The moonlight was cool and serene, while the cold wind howled.
Winter in Wocheng was not particularly cold, and snow was a rare sight.
However, when the Raging Wind swept through, the biting chill it brought was no less severe than that of thick ice and snow.
On this deserted night, thanks to Chu Donglin driving away all the nearby Mutated Zombies some time ago, the abandoned streets were only populated by the mindless Low-Level Zombies that wandered slowly.
With a deafening explosion, the ground beneath Chu Donglin cracked and shattered, sending countless shards of rebar and concrete flying into the air, forming a swirling vortex behind him that emitted a cacophony of noise.
He coldly regarded the woman across from him, his expression devoid of any friendliness, replaced instead by a palpable sense of vigilance and wariness.
"What have you done to Pan Dayou?"
Chu Donglin's harsh question was met with a light giggle from Acha.
"What do you mean by 'done something'? Mr. Chu, what are you talking about? How can I understand? What could a weak woman like me possibly do? Haven't I already returned that Mr. Pan Dayou to you? Are you still not satisfied and want to take him away as well?"
As she spoke, the woman feigned shyness, gently covering her face with her hands, her expression one of coyness.
"Oh dear... that would be so embarrassing! Even though I really like Mr. Chu Donglin, you already have Sister Xin'er. You promised to accompany her for a lifetime; how could you go back on your word?"
Suddenly, Acha seemed to think of another possibility. She gasped and covered her mouth, her eyes widening as she looked at Chu Donglin as if she had just discovered a beastly scoundrel.
"Could it be... could it be that Mr. Chu wants to enjoy the company of both me and Sister Xin'er together?"
Chu Donglin let out a cold snort. His right hand pointed coldly at the woman ahead.
With a sharp crack—
Amidst the deafening explosion, a whirlwind composed of countless concrete fragments and fine rebar howled behind him, producing a piercing sound of friction. Those numerous sharp objects soared into the air, resembling a roaring dragon.
As Chu Donglin swung his right hand down, the dragon roared and lunged toward the enchanting woman on the street.
The torrent formed by rebar and concrete fragments surged forward, overwhelming like a tidal wave.
The woman took a step back, narrowly avoiding the most terrifying edge of the Tornado Stream, as the tumbling mud and rebar nearly grazed her body in their deadly rush.
The fierce wind swept in, causing the hem of her Qipao to flutter lightly. Her long Snow White legs shimmered under the moonlight, exuding an alluring glow, captivating all who beheld her.
Acha giggled as she gently opened the fan in her hand. "Mr. Chu really doesn’t understand how to cherish delicate beauty at all. You're so rough; what if you accidentally break her? Or is this your preference? Do you enjoy torturing lovely girls?"
With a flick of his right hand, the roaring dragon in the night sky suddenly shattered into countless sharp fragments, suspended like a frozen curtain in mid-air.
From all directions—up, down, left, right… almost every space was enveloped by those countless sharp shards.
Then Chu Donglin's right hand fell, and the sharp, piercing sound of slicing through the air echoed through the silent night.
Swish swish swish swish swish—
Countless sharp fragments tore through the air, shooting towards the woman ahead. Everything in their path, even the cars parked on the street, was left riddled with holes.
The woman raised her Fan, and an invisible barrier appeared in front of her. All the fragments that collided with it were unable to break through, quickly piling up into a mound at her feet.
"That's not going to work, Mr. Chu Donglin," she teased.
With a playful smile that covered half of her beautiful face, she seemed to be enjoying a game with him. "You can't hurt me with just this."
The moment her voice fell, Chu Donglin's gaze turned icy, and the countless flying fragments suddenly trembled.
Then, amidst a piercing roar, the ground near Acha erupted, and several sharp Rebar pieces shot up… but missed.
The woman vanished from sight, reappearing several meters away just in time to evade the sudden attack. However, as she regained her footing, the glass windows of a shop behind her exploded, and dozens of gleaming Cold Light blades flew out from the dark interior.
These were cheap stainless steel fruit knives from the store; although inexpensive, they were terrifyingly sharp.
The slender fruit knives whistled through the air like a rain of flying daggers aimed at Acha, their blinding Cold Light sending chills down spines.
In what seemed like teleportation, Acha gracefully turned and reappeared several meters away once more.
Yet after Acha vanished, the dozens of sharp flying knives did not disperse; instead, they changed direction mid-air and shot towards Acha again.
At the same time, a Tornado Stream composed of concrete and countless fragments roared behind Acha, rushing towards her with deadly intent.
The crumbling Cement Road Surface continued to fracture and explode, with countless Dodo fragments of Rebar piercing through, only to fall into the void. New Rebar emerged, leaving sharp stubs that glimmered coldly under the moonlight.
Like a gentle dance in the moonlight, the woman's enchanting figure leaped lightly along the street, disappearing with a joyful smile on her face.
"Mr. Chu Donglin, you are so enthusiastic; it's a bit overwhelming for me."
Two Fans waved gracefully, brushing aside several flying daggers that had been shot at her. Acha giggled as she looked at Chu Donglin. "Can't you be a little gentler?"
Chu Donglin snorted coldly, controlling the torrent of debris that nearly Fury engulfed the street where the woman stood. Countless fragments of concrete, pieces of Rebar, flying daggers, shards of glass... a chaotic roar of Dodo clutter surged like a merciless tornado, ruthlessly encroaching upon the woman's space.
"Clear the way for me!"
Amidst Chu Donglin's cold snort, the woman danced lightly at the center of the Tornado Stream, letting out a soft sigh that hinted at her sadness.
"Hey... I only came to say goodbye because I was leaving Jiang Hai. I didn't expect you to treat me this way... Acha is truly heartbroken. Do you really see me as a wicked woman in your eyes?"
Her face bore a slight frown, tears welling up in her eyes.
The sight of her sorrowful expression was simply heart-wrenching, evoking an instinctive desire to care for her, to protect her, to hold her close and soothe her worries. (To be continued...)
