January 19
I woke up early today. Although I had another nightmare last night, my attention was drawn more to something else, so I couldn't remember the details of the dream clearly.
The itching and heat in my chest had spread to my limbs, and I feared that soon it would engulf my entire body.
I felt a sense of urgency; I had to do something before that happened.
Early in the morning, I got up to find the camp leader, Sister Qingya.
When I found her, she was standing in the courtyard of the area. I approached her quietly from behind and said politely, "Sister Qingya, I have something to tell you."
"Hmm? Is there something?" She turned around, looking somewhat confused at me, wondering what good news a person about to be eaten could possibly have.
But to avoid exposing their malicious plan, she nodded and gestured for me to speak.
I looked at her beautiful face, took a deep breath, and finally spoke out loud.
"I only have a few words that must be said. Sister Qingya, perhaps those savage people once ate a bit of humanity. Later, because their thoughts changed, some stopped eating people altogether and became good, turning into real humans. Yet some still eat—just like insects; some transformed into fish, birds, or monkeys until they became human. Some refuse to change and remain insects to this day. The people who eat others are far more shameful than those who do not eat. They are much worse than the shame of insects or monkeys."
"Easily Steamed fed his son to Jie Zhou; that was still in the past. Who knows since Pangu opened up the land? They have been eating until Easy Tooth's son; from Easy Tooth's son all the way to Xu Xilin; from Xu Xilin on they continued until they caught people on Four Bowls Street."
"And now they are becoming increasingly terrifying; they want to eat me. You alone cannot think of a solution. I know you are powerless by yourself and cannot stop them—I don't blame you for that—but why must you join them? What kind of things can people who eat others not do? They will eat me now. In the future, they will also eat you; among a group like this, they will turn on each other as well."
"This is a very frightening thing, but if you just take a step back, if you change immediately, then everyone can live in peace. Although it has always been this way, we can still strive for better now! Sister Qingya, I believe you can do it."
At first, she pretended to listen with a smile. But then her expression darkened as soon as I uncovered their hidden truths. Her face turned gloomy, resembling that of Chu Donglin from before.
I turned back and saw a group of people standing outside the courtyard, including Chen Lao Wu and the doctor, all peering in curiously. Some had their faces obscured, seemingly covered with cloth, while others still wore their Azure-Faced Fang smiles.
I recognized them as a group of man-eaters.
Yet I understood that their thoughts were quite different. Some believed it was only natural to eat, while others knew it was wrong but still felt compelled to do so, fearing exposure from their peers. Hearing my words only fueled their anger, but they merely responded with cold laughter, displaying their sense of superiority.
At that moment, those at the entrance suddenly revealed their vicious side. Someone shouted loudly, "Sister Qingya! You can see we’re not mistaken, this fellow has truly gone mad!"
In that instant, I grasped another of their cunning schemes.
Not only were they unwilling to abandon their cannibalistic habits, but they had also prepared to use the label of madness to frame me, setting the stage for my eventual murder.
Once they had branded me as insane, they could kill and consume me without fear of consequence. In fact, there might even be applause for ridding the world of a madman... This was their old trick!
Chen Lao Wu stormed in angrily, reaching out to grab me and attempting to cover my mouth. But with his frail frame, how could he possibly silence me? The group of man-eating Evil Spirits were even less inclined to listen. I defiantly addressed them, "You can change; start from your hearts! You must understand that in the future, there will be no place for cannibals in this world... Just like Zombies! Zombies will surely perish; they will all die!"
"If you do not change, you will ultimately consume yourselves. Even if you breed abundantly, you will be wiped out by true humans, just like hunters finishing off wolves! Just like insects!"
That group was driven away by Chen Lao Wu, and Sister Qingya seemed to have vanished.
In the end, Chen Lao Wu dragged me back into the house, which was shrouded in darkness. The roof and beams trembled above me; after a while, they collapsed onto me with immense weight, rendering me immobile.
It means it wants me dead.
I know its heaviness is a lie, yet I struggle free, drenched in sweat, but I still want to.
"You all need to change immediately, starting from your hearts! You must understand that the future cannot allow those who consume others..."
Outside, I faintly heard the voices of Chen Lao Wu and his group.
"This fellow has truly gone mad..."
"Mad..."
"Definitely mad..."
Then, in hushed tones, I seemed to hear them discussing the details of how to kill me and eat me, but I no longer cared. I wanted to see those two messengers.
Those two pure messengers.
If my death is inevitable, I at least hope to save them from suffering.
If those beautifully flawless messengers were also harmed by this group of Malicious People, it would truly be a tragedy beyond comprehension.
Meanwhile, the heat in my chest intensified, and the itch spread to nearly every part of my body.
I knew my time was short, but I at least hoped to do something before it was too late.

I woke up very early today, even before dawn.
As I stepped out of the dark corridor of the hospital, I looked up and saw the Green Moon in the sky.
I almost thought I was hallucinating or still trapped in a nightmare, because the Green Moon only appeared in nightmares.
But then a cold wind blew past, sending a shiver down my spine, and I realized this was not a dream.
No dream could feel this real.
In the pitch-black area, it was eerily empty.
I took a few steps and suddenly remembered my mission—I was to rescue those two messengers.
I headed toward my destination when I heard a woman's Laughter.
“Cthulhu awaits your entrance into the dream… hee hee hee…”
Amidst the eerie Laughter, I vaguely saw in the darkness ahead a woman dressed in a Qipao, an Enchantress, waving her Fan and smiling at me.
As I walked over, I realized it was just an illusion; the road was completely empty, devoid of anything.
I didn't need to concern myself with that woman; I had more important matters to attend to, so I pushed her out of my mind.
I was determined to rescue those two messengers, but unfortunately, my plans were thwarted.
I ran into the night patrol on my way and was forcibly dragged back to the ward, where they locked me in.
They must have thought I was trying to escape, which is why they treated me this way.
But... hum!
I had already confirmed the whereabouts of the messengers. Go ahead and lock me up; no matter how you secure me, I will quietly slip out tonight and rescue them.
I am certain of it!
Moreover, the heat and itchiness in my chest had spread throughout my body. Strangely enough, at this moment, I no longer felt uncomfortable; instead, I felt a sense of comfort... What on earth is happening? Could it be that my ailments were not caused by those people? (To be continued...)
