The powerful presence exhibited by Jufeng and the others caused Cao Ke's followers to tremble in shock.
Unfortunately, these tigers had become either short-legged or timid.
For a moment, silence enveloped the room.
The many innocent bystanders in the hall were bewildered by what was happening, lifting their heads to watch as the earlier fear gradually faded, replaced by a strange sense of admiration.
Just as Cao Ke was about to continue issuing orders, faint gunfire suddenly echoed from the stairwell in the corner. Moments later, a person flew through the air, crashing through two half-open doors before stumbling and collapsing on the ground, blood spilling from their mouth.
The person on the ground sensed that something was off in the atmosphere. Turning their head, they caught sight of the tense scene and a strikingly handsome face.
It was Civilization.
A moment later, more people burst through the stairway—some staggering, others panicked—at least a dozen in total. Among them were Politeness, Chen Tan Hua, Tian Feng, Tong Bailong, and Zhu Yao.
They had fought their way from one battlefield to another, and the atmosphere was thick with tension. The audience watched this new group of adversaries enter, feeling that tonight's thrilling spectacle was indeed worth witnessing.
No one spoke; many gazes met in the air, understanding passing between them.
In an instant, a single spark ignited a chain reaction, and the calm surface of the lake erupted into waves.
The first sound to break the silence was gunfire—fired by Civilization. The first person who had stumbled in felt fortunate that Civilization deemed him too weak to continue fighting; thus, the bullet passed over him and struck a companion behind him.
Watching his comrade fall before him—whether out of fear or pretense—the man also fainted.
Nearby, the five quickly unleashed their trump cards to eliminate surrounding enemies before leading Civilization away at breakneck speed from the stairwell.
As for Jufeng and the five, they chose another direction. Jufeng was in the middle while the five faced Civilization, with the stairwell behind them.
Wielding his gun, Wu swiftly shot down pursuing enemies and then turned to enter the stairwell alongside Jufeng, who had rushed over like lightning.
In the vast hall, only the group led by Huankezhao remained. Cao Ke had been observing quietly throughout the earlier events, maintaining a calm demeanor.
He was watching, and he had noticed something.
Longshu approached Cao Ke, puzzled as to why he had not yet ordered a pursuit.
"I'm sorry, General Cao. I couldn't stop them, and a few of them have gone missing."
Cao Ke replied nonchalantly, "This isn't your fault. I couldn't stop three people myself, let alone with your team being larger than mine. Injuring two of them is already enough."
"Evacuate the unrelated personnel from the first and second floors. The Guard Team and security will remain on those floors. The rest of you will follow me to continue the pursuit. Longshu, take your team up through Passage Two."
Upon hearing Cao Ke's words, Longshu was momentarily taken aback. In front of everyone, all their intruders had left unscathed—where were the injuries?
But after thinking it over carefully, he believed that Cao Ke's words could not be unfounded, so he felt a bit relieved.
These individuals were all more capable than him; naturally, the fewer there were, the better.
Under the gaze of hundreds of eyes, only Cao Ke had caught on to the clues. Indeed, two people had been injured.
Jufeng sprinted from the middle section to Five’s location. Although it was only a matter of seconds over a distance of several dozen meters, those seconds were filled with gunfire.
The space in the corridor was limited; Jufeng had little room to dodge, and thus his shoulder was hit by a bullet.
It was just like the last time when Hear the Command struck his shoulder.
Five examined Jufeng's shoulder wound and swiftly retrieved the bullet with practiced ease.
As for whether it hurt or not, Five wouldn’t ask, and Jufeng wouldn’t groan.
In a corner of the third floor, all the surveillance cameras along the way had been dealt with by Wu. After bandaging Jufeng, he took out a map.
It was the Universal Design Blueprint provided by Zhan Xingzi, the most detailed and unique one available.
Jufeng pointed to a location marked with Zhan Xingzi's special symbol, which was the office of Shangguan Wangyu.
"I guess he's waiting for us here, but getting there won't be easy," he said.
Wu smiled lightly and handed Jufeng a Huan Ke Second-Grade Knife that he had picked up along the way. "When has it ever been easy for us?"
According to Cao Ke, two people were injured; besides Jufeng, there was also a civilian.
The civilian used a gun, and his opponents were armed as well. In the recent battle, nearly sixty percent of the bullets were aimed at him because his marksmanship was too precise. Not dealing with him was like having a knife hanging over one's head, leaving no room for peace.
Although the civilian was an excellent shot, firing required openings, and with so many enemies, it was inevitable that he would be hit.
Fortunately, the bullet lodged in his thigh did not penetrate deeply.
Chen Tan Hua was extracting the bullet from the civilian, seemingly quite familiar with this task.
"The last time I did this was for Jufeng; this time it's for you. Can I get a Surgery license after this?"
The civilian gritted his teeth in pain and couldn't respond. Politeness chimed in from the side, "If we can kill Shangguan Wangyu this time, I'll help you open a hospital when we get back."
Chen Tan Hua finished up and shook his head at the civilian's grateful gaze before turning to Politeness. "Saving Chuyang is our success; Shangguan Wangyu is not that easy to kill."
Politeness looked at Chen Tan Hua's serious expression and understood that this wasn't a joke, so he nodded solemnly.
"Where do we go next?" Zhu Yao asked anxiously, still concerned about Liu Xing and Chuyang.
Civilization took out a Radar Instrument, which displayed numerous red dots, among which two were clustered together. They had now reached the fourth floor, and several more were gathered on higher floors; it was undoubtedly Liu Xing and his group.
The crowd exchanged glances, understanding their target, and thus began to move. However, before they could advance, they needed to disperse, as a large group would be too conspicuous.
They split into two teams and started their ascent.
With three groups advancing simultaneously, Liu Xing and his subordinates had already arrived at their intended destination—the floor where Shangguan Wangyu's office was located.
This floor was quite high, and the defense was formidable, comprised entirely of graduates from Universal Hunting. Although there was a significant gap in skill levels like that of Tian Feng, there was a vast difference compared to the ease with which they could take down a large group on the lower floors.
Liu Xing drew his sword, flanked by elite members of the Azure Wind Antelope and some subordinates from Old Horse. Faced with the daunting challenges ahead, Liu Xing resolutely unsheathed his sword.
