane team was taken aback by this. Jufeng waved his hand to indicate he was fine and after a moment said, "Tong Bailong, his brain is certainly not better than yours."
The group paused for a moment in surprise but then exchanged glances and burst into laughter.
Once the laughter subsided, Xue suddenly had an idea and suggested, "Brother Jufeng, since you just killed their War God, why don’t we have a hard fight tonight? We have a significant advantage in momentum."
Jufeng looked at Xue, revealing a smile that only the two of them could truly understand. They were such close friends that they could read each other's thoughts with just a glance.
Thus, Xue led the main force toward Shi Jin's stronghold.
When Xue met Jufeng, Han Fan had already arrived at Shi Jin's location. Upon learning that Shi Jin had vanished, he unexpectedly burst into tears, though he did not do so in front of everyone; after all, it would be too demoralizing.
He knew better than anyone that the combat strength of the United Heart Association could only be considered average in the current Underworld of Huaguo. If it weren't for the substantial financial support from the prosperous Jiangnan region, the United Heart Association would not be able to stand alongside the Unification Alliance and Hua Gang as part of the Three Factions. Now, with their strongest forces already diminished at the hands of the enemy, this posed a significant disadvantage for future developments.
However, before his sorrow could fully take hold, Xue and his team arrived. As soon as the two sides clashed, a fierce battle ensued, but the outcome was different from before.
The morale of the United Heart Association was low, while Hurricane's spirit soared high. The difference between these two states was anything but trivial, leading to the United Heart Association's defeat and Hurricane's Great Victory.
The stalemate that had persisted for days was finally broken.
