Chapter 1: My Justice is My Fist
Elder Mu carried Lin Feng out, and everyone quickly turned to look, seeing Lin Feng unconscious in his Golden Armor. Due to a strike from the spiritual weapon of the Enlightenment Realm, the Xuanjia was covered in numerous cracks.
Seeing that Lin Feng still had a breath left, Elder Mu finally let out a sigh of relief and said, "Fortunately, his life is not in danger."
Then, Elder Mu looked towards Greenhill Peak and called out, "Xi'er, why aren't you coming over to apologize?"
Magenta knelt down and hugged Lin Feng, tears in her eyes as she called out to him, "Young Master, you can't die. You must wake up. Sister Miao is still waiting for you at home."
At Azure Fish Alley, in Lanzhou Noodle House.
Lin Miaomiao sat at the entrance, glancing into the distance from time to time, hoping for Lin Feng's return. Suddenly, she felt a sharp pain in her chest, as if being cut by a knife. This feeling of pain was somewhat familiar. The last time something happened to Lin Feng, her heart had felt just like this.
"Not good, something has happened to Lin Feng."
Lin Miaomiao's face turned pale with shock as she said to Tu Yu inside the noodle house, "Tu Gang Master, I need to check on Lin Feng. Please take care of the noodle house for me."
Without waiting for Tu Yu's response, Lin Miaomiao quickly formed a hand sign and flew away on her sword towards Azure Cloud Sect.
Just after flying a few miles from the noodle house, a masked figure appeared in the air, blocking Lin Miaomiao's path.
Lin Miaomiao glared at the newcomer and shouted angrily, "Who are you?"
"The one who will kill you," the masked man replied calmly; judging by his tone, he was a middle-aged man.
At Azure Cloud Sect, on Treading Green Peak.
Magenta sat on the ground with Lin Feng's head resting on her lap. She kept calling out his name and repeatedly shouted for Miaomiao, waiting for Lin Feng to wake up.
Mo Mo stood nearby, worry etched on her face as she looked at Lin Feng. She wanted to approach but ultimately remained where she was.
At that moment, a beautiful and alluring woman stepped out from the crowd and glanced at Magenta with a mocking smile. "Junior Sister, is this really the one you've chosen?"
"Heard that your master exhausted her lifespan to calculate and search for you on this journey. If she knew that the person she sought with her dwindling years was a short-lived soul, who perished in the first trial of the Jiu Zhou Gathering, how would she feel? Hmph..."
The beautiful and enchanting woman couldn't help but cover her mouth and laugh lightly, clearly enjoying the moment.
Magenta ignored her senior's mockery. In the Red Flower Palace, she had long grown accustomed to such coldness and ridicule.
Ji Meng, the eldest sister of the Red Flower Palace, looked at Magenta's sorrowful expression and approached her, saying, "Junior sister, listen to my advice and give up on this person. Seek someone whose name is inscribed on a monument instead."
With tears in her eyes, Magenta stubbornly replied, "Sister, I believe in our master. I believe in Lin Feng."
"Junior sister, with your temperament, you really shouldn't stay in the Red Flower Palace any longer. Why take things so seriously? Being emotional can lead to lifelong regrets." Ji Meng sighed and ceased her persuasion.
Elder Lin examined Lin Feng's body and sensed a terrifying power radiating from within him. This power protected his internal organs and Eight Extraordinary Meridians, ensuring his survival.
Nearby, Tang Jiner also gazed at Lin Feng. Observing the Golden Armor on him with confusion, she projected a Divine Consciousness and asked, "Mo Mo, why is my Golden Dragon Armor given by Father Emperor on him?"
"This..." Mo Mo was momentarily at a loss for words.
Elder Lin stood up, glaring angrily at the Elder Steward of Qingyun Sect and demanded, "How will Azure Cloud Sect take responsibility for this matter?"
At that moment, Zhu Xi descended from Treading Green Peak. Looking disdainfully at the unconscious Lin Feng on the ground, she remarked, "He's just a disciple of a Nameless Stone Tablet. If he dies, he dies. What’s the big deal? The Zhu Family will bear any consequences."
When Zhu Xi mentioned the Zhu Family, everyone present grew solemn.
The head of the Zhu Family, Zhu Yi, was the foremost Divine General of the Great Zhou Empire. He was highly regarded by the Martial Emperor of the Great Zhou Empire and was considered the top military figure in the empire.
"Ah, so she's the daughter of Zhu God General; no wonder she possesses so many astonishing treasures," someone sighed.
Elder Lin was genuinely intimidated by the name of the Zhu Family. After a brief moment of shock, he retained his anger and said, "Does being a Divine General's daughter grant you permission to disregard rules and harm others at will? Is this what constitutes the Rule of Law in Great Zhou?"
Cold Rain cast a piercing glance at Zhu Xi that made her feel an icy chill that left her breathless. She had no choice but to lower her head.
"Elder Mu, you need to provide everyone with a fair explanation regarding this matter. We must not tarnish our dignity as people of Great Zhou," Cold Rain stated coldly.
“Cold Commander, rest assured, I will handle this fairly,” Elder Mu said with a bitter smile.
“The match isn’t over yet; we can deal with it afterward.”
A sudden voice interrupted, and everyone turned to see the speaker, their expressions filled with surprise.
The person wore Golden Armor, had an unremarkable appearance, but his eyes were like the Void, bright and deep like the most distant star. It was Lin Feng.
Lin Feng looked at the tearful Magenta and smiled gently. “Alright, now that you’ve been roused, you can stop crying, right?”
Magenta let out a small laugh through her tears, feeling shy. “Young Master, you… you…”
Lin Feng scanned the crowd. If it weren’t for the protection of the Golden Armor, even with the Stone Pearl inside him, he would likely struggle to withstand the force of a spiritual weapon and might have been killed.
In that moment of confusion, Lin Feng heard Magenta’s sorrowful cries and felt deeply moved.
He turned his gaze to Mo Mo and saw the worry in her eyes. Lin Feng nodded reassuringly at her, indicating that he was fine. However, Mo Mo looked at him with a complex expression before glancing at Magenta beside him without responding.
Next, Lin Feng’s attention shifted to Tang Jiner. The Tang Jiner he knew was vastly different from the current one. The General had a boldness that rivaled men, while this Tang Jiner exuded a distinctly feminine demeanor.
When Tang Jiner noticed Lin Feng looking at her, her heart raced. She thought to herself: Why does he always seem to be watching me? Why do his eyes feel so familiar and warm? Why is he wearing my Golden Armor? There were too many people around to ask.
Finally, Lin Feng’s gaze landed on Zhu Xi. This woman was arrogant and domineering, treating others' lives as if they were worthless. After killing without a hint of remorse or any other emotion, she was protected by Elder Butler of Azure Cloud Sect during the first trial.
Since no one would stand up for him, he would fight for his own justice with his fists.
“Should we continue fighting?” Lin Feng asked Zhu Xi in a low voice, his eyes cold and ruthless like a lone wolf.
Zhu Xi shivered involuntarily. “You’re still alive?”
Suppressing his anger, Lin Feng remained calm; he never rushed into killing—it was part of his character. He coolly controlled his impulses and turned to Elder Butler. “How will the first trial proceed?”
Seeing that Lin Feng was unharmed brought both surprise and relief to Elder Mu. “The match continues; the winner will advance.”
Yue Huai Shan kept his gaze fixed on Lin Feng. It was already a miracle that this person could still draw a breath, yet he continued to move about energetically in the competition. That was simply impossible. Even with the Golden Armor protecting him, it should not have been feasible.
Cold Rain also sensed something unusual and immediately sent out his Divine Consciousness into Lin Feng's Sea of Consciousness, eager to uncover the truth.
Lin Feng felt dozens of strands of Divine Consciousness crashing against the boundaries of his Sea of Consciousness, attempting to penetrate it. Among them, several strands were particularly domineering, and he found himself unable to resist them. So, Lin Feng decided to let those strands of Divine Consciousness enter.
"Master Da personally sealed the Stone Pearl; what more can you discover?" Lin Feng thought to himself with a cold smile.
Yue Huai Shan and Cold Rain came up empty-handed, exchanging knowing glances at Lin Feng. Each pondered that this individual must be extraordinary. The most likely possibility they considered was that he might truly be a disciple of the Sword Saint.
The competition continued as the crowd dispersed to clear a space. Clad in Golden Armor, Lin Feng appeared even more formidable. The Golden Armor was unlike the defensive treasures worn by Zhu Xi; it possessed terrifying offensive capabilities.
Lin Feng's rare Compatibility Level allowed him to don the Golden Armor as if it were battle attire, maximizing its power and compensating for his shortcomings compared to Zhu Xi at the Foundation level.
Within Lin Feng's body, the Stone Pearl continuously absorbed and expelled Chaotic Energy. As long as the Golden Armor sustained any damage, it would be repaired immediately, greatly enhancing Lin Feng's strength.
Zhu Xi watched Lin Feng, fear rising within her.
The more privileged individuals were, having never experienced true life-and-death battles, the weaker their psychological resilience became. Their pride and arrogance were built upon a fragile mental defense; if an opponent breached that barrier, it would instill a deep-seated fear within them.
At this moment, Zhu Xi understood clearly that Lin Feng was no ordinary Fate Realization Walker. Just from the Golden Armor he wore, one could infer much.
In the Great Zhou Empire, only a select few Divine Generals, including Zhu Xi's father, possessed such astonishing Golden Armor. A young person like Lin Feng owning one could only mean he was favored by the Great Zhou Martial Emperor.
Without hesitation, Zhu Xi activated Azure Cloud Sect's Manifestation of Divine Powers—Azure Cloud Steed Emerges with Horns—preparing to unleash her strongest attack.
All of her Vital Energy surged forth without reservation, coalescing into a towering azure cloud.
Lin Feng stood still. True to his combative nature, he would typically not allow an opponent the chance to cultivate their Divine Technique. However, today he was willing to wait.
"Aren't you so full of yourself? I will defeat you while you are at your strongest."
The manifestation Zhu Xi conjured was far more realistic than Xiao Ran's, approaching a true state of emptiness. The area covered by her illusion was also slightly larger than Xiao Ran's.
The sky above was filled with clouds that rolled and shifted, and then, the white clouds gathered together to form a gigantic white horse.
Unlike the manifestation created by Xiao Ran, this white horse had a Spirit Horn atop its head.
Lin Feng gazed at the horn, feeling the terrifying power it contained, sending a chill down his spine.
The Elder Steward of Qingyun Sect furrowed his brow in confusion. The Azure Cloud Sect's Manifestation of Divine Powers had revealed a crucial hint; the horn was a prelude to their most formidable technique, typically used to deliver an unexpected and devastating blow to their opponent.
At that moment, Zhu Xi had prematurely exposed the might of Azure Cloud Sect's Manifestation of Divine Powers, leaving him perplexed.
Zhu Xi looked at Lin Feng, and deep within his eyes lingered an unshakeable fear. A person who should have been dead was still alive; despite being human, he possessed the cold-blooded gaze of a ferocious beast.
Fear had thrown him into disarray. (To be continued...)
