Negotiation has never been an easy task, especially when it involves a woman.
Pan An had never thought that accomplishing something could be effortless. He always poured all his thoughts into a single endeavor, no matter how trivial it might be. However, today’s matter was proving to be quite a headache for him.
Disliking procrastination, Pan An borrowed the conference room of the Hurricane Army and spent a long time contemplating before asking Politeness to bring Xiao Ji in.
The door opened to reveal a burly man with slightly bruised eyes. Behind him stood Xiao Ji, dressed in tight military attire.
Pan An stared at Xiao Ji, momentarily taken aback—not because of her beauty, as that was well-known throughout the Cosmos—but because she seemed completely unrestrained.
The Hurricane Army truly had guts.
The burly man shot a resentful glance at Xiao Ji and coldly commanded, “Come in!” She glanced back at him, causing him to flee in embarrassment.
“It’s clear that the Hurricane Army treats you well, but is this how you repay them?”
It was evident that the soldier from the Hurricane Army harbored both hatred and fear towards Xiao Ji, likely due to the injuries on his face that she had inflicted.
“I’ve heard for a long time that the Demoness is quite skilled; today I finally get to witness it firsthand.”
Before Xiao Ji could speak, Pan An continued with two sentences. She looked at him with disdain, her eyes filled with… emotions typically reserved for viewing the weak.
“Did they send you here as part of some beauty trap?”
Xiao Ji took her seat and looked at Pan An, teasingly speaking before bursting into laughter, her mirth unrestrained.
A woman, captured yet still able to laugh heartily. In any era, she would be considered a heroine.
However, as Pan An listened to her laughter, he felt utterly helpless.
It seemed that without establishing the tone for their conversation, this matter could not be resolved.
Thus, amidst Xiao Ji's laughter, Pan An stood up and fixed his gaze on her.
Xiao Ji sensed that the atmosphere had shifted. Seeing Pan An's serious yet not angry expression, she realized that this man was not as simple as she had imagined. She reined in her laughter and ceased her psychological tactics.
"What’s wrong? Do you want to fight?" Xiao Ji also stood up, and surprisingly, her height was not much shorter than Pan An's, giving her an imposing presence that even seemed more intimidating than his.
Pan An showed no sign of anger; he was a person who lived by the rules, making it difficult for anything to affect his emotional state.
"If I don’t do this, I believe the Demoness will not quietly listen to me. So I apologize."
As soon as Pan An finished speaking, he placed his hands on the conference table and swiftly crossed the three-meter-wide surface, landing directly in front of the Demoness. Then he transformed his palm into a fist and struck.
Xiao Ji did not expect this seemingly frail-looking man to take action so decisively and with such ferocity. She had thought he was merely a simple guest but realized he was indeed a skilled fighter.
However, Xiao Ji was no pushover herself; her fierce skills were as renowned as her beauty in the Cosmos. This was why so many who wished to take advantage of Xiao Ji ultimately found themselves regretting their attempts.
It wasn't that it was out of reach; it was because this was a Thorny Rose.
The two people instantly became entangled with each other, and while their movements were still quite impressive, to the few watching this scene in the monitoring room, it resembled children playing house.
"Who do you think can win?" Politeness asked Five.
"Can't you tell?" Five's gaze was fixed on the screen showing a man and a woman grappling, and he felt an inexplicable urge to laugh.
"I really can't see it at this level of combat."
At the level of Politeness and Five, there were rarely any martial arts duels that caught their attention. Eight years ago, during the pacification of Earth, they seldom encountered situations where physical combat could be thrilling. Of course, the experience with mechs was another matter entirely.
After watching for a while longer, Five said, "These two are evenly matched, but if it goes on for a bit longer, Pan An will win."
"Why? Is the man's strength greater?" Tong Bailong asked in confusion from the side.
Politeness patted Tong Bailong's shoulder with a knowing smile and replied, "Because there are many places on a woman that should not be touched."
The battle in the conference room continued, lasting about five minutes without a clear winner. Unfortunately for the tables and chairs, they had been moved around haphazardly, some even bearing signs of damage.
Suddenly, Xiao Ji turned and threw a punch but was intercepted by Pan An. The latter grasped Xiao Ji's striking hand with one palm while reaching for her neck with the other.
However, Xiao Ji would not easily allow her vital point to fall into her opponent's hands. She quickly used her free hand to strike down on Pan An's hand that was reaching for her neck, causing Pan An's palm to drop below.
What lies beneath the neck? Fair skin, along with two round protrusions.
Then, the movements of both individuals almost simultaneously came to a halt, as if time itself had frozen in that moment.
"Slave!" Politeness pouted, gesturing to Tong Bailong, "This is mine."
Tong Bailong nodded in understanding, realizing what was happening.
Calmness is often the prelude to a storm, and soon after, a deafening roar erupted in the conference room.
Xiao Ji was certainly not a pretentious woman; she could easily see herself as one. However, in this moment, her hand rested outside Pan An's palm while his hand lay on her chest, making it seem as though she was eagerly guiding his hand to touch herself...
What a humiliation this was.
As a result, Xiao Ji's mind began to shift, her movements becoming somewhat chaotic and frantic.
Pan An felt some embarrassment too, but he remained more composed than Xiao Ji. After several exchanges, he managed to subdue her.
Looking at Xiao Ji sprawled over the conference table, Pan An never expected things would escalate to this point; it was truly unpredictable.
"Well, now that I've won, you should be able to listen to me quietly," he said.
Xiao Ji fell silent for a moment before suddenly shouting fiercely, "Shameless! Despicable!"
Pan An also wondered what this had to do with him, considering it was you who placed my hand on your chest. Of course, this thought was only for himself and could not be spoken aloud.
Pan An slowly released his hand, and Xiao Ji angrily pulled hers back, rubbing her sore shoulder as she sat down beside Pan An with a huff.
It was a few seats away.
Pan An calmed his thoughts and organized his ideas before slowly saying, "Right now, you have no choice but to agree to our demands."
Xiao Ji scoffed disdainfully, expecting Pan An to say something substantial, but instead, he came out with such a hardline stance. It was truly laughable.
Before Xiao Ji could respond, Pan An continued, "Because what you represent now is not just yourself, Demoness, but the entire Scorpion Army and the lives of tens of thousands of soldiers."
