Chapter Ninety-Two: River of the Underworld 0

Lin Miaomiao formed a seal, soaring through the Void on her sword with incredible speed. The cold wind whipped past her ears, lifting her hair into a flutter. Behind her, a handsome figure clad in white followed closely. 0

“Junior Sister, where are you going? Wait for me!” Lu Wushuang called out while chasing after her. 0

Upon reaching the border, Lin Miaomiao found that the battle had already concluded. The Border Troops were beginning to clear the battlefield. In this conflict against the demon race, although the Tang Empire had successfully repelled the invasion and pushed the demons back to their territory, countless lives had been lost. 0

Especially among the loyal old generals of the Tang Empire, nearly all had perished. Even Tang Jiner, the beloved daughter of the Tang Emperor, had fallen on the battlefield. 0

Lin Miaomiao paid little attention to these losses; there was only one person she cared about. She began asking where Lin Feng was. 0

Since Lin Feng was the Vice Captain of Dongping County, the soldiers were very familiar with his name. 0

“Are you asking about Lieutenant Lin?” 0

“I don’t know his rank; his name is Lin Feng,” Miaomiao explained anxiously. 0

“Then that must be Lieutenant Lin. He has already died in battle.” 0

Hearing those words, Miaomiao felt a buzzing in her head as everything around her suddenly went dark and began to spin. She stumbled, nearly falling over. 0

Lu Wushuang quickly steadied Lin Miaomiao. “Miaomiao, are you okay?” 0

“Don’t touch me!” Lin Miaomiao pushed Lu Wushuang away, her face turning pale. She couldn’t accept the reality of Lin Feng’s death and asked again, “You’re lying to me, right?” 0

“It’s true.” 0

Lin Miaomiao could not bring herself to believe this fact. She sought confirmation from many people, and the result was consistently pointing to the truth of Lin Feng's death. 0

"Junior Sister, please accept my condolences," Lu Wushuang comforted her. 0

"It’s impossible, he can’t be dead..." 0

Lin Miaomiao murmured to herself as she rushed out of the city, blending into the vast white snow in search of Lin Feng's figure. 0

"Lin Feng, Lin Feng, where are you..." 0

Lin Miaomiao called out loudly into the Snowstorm. 0

"Lin Feng, please show yourself! Where are you...?" 0

One day turned into two, and Lin Miaomiao scoured the Snowfield for any trace of Lin Feng, day and night. Her voice gradually became hoarse, and her tears slowly dried up. 0

Lu Wushuang watched as Lin Miaomiao grew increasingly haggard, feeling a deep pang of sympathy. "Junior Sister, let’s go back. The Jiuzhou Gathering Conference is about to begin; we need to head to Zhongzhou." 0

"If I can’t find Lin Feng, what’s the point of going to that damn conference? You can leave; I don’t want to see you anymore." 0

Lin Miaomiao rasped, then turned and melted back into the Snowstorm, continuing her search for Lin Feng. 0

In the Cloud Sea, there were countless fluffy white clouds, soft and lovely. Lin Feng sank deeper into the Cloud Sea and slowly opened his eyes. 0

"Where is this?" 0

Lin Feng spoke to himself, looking around at the clouds but unable to discern any direction. He attempted to extend his Divine Consciousness outward but found that this Cloud Sea was boundless. 0

Here, the clouds were the only scenery. Here, there was no distinction between day and night, and time was an unknown concept. Lin Feng had been sinking downwards, unaware of how long it had been. 0

"I must find a way to get out." 0

Lin Feng began his cultivation, attempting to fly with his sword. However, he discovered that no matter how hard he tried to ascend, he kept falling. 0

"This place is quite mysterious; I have no idea how to escape." 0

Lin Feng murmured to himself, feeling lost. As he watched the clouds continuously descend around him, he began to feel dizzy after a while, and a wave of drowsiness washed over him. 0

As this drowsiness hit him, Lin Feng felt a sudden chill of death enveloping his entire body, causing him to shiver involuntarily. He quickly shook his head to wake himself up. 0

Once again, he sank deeper, an unending descent. 0

After several bouts of drowsiness, Lin Feng finally succumbed to the overwhelming fatigue and tightly shut his eyes, drifting into sleep. His body floated among the clouds, still sinking steadily. 0

The Moon City Sword within him flew out without any command from Lin Feng and swiftly pierced into the Cloud Sea, disappearing from sight. 0

Time passed—how long, he could not tell—before the vanished Moon City Sword reappeared. Lin Feng remained asleep as if slumbering was eternal. 0

The Moon City Sword landed at Lin Feng's feet, its blade pressed firmly against his soles, carrying him horizontally until it finally entered a realm of darkness. 0

The moment the Moon City Sword entered the night, Lin Feng awoke from his spellbound slumber. Looking around at the endless darkness, he muttered to himself, "What place is this?" 0

Lin Feng felt a force beneath his feet propelling him forward in a specific direction. He looked down and saw the Moon City Sword firmly attached to his soles. 0

"This sword can act on its own? Where is it trying to take me?" 0

Lin Feng was filled with confusion as the Moon City Sword carried him through the darkness. He had no idea how long they had been flying when he finally spotted something in the distance. 0

It was a massive stone tablet, towering several people high. The tablet was entirely black, blending seamlessly with the surrounding night; without his keen Divine Consciousness, it would have been nearly impossible to detect its presence. 0

Engraved on the stone tablet were two ancient characters—River of the Underworld. 0

"River of the Underworld." 0

Lin Feng repeated the words, unsure of their meaning. As he pondered, the Moon City Sword suddenly surged toward the enormous stone tablet. 0

Just as they were about to collide with it, Lin Feng couldn't help but shout, "Hey, what are you trying to do?" 0

The Moon City Sword moved at incredible speed, and before Lin Feng could finish his sentence, they plunged into the stone tablet. 0

Inside the tablet was an unexpected cavern. 0

It was still an endless expanse of blackness, but a brown island floated within. The Moon City Sword was guiding Lin Feng toward that island. Upon closer inspection, he noticed an oval-shaped Country Bumpkin on the island, with a gigantic stone door standing before it. 0

The Country Bumpkin and the stone door together resembled a grave. 0

The Moon City Sword brought Lin Feng down onto the island, right in front of the stone door. 0

Lin Feng looked up and gazed quietly at the door. It stood over ten feet tall, adorned with countless intricate carvings that exuded an air of majesty and ancient charm. 0

"Moon City Sword, why have you brought me here?" Lin Feng couldn't help but ask. 0

As soon as he finished speaking, four figures emerged from behind the stone door. They were all clad in black robes and wore matching Skeleton Masks, appearing somewhat terrifying in the night. 0

The four individuals were momentarily taken aback upon seeing Lin Feng. 0

Lin Feng also paused slightly and asked, “Who are you?” 0

The four exchanged glances, then nodded in unison, suddenly springing into action. A thick, dark mist emanated from them, coalescing into a net that surged toward Lin Feng. 0

“Peak Fate Realization.” 0

Lin Feng was startled and immediately activated his cultivation to defend himself. He attempted to summon the Moon City Sword, but to his surprise, it was no longer under his control and had flown off somewhere unknown. 0

Without a sword in hand, Lin Feng glanced at the storage bag of the War Maniac, which contained a spear—a Ninth-Grade Treasure. It was the highest-ranked artifact within the storage bag. 0

Grasping the spear, Lin Feng thrust it toward the approaching dark mist. Thanks to the power radiating from the Golden Dragon Armor, even though he did not possess advanced Divine Abilities, his strength was still formidable. 0

As the spear clashed with the dark mist, its sharp edge cleaved through it effortlessly. With Lin Feng wielding the spear in a whirling motion, the dark mist could not approach him at all. 0

“Golden Dragon Armor? Are you of royal blood?” the Black-Robed Figure asked, pausing his attack to inquire quietly. 0

Lin Feng feigned innocence and replied, “Indeed.” 0

The Black-Robed Figure pondered for a moment before saying, “This hidden place is one I have searched for in the Ghost Realm for one hundred seventy-two years. It’s first come, first served.” 0

Lin Feng understood then that these individuals were not natives of the island. He did not wish to entangle himself further; all four of them had reached the peak of Fate Realization and exuded an eerie aura. 0

With this in mind, Lin Feng said, “I have no intention of interfering with your affairs. I will simply pass through.” 0

“Then we ask that you leave,” the Black-Robed Figure replied. 0

Lin Feng forced a bitter smile and replied, "To be honest, I stumbled into this place without knowing how. I have no idea how to get out, so I hope you can help me." 0

The Four Black-Robed Figures exchanged glances and whispered among themselves for a moment. Finally, the leader spoke, "If you do not leave, we will have no choice but to fight to the death and enter the Moon Mother Tomb together." 0

Having barely survived, Lin Feng truly did not want to risk his life here. He said, "My friends, I genuinely do not know where the exit is. While I have many interests, I have no desire to engage in tomb raiding." 0

"Entering this place requires a Supreme Being of the Enlightenment Realm to use a time-space Divine Technique. If you claim to have entered by mistake, are you not mocking our ignorance? We ask that you activate your Divine Technique to leave quickly; we will not obstruct you. However, if you wish to fight us, then we will have no choice but to kill you first," the leader said ominously. 0

"What time-space Divine Ability? What activation? I don’t understand what you’re talking about. Let me say this one last time: I accidentally came here. Either help me leave, or go ahead and raid your tomb; I won’t interfere. After you're done, just take me with you when you leave. Or we can fight; don’t think I'm being polite because I'm afraid of you." 0

"Kill." 0

The response from Lin Feng's adversaries was a simple command to kill, and then the four figures in black robes moved again, dark energy swirling around them, nearly concealing their forms. 0
