Yun Xuanyi dismounted swiftly and respectfully bowed, “Father, Shi Bo. Eldest Princess is not seeing you.”
Prince Rong nodded and sighed, “Yes, Eldest Princess has already retired. We plan to wait here until tomorrow morning.”
Yun Xuanyi glanced at the gates of the Princess Residence, paused for a moment, then stepped forward resolutely, saying, “I’ll go and try.”

Yun Qingyu fell silent after hearing this.
The steward thought to himself that since Eldest Princess wouldn’t even see her father and several uncles, how could she possibly see him?
He opened his mouth to say, “Yun Xuanyi is disturbing your rest; I will go tell him to leave.” But Yun Qingyu smiled gently and replied, “Take him to the study and let him wait there.”
Prince Rong is the cousin of the current Emperor and the paternal uncle of Yun Qingyu, making him a rare prince among his peers.
The Rong Prince's Mansion has maintained a low profile for over twenty years, never participating in political strife and remaining wholly loyal to the Emperor.
However, his younger son, Yun Xuanyi, was incited by the Six Princess to commit a grave mistake, suddenly thrusting the usually unassuming Rong Prince's Mansion into turmoil. Yun Xuanyi's demeanor was particularly sincere as he cupped his hands and replied, “I intrude at such a late hour to apologize on behalf of my younger brother and seek a favor from the Eldest Princess. Yun Qingyu walked to the chair and slowly sat down, speaking indifferently, “Hasn’t the Emperor already punished him? One crime should not receive two punishments; this Palace has no interest in punishing him again.”
This statement made Yun Xuanyi uneasy. After a moment of silence, he cupped his hands again and said, “A brother is like a father. Yun Qingyu raised her gaze slightly and replied, “This Palace is not your father; what right do I have to reprimand you? You certainly show great sincerity in your apology.”
Yun Xuanyi felt a chill in his heart. Although he had little interaction with the Eldest Princess, he was aware of the rumors circulating outside.
At this moment, he became even more convinced that those rumors were unreliable, causing him to speak with increasing caution.
Yun Qingyu called out lightly, “Yun Xuanyi, perhaps I should address you as cousin.”
Yun Xuanyi hurriedly replied, "I dare not."
