"There's no need to use it to find me; I'll go looking for it tomorrow," Jiang Chen said with a smile. After all, the main purpose of coming to the Island Nation had already been fulfilled. Since this Island Nation had a Demon God, Jiang Chen wanted to witness the power of this Millennium Ghost God, hoping it wouldn't disappoint him.
Seeing that Jiang Chen was going to find the Eastern Deity, Takeda Kyoko was not too surprised; everything seemed quite natural.
"Then tomorrow, I'll accompany you," Takeda Kyoko said.
"No need for that. Just let Kikuko come with me. You and the Takeda Family have many matters to attend to these days," Jiang Chen replied with a smile.
Takeda Kyoko nodded. Indeed, there had been significant changes at home, and she couldn't afford to leave.
After parting ways with Takeda Kyoko, Tengye Kikuko escorted Jiang Chen back to his hotel. Then Kikuko returned home, her phone buzzing incessantly with calls from her family; she had to hurry back.
Meanwhile, Takeda Kyoko returned home to find everyone preparing for a funeral. In the spacious hall, the bodies of Takeda Dairo and Takeda Yuumei were already covered with white cloth. The men of the Takeda Family wore expressions of sorrow, while the women and children wept.
"Kyouko, you're back. Should we hire someone to take revenge for our Takeda Family?" a woman asked through her tears. She was Takeda Yuumei's wife, and her desire for vengeance was understandable.
As soon as Takeda Kyoko entered, she heard her sister-in-law's question. Her expression tightened, and she quickly shook her head. "Sister-in-law, I think we should let this matter go."
The surviving members of the Takeda Family looked at Takeda Kyoko and nodded slightly in agreement. However, her words did not sit well with her sister-in-law.
"Kyouko, what do you mean by that? Your father has just been killed; under any circumstances, you should want revenge," her sister-in-law continued.
"Sister-in-law, I understand your feelings. But you've seen Mr. Jiang's abilities; it's wise not to provoke him," Takeda Kyoko advised. She knew that Jiang Chen's power was like a raging flood; once they made an enemy of him, the consequences would be unimaginable. The entire Takeda Family could be wiped out.
Her sister-in-law listened to Takeda Kyoko's words with a helpless expression. After considering it, she realized that no one could stand against Jiang Chen and reluctantly agreed to drop the idea.
"Alright then, let's all listen to Kyouko! Since Dairo is no longer here, let Kyouko take over as Clan Leader!" Takeda's Mother quickly interjected.
"Okay, I have no objections!" everyone chimed in. After all, she had saved their lives; it made sense for Kyouko to be Clan Leader.
Even her sister-in-law expressed agreement. Although she didn't support Kyouko's refusal for revenge, she still felt grateful for Kyouko's life-saving grace.
"Well then, since everyone agrees for me to be Clan Leader, let's proceed with the arrangements for the funeral. As for Mr. Jiang, I won't provoke him in the future," Takeda Kyoko stated.
"Alright, we wouldn't dare provoke him even if you didn't say so," everyone affirmed.
Only Takeda Yuumei's wife remained silent.
Noticing this, Takeda Kyoko frowned slightly but understood her sister-in-law's feelings. Although she hadn't voiced her opinion, she likely wouldn't dare provoke Jiang Chen either.
"Everyone knows that Mr. Jiang just killed one of the Eastern Deity's subordinates; the Eastern Deity will surely seek revenge. Mr. Jiang said he doesn't need the Eastern Deity to find him; he'll go directly to confront the Eastern Deity," Takeda Kyoko continued. The purpose of this statement was twofold: first, to demonstrate Jiang Chen's strength; second, if Jiang Chen were unable to defeat the Eastern Deity, he might meet his end in Hokkaido—fulfilling some people's desire for vengeance in a roundabout way.
