The Magellanic Star has faced the most devastating calamity since its completion. Hundreds of mechs staged a war scene around the Universal Building, a sight too much for the fragile hearts of the citizens of Kyoto, who had long enjoyed a life of ease.
If it weren't for the horrific events at Magellan Star, Jufeng would never have resorted to such drastic measures to resolve his issues. However, compared to that situation, this was merely a wake-up call.
Huankezhao has stood for a century, and today it faced a severe test. The building proved itself worthy of its name; there was no cutting corners or shoddy construction. It withstood the trials of organization, but that could not change the fact that it was left in ruins.
Inside Huankezhao's Senior Management area, thick smoke billowed outward—not from fire, but from the aftermath of explosions. A massive section of the building had turned into a wasteland, transforming the interior into an exposed high-end space.
Shangguan Wangyu gazed at the night sky amidst this high-end repair work, flanked by the ever-constant Tony, while the remains of Chasing Wind Dart lay quietly on the other side.
"General Cao has gone after them; however, the chances of catching up... are slim. I've already notified the Government Security Department; the entire Star Domain will be mobilized to hunt them down," he said.
Shangguan Wangyu remained silent as the night wind desperately tried to appreciate Huankezhao's interior decorations, lifting his hair in its gusts.
Everything was gone. Chuyang had been taken back, Huankezhao's reputation had suffered a blow, and most importantly, for the first time, Shangguan Wangyu's confidence wavered.
One hundred Crimson-Class Mechas—how could that be accomplished? Was he truly inferior?
Shangguan Wangyu withdrew his gaze and then noticed Chasing Wind Dart lying nearby. Suddenly, it felt as if this unfeeling object was mocking him.
In a fit of rage, Shangguan Wangyu kicked Chasing Wind Dart hard into a pile of rubble.
Tony fell silent in response to Shangguan Wangyu's fury, not daring to make a sound or even breathe loudly.
After a while, Shangguan Wangyu spoke in a weary voice: "Notify Cao Ke; it's time to declare full-scale war on the Magellan Star System."
In a nearby café of the Universal Building, the place was now deserted. The patrons who had come with a casual mindset had all fled in a panic, and even the owner was nowhere to be found.
Yet, in every era, there are always those who stand out or seem out of place. Just like a battlefield covered in yellow sand, where a passionate wildflower might occasionally bloom.
Only two people remained in the café, tucked away in a corner far from the dust and noise, surrounded by a moment of sweetness.
Zhan Xingzi put down the phone and raised a glass of wine, sipping it slowly.
"I can hardly believe he managed to find a Crimson Rank army. That's a hundred Crimson Rank soldiers. What does that even mean? It's truly turned my worldview upside down."
Across from him, Qing Qiu Bai was equally astonished but did not share Zhan Xingzi's sentimentality. Instead, he bore a look of concern after hearing the news about Wenming being injured.
After a moment, Qing Qiu Bai said, "Since Shangguan Wangyu is about to launch a full-scale war, shouldn't we start taking action as well?"
Zhan Xingzi shook his head, savoring the wine in his mouth before swallowing it and replying, "It's still a bit early; we need to wait until Shangguan Wangyu leaves this building."
"Is he really going to lead the charge himself?" Qing Qiu Bai asked incredulously.
"Absolutely."
The two sat in silence for a while, occasionally glancing outside to see hurried passersby. It seemed that tonight, the entire Magellanic Star would be unable to enjoy restful sleep.
Zhan Xingzi stood up and picked up the bottle of wine on the table, saying with some pride, "The wine I brought from home is definitely more flavorful."
Qing Qiu Bai linked arms with Zhan Xingzi, and the two walked side by side away.
Tonight was destined to be a night for the history books, not only because Jufeng broke many records but also due to the emergence of hidden powers.
Tonight, one hundred and ten Red-Class Mecha Pilots, twenty Tenth Rank Mecha Pilots, and three hundred Azure Level Upper Mecha Pilots appeared out of nowhere. They engaged in a confrontation; however, the escape of the hundred Red-Class Mecha Pilots was so intense that the battle was not particularly fierce. Yet, one could foresee the scene when they would meet again on the battlefield in the future.
Jufeng piloted his mecha alongside Shen Lu, the sect leader. Hundreds of mechas were indeed eye-catching, but they were unstoppable. After several maneuvers and ambushing two military encampments to replenish energy, they finally arrived at the Magellan Star System.
Shen Lu connected the communication with Jufeng, who wore a beaming smile. Like a child, he could only feel such joy when he was with his family from Yanhuang City.
"Senior Brother, I really don't know how to thank you. I initially didn't want to involve Yanhuang City, but I had no choice when my junior brothers were in trouble."
Jufeng still referred to Shen Lu as Senior Brother when they were together. Shen Lu would always regard Jufeng as his most cherished junior brother.
Shen Lu replied with a hint of annoyance, "You know this will make our master in the underworld jump up and spank you. Do you remember our oath for Yanhuang City? Once a person of Yanhuang City, always a person of Yanhuang City. How could we not help you? Just don’t complain that your Senior Brother came late."
Jufeng and Shen Lu talked all the way; this matter could be considered resolved, except for Liu Xing suffering some injuries and losing a few brothers.
As they approached Near Earth Star, Shen Lu and Jufeng did not rush back but suddenly began to spar amidst the starry sky.
The battle was intense. At first, Jufeng felt somewhat restrained against Shen Lu, but after suffering several defeats, he suddenly realized that Shen Lu had already progressed far along his path.
Shen Lu pushed Jufeng to use all his strength to counterattack; however, it lasted less than a minute before Jufeng gloriously fell.
"Senior Brother, your strength is almost at the upper level now; I truly admire you."
Shen Lu smiled foolishly and said, "You, if you had been practicing diligently in Yanhuang City, you would be at the Crimson Rank Upper Tier by now. With such talent, it's a shame to be delayed by worldly matters. Let's spar during this time; although it feels a bit like forcing growth, it's much better than you ending up dead on the battlefield."
Jufeng was overjoyed upon hearing this; such an opportunity was truly rare. If he had strength like Shen Lu's, then Cao Ke would be easily defeated in seconds. He hurriedly thanked his senior brother.
After disappearing for a while, Jufeng achieved a remarkable feat, Triumph. The people of Near Earth Star welcomed him with open arms because Jufeng had brought honor and morale to them.
The tragedy of Magellan Star unfolded on Magellanic Star, and people cheered as Jufeng's reputation spread almost throughout the entire Star System overnight. Even the children in their cradles would hear adults say,
"In the future, we must be like Commander Ju, young and accomplished, upright and brave."
Having created such brilliance, Jufeng naturally received recognition and commendation from the United Nations. However, it seemed he could no longer find a way to avoid Ganwen.
