The old man had already turned to leave, but sensing something unusual behind him, he hurriedly turned back to look. I saw an expression of immense surprise on his face and thought to myself, "Now let's see if you dare to underestimate me." The Void Spirit heard my thoughts and changed its usual disdainful tone, saying, "Don't let your guard down; this old man is not easy to deal with. Focus your mind, or you might lose control of the sword!" 0

Upon hearing this, I immediately adjusted my breathing, held my breath, and concentrated all my attention on the sword. I noticed that the black aura around me was growing stronger as more power flowed into it, gradually contracting towards me. 0

The old man, seeing this, appeared somewhat anxious. He formed a hand seal and chanted a spell to control the Red-Clad Woman to pounce at me, but I had no intention of dodging. As she approached step by step, the black aura had completely shrunk down to my feet. "What is this...?" Just as I was puzzled, the Void Spirit suddenly shouted in my mind, "It's coming!" 0

At that moment, the Red-Clad Woman was almost upon me, nearly colliding with me. She let out a strange cry and opened her mouth to spit out a red spherical object at me. Before I could react, the sphere instantly expanded, attempting to envelop me... 0

"Boom!" With a deafening explosion, the Black Light that had gathered beneath my feet suddenly erupted into a semicircular black shield that rapidly expanded. The moment the red object touched the shield, it was instantly vaporized. 0

The Red-Clad Woman had just reached out to grab me when she too was affected by the Black Light, half of her arm burned away. The old man across from me saw this and quickly chanted a spell to make the Red-Clad Woman retreat. 0

However, the expansion of the Black Light did not stop; even the surrounding buildings were gradually being consumed. "If this continues, something big will happen!" I worried that this thing would grow endlessly and might endanger Hu Fang and Li Zhisheng. I couldn't help but feel a bit tense. 0

The Void Spirit noticed my concern and said, "Now is not the time to worry about that; look..." I looked ahead and saw that the old man had somehow pinched a talisman in his hand. He bit his finger and used his blood to scribble chaotic symbols on the paper before bending down and forcefully pressing it against the ground. 0

At that moment he pressed it down, the ground trembled violently, and countless arms emerged from the muddy earth. My heart sank in shock—"So it's true that Taoists can control Zombies!" 0

"Hmph—just a trivial trick," the Void Spirit remarked as it controlled my body to lift the sword. As my hand moved, the black shield was instantly drawn back into the sword, and I immediately felt my arm become incredibly light. Looking closely, I discovered that a Red Dragon slightly thinner than my arm was coiling around it. 0

But the Void Spirit paid no attention to what was happening with the sword. It raised my hand and swept it forcefully; a flash of Black Light swept through, causing those flailing arms on the ground to vanish without a trace. It turned out that they were merely an illusion created by that old Taoist. 0

Seeing that I had dispelled his spell so quickly, the old Taoist was astonished but then pulled out another talisman from behind him. This time it seemed pre-written; he was preparing to use it when I immediately raised my sword above my head and slashed downward. 0

As my sword fell, a Black Light flashed across his shoulder, causing his arm holding the talisman to drop to the ground. He let out a scream while clutching his severed arm and stumbled back in terror, shouting, "Who... who are you?!" 0

I didn't answer him; instead, I darkened my expression and stepped closer. The old Taoist was shaken by my previous strike and was now panicking. He tried to control the Red-Clad Woman to block me but never expected that when she charged at me, the Void Spirit showed no hesitation at all—it raised my hand and struck her in half. 0

"What are you doing?! She's a living person!" I shouted in my mind at the Void Spirit. But it coldly replied, "A living person? She has long been dead—killed by this Demon Sorcerer in front of you!" 0

As it spoke, it controlled my body to raise my hand again for another strike at the old Taoist. However, at that moment he seemed to go mad with laughter as he picked up the talisman from the ground and pressed it against his forehead. 0

In that instant, I sensed a hint of fear from the Void Spirit; it controlled my body to retreat several steps as if trying to avoid something. After backing away for over ten meters, it suddenly looked up at the sky. 0

Above us loomed dark clouds swirling violently in the wind; within those clouds seemed to be something continuously writhing. Upon closer inspection, my heart tightened—this wasn't just any cloud; it was composed of a massive swarm of Evil Spirits forming a ghostly cloud. 0

"The Demon Sorcerer has gone mad, trying to make himself a Soul Guide! We can't let him succeed!" Before I could react, the Void Spirit took control of my body and leaped into the air. At the same time, I gripped Jiang Ling tightly, twisting my body sharply. A Black Light shot forth from the blade, and as I spun, it quickly formed a massive vortex. 0

Wherever the Black Light passed, Evil Spirits were cleaved apart, their souls scattering. But there were simply too many of them to eliminate completely, and the remaining Evil Spirits surged toward the old priest like a returning swarm of bees. 0

I thought to myself, "Is the Soul Guide just a vessel for these spirits to merge within?!" "Did you just realize that?" the Void Spirit replied in a slightly weary voice. 0

Due to the excessive power released in this strike, I could feel my body growing weaker. The red light emanating from You Long on my right arm was also slowly fading. 0

"Why don't you just kill that old priest first? Why go through all this trouble to deal with these spirits?" I questioned the Void Spirit in my mind. It responded, "Can't you see he's already stuck a talisman on his forehead? Once that thing is on, he can't be killed! The more spirits that enter his body, the stronger he becomes. For now, we can only try to weaken his power..." 0

At that moment, all the remaining spirits had entered the old priest's body. I had no time to think about anything else; I kept swinging my sword in midair, sending wave after wave of Black Light toward him. 0

But the old priest didn't dodge. He stood there with his head tilted back, staring blankly at me. Just as the Black Light was about to hit him, a hand shot out from his mouth. Then with a loud bang, his body exploded into a cloud of Blood Mist. 0

"Is he dead?" I asked as I landed back on the ground, confused. But this time, the Void Spirit ignored me entirely and took up a defensive stance, ready to counterattack. 0

Before long, a strong wind blew away the Blood Mist, but the thick stench of blood still lingered in the air. 0

Suddenly, from within the dissipating Blood Mist emerged a figure. The being was several feet taller than me; its features were obscured by darkness. As it drew closer, I realized it wasn't even human. Its oval head was covered in blood-red eyes, each pupil sprouting countless sharp spikes. 0

The Void Spirit seemed taken aback by this sight and momentarily lost its composure. The creature with an eye-covered head flew forward and delivered a powerful kick to my waist. I let out a grunt and was sent flying. 0

Fortunately, the Void Spirit reacted quickly; I adjusted my balance mid-air and landed on the wall with my feet. Using momentum, I pushed off hard and charged at the creature while gripping my sword tightly, aiming for its chest and stabbing deeply into it. 0

However, due to my excessive force, I didn't stop after piercing through; instead, I carried the creature along with me and pinned it against the wall. 0

Yet that creature seemed utterly unfazed by any pain; it swung its fist at me. Just as I regained my footing and had no time to defend myself, I released Jiang Ling and jumped back several steps to evade its attack. 0

But as soon as Jiang Ling left my grasp, the lightness from You Long vanished instantly. It was then that I truly felt fatigue wash over me; even my left shoulder—previously injured by that Red-Clad Woman—throbbed painfully. 0

The creature missed its strike and pulled out the sword lodged in its chest before wildly charging at me. "The sword is gone! What do I do now?!" I anxiously asked the Void Spirit in my mind. "We can retrieve it later; it's just that the power infused in it has dissipated completely. And what little power I have left is dwindling..." 0

At that moment, the creature closed in on me. Suddenly, I felt the Void Spirit release its energy from my hand just as it touched the creature's chest again. In an instant, it reinfused power into my palm and pushed forward forcefully; the creature was sent reeling backward. Following that, I struck its arm holding the sword with my elbow hard enough to send it flying away effortlessly. 0

I leaped to catch the sword mid-air but felt its weight increase significantly. "As expected," I thought grimly; "the moment it's out of my grasp, its power vanishes completely. Now there's only one way left: I'll pour all remaining strength into this sword while leaving just enough to stay awake... From here on out, this battle will have to be fought by you..." 0

"However..." Before I could finish my sentence, I felt a surge of power from the sword again, and my arms became light. 0

I moved my arms; indeed, I was now in control of my own body. 0

The monster had been knocked back several meters by my previous strike. Before it could regain its footing, I held the sword in one hand and slashed upward. The Black Light flew along the ground, instantly carving a trench into the earth. 0

The Black Light swept up the sand and stones as it rushed toward the monster's face, splitting it in two in an instant. The severed monster immediately began to topple to either side... 0

Before it even hit the ground, hands emerged from the cut, pulling and stitching itself back together. Seeing this, I cursed inwardly, "Damn it, it can still do that! Let's see if I can chop you into pieces and if you can recover..." 0

With that thought, I wildly swung my sword, sending arcs of Black Light leaping from the tip... In no time, the monster was reduced to chunks of flesh. I panted heavily and muttered to myself, "This has to be the end..." 0

Before I could finish speaking, countless thread-like appendages shot out from the meat piles on the ground, quickly connecting with adjacent pieces and gradually standing up. Due to their haphazard assembly, they resembled a pile of rotten meat standing before me... 0
