Ye Xiu turned around and finally saw that long-missed face.

"You!!!" Ye Xiu managed to squeeze out that one word directed at Haitai Ping.
Initially, when Haitai Ping appeared, he thought there would be fairness, but it turned out to be collusion instead.
"Is the Alliance Leader handling this a bit too casually?" a middle-aged man in a Daoist robe remarked.
"What? Do you mean to say that Sect Leader Gongshu would rather believe an unknown person than trust the son of a reputable family?" Haitai Ping challenged.

Ye Xiu had hoped that someone would finally speak up for him, only to find himself surrounded by those who were in cahoots.
In fact, there were sects willing to speak on Ye Xiu's behalf, but unfortunately, they were just unknown figures and were not willing to offend the Dao Alliance and Maple Whisper Tower over someone like him.
"Please continue. We trust you with this matter," Haitai Ping said to Zhang Ran.
