With a single attack, countless fine strikes unleashed their power. The various types of Zombies encountered a widespread assault, and in an instant, began to die en masse. The bodies of the numerous Spider Zombies that fell gradually covered the ground, forming a layer like a carpet, which then transformed into Zombie Fluid.
Despite their grotesque forms, they were still Zombies at their core; as long as they were Zombies, there would be Zombie Fluid.
However, what surprised Zheng Yifan was that these Zombies did not possess Zombie Crystal s.
It was known that if Zombies lacked Zombie Crystal s, it was likely that they were strange breeds born from this large Fellow, rather than independent entities. Yet even the larger Spider Zombies still had no Zombie Crystal s.
“Li Ning! Have you noticed anything strange?” Zheng Yifan's tone became serious.
The absence of Zombie Crystal s was indeed unusual.
“They all lack Zombie Crystal s. This situation is rare. I've only seen one type of worm-like Zombie before; it didn't matter how many pieces it was cut into, there was only ever one Zombie Crystal in the end. I suppose these spiders are similar?” Li Ning replied bitterly.
Indeed! If they were all part of a single entity, then these Spider Zombies were merely parasitic creatures; their true host was the real Zombie.
And these were just means of attack.
If that were the case, then this Zombie was terrifying. One wondered why the Sun God Zombie hadn’t dealt with this creature. After all, that Zombie was the enemy of these Spider Zombies.
Despite the difficulties Zheng Yifan and his team faced, that Fellow could simply unleash its ultimate move and eliminate all these Zombies in an instant.
“Quickly go save people. We can deal with other matters later; we must first secure the System God before addressing this!” Zheng Yifan urged as he and Li Ning rushed into the cave ahead.
At the entrance of about one meter high, the Spider Web had completely shattered. It seemed that with the death of the spider, the web’s own resilience had been destroyed.
Zheng Yifan considered a possibility. This thing must have relied on Vital Energy to maintain its resilience and stickiness.
When the spider died, without the supplied Vital Energy, its resilience and stickiness would be completely lost.
This had become ordinary spider silk.

Humans had too many methods at their disposal, which the Zombies could not compare to at all.
The hole was small, but after Zheng Yifan destroyed it with his Vital Energy Fluctuation, he discovered that the surroundings were filled with spider silk. When Zheng Yifan entered, he realized that the spider was likely guarding food. The cocoons made of spider silk had completely disbanded, and the people inside had all emerged.
He could clearly see two members of his team looking weakly at Zheng Yifan, their bodies visibly swollen.
The only relief was that they were not completely dead; they still had some Vital Energy Fluctuation left.
It was this Vital Energy that helped them resist the Corrosive forces.
"Boss! These spiders are terrifying! You need to save the others quickly. Once entangled, we can't use Vital Energy and will continuously lose it. I have a feeling that once my Vital Energy is completely drained, those toxins will invade. They aren't killing us directly; they're using us as batteries," he said, pointing out the cocoons around them as evidence of his claim.
The cocoons revealed nothing but corpses—some were beasts, some were cats and dogs, and others were human. Most were the bodies of Zombies.
The Spider Zombie didn't spare even the regular Zombies.
However, in reality, Zombies tend to turn on each other. Moreover, for the Spider Zombies, the other Zombies might not even be considered part of the same species.
Zheng Yifan felt that these Spider Zombies could be regarded as an independent species. They could reproduce on their own and had developed such strange combat methods.
Undoubtedly, the two captured warriors had already begun to clean off the slime from their bodies.
Without the enhancement of Vital Energy, this slime was no different from ordinary slime. They poured some Cleaning Agent prepared specifically by the Gathering Place onto themselves and then shook it off with Vital Energy.
Everything fell away without causing any damage.
Zheng Yifan truly understood the methods of these spiders.

In other words, if a spider caught you, you were as good as dead.

This Venom would cause the person inside to slowly die while also preserving them for a certain period.
That was truly a cruel twist. They had a refrigerator-like function. Of course, more likely, it turned food into jerky.
Just like those people who had died nearby. Their bodies still bore traces of their former appearance, but it looked like they had been dead for no less than several months.
It was simply bizarre.
