Lu Hongyu, a name long forgotten, reemerged on the page, stirring a sense of bewilderment in Tian Feng and Wen Yun.
This was a name from many years ago, yet Tian Feng and Wen Yun were unaware of its significance, and few knew it at all. The likes of Pirate Planet and Azure Dragon Monk had faded into obscurity, leaving only Liu Gulang and a handful of others as witnesses to those bygone days.
The passage of time had indeed transformed the world, but memories remained.
Lu Hongyu observed the bewildered expressions on Tian Feng and Wen Yun's faces without concern. Instead, he urged anxiously, "We should leave here quickly; Cao Ke is back."
Tian Feng paused in surprise, realizing that Cao Ke had returned sooner than expected. Even Wen Yun's face paled slightly at the thought of her brother, who instilled fear in Cao Shuang and was one of the few people she truly respected.
Tian Feng nodded, quickly tending to the wound on his leg before hoisting Wen Yun onto his back once more.
He led the way while Lu Hongyu concealed his sniper rifle in the shadows and switched to a handgun, keeping watch behind Tian Feng.
Just as they stepped out, a figure emerged from within the wall—it was Cao Ke, just as Lu Hongyu had mentioned.
After Light's death, a slightly younger middle-aged man approached Cao Ke and recounted the recent events, including the deaths of Cao Shuang and Light.
Upon hearing this, Cao Ke felt the weight of despair he had just brought back from Huankezhao intensify. Clearly, the two individuals who appeared were not part of the information known to him or Shangguan Wangyu. The unexpected nature of these events only added to his displeasure.
Throughout it all, Cao Ke remained silent and contemplative; even the death of his half-brother failed to stir any emotion within him.

Tian Feng and Jufeng had previously agreed on a rendezvous point after rescuing Wen Yun. Just as Jiang Xue finished expressing her concern for Wen Yun, the damp and dark door creaked open once more.
It was Lu Hongyu who pushed the door open, followed by Tian Feng carrying Wen Yun on his back.
Jiang Xue saw Wen Yun's pale face and disheveled hair behind her, and immediately rushed over to help her.
Wen Yun's gaze fell on Tian Feng, who was carrying her. Just moments ago, Jufeng had not had the chance to rescue Wen Yun, but now seeing Tian Feng, he suddenly understood.
Back in Washing City, Jufeng and Tian Feng were familiar with each other, but eight years had passed, and both had changed in different ways.
As Jufeng looked at Tian Feng, the latter also turned to him, smiling and nodding in greeting, still filled with the same respect as before.
Jufeng had already met Tian Feng previously, so he merely smiled and did not express further gratitude. However, upon seeing Lu Hongyu appear behind them, he couldn't help but be utterly shocked.
It had been over eight years since they last met, yet Lu Hongyu still exuded the same impressive aura. His stature remained tall and upright, and his face was even more chiseled than before.
"Brother Lu!" Jufeng exclaimed in surprise.
Seeing Jufeng, Lu Hongyu's expression was equally excited. After many years apart, Jufeng seemed hardly changed at all.
"Brother Jufeng! It has truly been a long time. My sister and I have missed you greatly!"
The conversation between Jufeng and Lu Hongyu drew everyone's attention, especially Tian Feng, who was astonished. "Brother Jufeng, didn't you send Lu to come rescue me?"
Jufeng shook his head and then turned his gaze toward Lu Hongyu.
Lu Hongyu then recounted how he had arrived there and the events that led him to rescue Tian Feng.
The origin of this matter traced back to Chen Tan Hua.
Chen Tan Hua had been sent by Jufeng to seek help from the Universal Police. When Chen Tan Hua hurriedly arrived at the border, it just so happened that Lu Hongyu was the one receiving him. Upon hearing the name Jufeng, Lu Hongyu immediately thought of his benefactor from many years ago. After some inquiries, he ultimately confirmed that this Jufeng was indeed the same Jufeng from Pirate Star.
So, he sent his subordinate to accompany Chen Tan Hua to seek help at the headquarters of the Universal Police, while he himself hurried day and night to arrive here.
From Chen Tan Hua's brief words, he only knew that Jufeng was coming to attend Huankezhao's banquet, but he could not enter. Instead, he wandered around outside, waiting for an opportunity.
Finally, he spotted a familiar face—Cao Ke. As a soldier, few people were unaware of who Cao Ke was. When Lu Hongyu saw Cao Ke leaving in a hurry, he knew something urgent must have happened. So, he followed Cao Ke all the way to the estate.
On the outskirts of the estate, he used tools to climb over the high wall and then saw Tian Feng fighting against Light.
Light was on the side of the black-clad men, while Tian Feng and Wen Yun were at a disadvantage. Coupled with Chen Tan Hua's description, it was clear what was happening. Thus, Lu Hongyu opened fire to assist Tian Feng, leading to the subsequent events.
Jufeng looked at Lu Hongyu's heavy dark circles and felt deeply moved; the friendship from years ago was still remembered. This was what true friendship meant.
Quickly catching the details in Lu Hongyu's words, Jufeng asked, "Brother Lu, are you working in the Universal Police now?"
Hearing this, Lu Hongyu couldn't help but laugh heartily and then recounted his experiences over the years with his sister Lu Qijia.
After leaving Pirate Star, they accompanied Liu Gulang to Magellanic Star. After a period of peaceful living, they moved to a secondary-level planet and began their life as siblings.
Lu Hongyu worked at a large security company doing training related to firearms, mechas, and various military-related matters; it was quite fulfilling. Meanwhile, Lu Qijia took up teaching—not just any teaching but at a center for children with disabilities, where she worked for five or six years.
Then the incident involving Huankezhao and the Universal Police erupted. During a conscription by the Universal Police, Lu Hongyu's dream of being a soldier still lingered in his heart, so he enlisted.
Having been engaged in military-related work over the years, his military skills had not diminished at all. Through diligence and effort, his proficiency in operating mechas reached an upper Azure Level and firmly stood at the threshold of Crimson Rank, waiting for the right moment to leap over the dragon gate.
With his exceptional military talent, he quickly rose through the ranks in the Universal Police. Nearly two years had passed, and he was now a squad leader in the Universal Ironclad Brigade and part of a special operations team.
This time he was dispatched to the border for a special mission and happened to encounter Chen Tan Hua. Thanks to his appearance, Tian Feng was able to escape more easily.
Jufeng had saved a pair of siblings many years ago, not because he had foreseen the events of today, but rather because he had unknowingly laid the groundwork for them. It was a testament to the saying that good deeds are rewarded.
The time had not yet come; it truly had not. This was neither a deception nor a jest, but rather a test of one's patience.
Thus, one must be patient.
After some idle chatter, it was time to leave. With a command from Jufeng, everyone began their journey to escape the Magellanic Star.
However, outside, the Web of Protection had already been set up. It was not only the network laid by Shangguan Wangyu in advance but also the temporary reinforcements brought in by Cao Ke in a fit of rage.
This journey was perilous, yet it would not stretch on indefinitely.
