Su Father stumbled and sat down in a chair, finally waving his hand dismissively.

At this moment, Su Father did not want to see Xu Mu and turned to leave, his back appearing quite lonely as he walked away.

Xu Mu's face was filled with regret as he nodded in agreement. Seeing that it was getting late, Su Mother arranged for Xu Mu to stay in Su Che's courtyard while she went back to persuade Su Father.
Su Che initially wanted to refuse but thought better of it and agreed. Once they were in the courtyard, Xu Mu felt a surge of anger.
Instead of speaking up for him today, Su Che had only added fuel to the fire, which displeased him greatly, leading him to throw a tantrum as soon as they entered the courtyard.
"Cousin, there's no need to help me; I only hurt my face, not my body."
Upon hearing this, Su Che let go of his hand. This action surprised Xu Mu slightly; he felt that Su Che had changed since waking up from his last injury.
He could tell that Su Che was gradually distancing himself from him but had previously thought it was just a minor sulk that could be smoothed over later.
However, today’s behavior from Su Che made him uneasy. Seeing that Su Che offered no explanation and did not try to appease him, Xu Mu spoke again.
"What do you mean, cousin? Just say it directly. You've been distancing yourself these past few days; if you're tired of me or have someone else in mind, I can leave."
Su Che's expression darkened at these words as he turned around and replied,
"What? Aren't those slaps enough for you to understand? Now you're questioning me? If it weren't for Aunty Qing visiting today, I wouldn't have known you’ve been fine without me all along! You say I'm distancing myself—do you want me to act like a rogue who can't recognize his place just so you can humiliate me?"
Su Che's accusations left Xu Mu stunned; he had thought Su Che knew something else but realized it was about his visit to the brothel.
This was indeed something he had kept from Su Che, and coupled with the incident where Su Che got injured for his sake, it had finally pushed him over the edge.
Xu Mu quickly responded,
"Alright, A Che, I was misled by others and acted foolishly; look at me now—I’ve been punished for it! Please forgive me this time; I won’t go to such places again. My heart is only for you; where would I find others?"
"And I'm not like what Aunty Qing said; you know my 'skills' better than anyone else. The reason I acted this way was just not to let those people look down on me; otherwise, how could things have escalated so quickly?"
At this moment, Xu Mu's mind raced quickly as he shifted the blame for the brothel incident onto others, insisting that he had never touched those women at all.
In the brothel, the woman had arms that could cradle a thousand heads and lips that tasted by countless men. He found it filthy and didn't even want to touch her, insisting that he was perfectly capable in that regard.

Su Che waited in a private room on the second floor of an inn along the street where he was supposed to meet Mu Junze. He occasionally glanced out the window and paced back and forth inside.
Xiao Tao, watching from the side, couldn't help but speak up. "Young Master, you came out so early today saying you would meet an important person. But you mentioned it would be at the hour of Si; it's barely been a quarter of an hour since you arrived, and you've already asked about the time three times! It's still only the hour of Chen. Wouldn't it be better for you to take a nap?"
Su Che shook his head, ignoring Xiao Tao's words as he asked himself, "Xiao Tao, what kind of encounter seems less deliberate yet is still stunning? What do you think of Pan Jinlian's approach?"
Xiao Tao chuckled awkwardly. "Young Master, some people are unforgettable at first sight while others could run naked down the street and still not be remembered. Besides, Pan Jinlian was precise; with your aim, you'd hit everyone on the street while leaving your important person unharmed."
After pacing a few more times, Su Che suggested, "What if I accidentally spill tea on him?"
"Young Master," Xiao Tao replied, "this is the second floor! How big of a pot would you need to spill it down there? You might as well stroll downstairs and accidentally bump into someone."
Upon hearing this, Su Che suddenly understood and said it made sense as he headed downstairs. Xiao Tao was alarmed and quickly stopped him.
"Young Master, there are still two hours left! Who wanders around for two hours just waiting to bump into someone? Can you please calm down? After all this talk, you haven't even told me who he is or what he looks like!"
"What was he wearing..."
Su Che paused for a moment, lost in memories of when he first met Mu Junze in his previous life. He could only recall that he had been walking from a distance when a startled horse nearly injured him, and it was Mu Junze who saved him. He remembered that he had been showing something to Xu Mu at the time.
"What was he wearing?"
"Wearing... I forgot."
Xiao Tao felt embarrassed. Why did he even ask? He came here to wait for someone, and now he was left clueless. Ever since his young master woke up after the last injury, Xiao Tao felt that his mind wasn't quite right.
