The office door of Pand Zhong stood as one of the foremost symbols of security and authority throughout the Cosmos and the Magellan Star System. Yet today, it was kicked open, leaving Pand Zhong seething with anger. 0

He saw a young man in dark green military attire standing in the doorway. Previously, during the Demonstration, he had caught a distant glimpse of him, but now, up close, he realized just how insufferable this face was. 0

"Young man, didn’t your parents teach you that you should knock before entering someone else's room?" 0

Pand Zhong did not hide his displeasure; his voice was sharp as a knife. 0

Jufeng smiled lightly, revealing a seemingly harmless grin. 0

His gaze swept across the room until it landed on the sofa. He walked over and sat down, then looked up at Pand Zhong. 0

In a certain sense, "young man" was a derogatory term, often used by self-important middle-aged individuals who looked down on others. 0

Jufeng truly despised those who lacked respect yet acted as if they were wise mentors, patting themselves on the back while lecturing others. Unfortunately, Pand Zhong seemed to fit that description. 0

Both men found each other distasteful, setting the stage for this confrontation. 0

"My mother died early, and my father hardly cares for me. So to you, I’m just an ill-mannered young man. Please don’t stoop to my level. If something unpleasant happens today, I hope you can overlook it and let it slide." 0

Jufeng continued to smile, though his eyes began to narrow slightly, his gaze becoming more focused. 0

Upon hearing Jufeng's words, Pand Zhong tapped his fingers on the table. His eyes, filled with wrinkles around the edges yet bright in the center, seemed capable of piercing through worldly matters. 0

People often described Pand Zhong as straightforward like a soldier; only a few truly understood that this showiness was merely a facade for his profound cunning. 0

His subordinates watched as the two exchanged barbs and couldn’t help but feel a mix of admiration and sympathy for Jufeng. 0

Over the past several years on Pand Zhong's rise to power, enemies were inevitable. Yet those adversaries all met their downfall without exception. In their eyes, Jufeng would be no different. 0

As they awaited Pand Zhong's response, they anticipated Jufeng's demise. 0

"What a silver tongue you have! Too bad soldiers don’t fight with words. Did you come here hoping I would think you brave? If that’s your intention, then I regret to inform you that I find you childish—no different from those Meng Lang who become frantic after facing minor setbacks." 0

"I am very curious about your purpose for coming here today and what kind of outcome you desire. Have you thought about how to bear the consequences of a half-hearted conclusion?" 0

Pand Zhong snorted coldly as the more than ten bodyguards at the door turned to close it, leaving the space for Jufeng. 0

"I am here for no other reason than to seek justice for my deceased brothers." 0

Jufeng spoke with seriousness, but Pand Zhong found it quite amusing. 0

"Every day, there are Cosmic Police who die while on duty. Moreover, we are in chaotic times; the casualties in a single battle can number in the tens of thousands. Your Dragon Breaker Army has only lost a couple of dozen. What right do you have to demand justice from me? Death is simply a result of their lack of skill and strength. You can leave now." 0

Pand Zhong felt that Jufeng was being presumptuous, so he couldn't help but curse. Given his seniority and position as Commander, such words could be deemed inappropriate, but they posed no real problem. 0

However, Jufeng was not pleased at all. 0

What do you mean, death is simply a result of their lack of skill? Jufeng's serious expression turned somewhat cold; his fingers intertwined, and the veins on his arms began to bulge slightly. 0

"Pan Commander, let's be clear; if you have the guts to stab someone in the back, why don't you have the courage to admit it? Here, it's just you and me. Don't you think those lives are worth something in your eyes?" 0

Pand Zhong observed Jufeng's emotions shifting towards anger and snorted again, thinking that he was just a reckless young man who had exposed his true nature after only a few sentences. 0

However, an elder would rather keep his thoughts bottled up than let them out, even if everyone knew the truth. 0

"You don't need to give me this speech; their deaths have nothing to do with me. As for your second question, I can answer clearly: in my eyes, all sacrifices for the Universal Undertaking are worthwhile." 0

"Hah!" Jufeng couldn't help but sneer. What a Universal Undertaking! Wasn't it just your selfish ambition to seize power? 0

After sneering, Jufeng nodded repeatedly and said, "Good, good, good!" The temperature in the room suddenly seemed to drop significantly. 0

"Since Pan Commander refuses to admit it, that's fine. As long as I know and you know, and the deceased brothers and those watching me know, that is enough. Regardless of what you think, I must do something today. Surely you wouldn't stoop to visit their graves for a memorial?" 0

Pand Zhong also sneered and looked down disdainfully. "Dream on. I find it quite amusing that outsiders see you as someone with some depth, yet in my eyes, you're worthless! Hmph! What do you want to do? Kill me in my office?" 0

Pand Zhong felt increasingly displeased with Jufeng, to the point where he had no desire to continue the conversation. He was preparing to call back his bodyguards and have Jufeng escorted out when, unexpectedly, Jufeng stood up on his own. 0

“Commander Pan, you truly disappoint me. I once dared to speak my mind and act boldly in front of the Dragon Elder. Now, what do I have to fear from an old fool like you? Just those two useless men in your office and the pests outside?” 0

Pand Zhong was furious at these words, slamming his hand on the table and pointing at Jufeng, momentarily speechless. The other officers in the room glared at Jufeng as well. They had initially admired his manly spirit and military demeanor, but now that they were caught in the crossfire, any lingering goodwill towards him had vanished. 0

Jufeng ignored them and walked from the sofa toward Pand Zhong's desk, casually removing his military uniform until only a tight-fitting tank top remained, accentuating his perfect physique. 0

Pand Zhong observed Jufeng's calm expression and realized he was not dealing with a furious Meng Lang. A sense of foreboding suddenly flashed through his mind. 0

“What… what are you going to do? Stop right there! You… ah!!!” 0
