Hearing Li Zhisheng's question, I was momentarily at a loss for words. All I knew was that when I used Jiang Ling, I just needed to concentrate and channel my energy into the sword.
After a moment of thought, I replied, "If this bow is similar to my Jiang Ling, then I just need to awaken the Void Spirit and guide the power it generates into the weapon... but you don't have a Void Spirit with you. I'm not sure if the power of Soul Burial can drive the weapon; it might be too dangerous."

Seeing his resolve, I didn't stop him any longer. "So what do you plan to do?" I asked.
"I observed earlier that all those Evil Spirits that flew out share a common trait... they all lack eyes, while the Cylinder is filled with numerous eyeballs... If I'm not mistaken, those Evil Spirits are all being controlled by that Cylinder."
Upon hearing this, I understood what Li Zhisheng was getting at and interjected, "You mean that as long as we attack from a position where the Cylinder can't see us, we might avoid the Evil Spirits' interference? The only way is to strike from a distance!"
"Not just that; the attack must also use the power of souls. If we were to inject blood like Yao Long and turn it into arrows... even exhausting all our blood wouldn't be enough to destroy that Demonic Mark."
"But if we use the power of souls, won't those Evil Spirits absorb it? Even from a distance, it seems pointless... And look..." I pointed outside, where a large number of Evil Spirits surrounded the towering Cylinder tightly.
"It seems that if we get too far away, it will recall the Evil Spirits to protect itself... It looks like it doesn't intend to confront us directly but wants to trap us here."
Li Zhisheng nodded in agreement. "Yes, I thought of that too. So we need a plan..."

With that, Li Zhisheng whispered a few instructions in my ear and reminded me to stay focused. Understanding his intent, I patted his shoulder reassuringly. "Don't worry; I'll be fine."
Afterward, I forced a smile to ease his worries. However, when I turned to look at Yao Long and Death Apostle leaning against the elevator, my smile instantly vanished.
Death Apostle was still in a coma, whether due to the absorption of his soul or Li Zhisheng's kick was unclear. Meanwhile, Yao Long was barely holding on to consciousness due to excessive blood loss. If we didn't leave this place soon, both of their lives would be in danger.
Thinking this, I nudged Li Zhisheng, saying, "Let's go, we need to make this quick..."
We ran towards the towering Cylinder. The wails of the Evil Spirit echoed in the air, growing louder as we approached, ringing painfully in my ears.
At that moment, Li Zhisheng tugged at my shirt. I understood his intent and quickly stopped, but he darted behind a nearby tree for cover.
Standing beneath the Cylinder, I looked up. The surrounding Evil Spirit had completely enveloped the massive eye, and through their translucent forms, I could see that the eye was closed, seemingly unaware of my presence.
Suddenly, a head-sized Black Sphere shot from behind me, trailing a stream of black mist towards the Evil Spirit. Realizing what was happening, I quickly assumed an attack stance.
With a muffled "bang," the Black Sphere exploded upon contact with the Evil Spirit.
The enormous eye snapped open as if startled, and thousands of smaller eyes turned towards my position.
Just then, another Black Sphere flew past my arm and detonated once more among the swarm of Evil Spirit.
The Cylinder seemed to sense hostility; countless eyeballs emitted waves of Killing Intent, sending chills down my spine.
At the same time, the swirling Evil Spirit in the air suddenly surged towards me like an enraged swarm of bees as if they had received some command.
Seeing this, I dared not hesitate any longer and took off running without a second thought.
I had hoped to buy some time, but those Evil Spirit were flying much faster than I anticipated. Just twenty steps into my escape, those Evil Spirit, covered in mouths, were already closing in behind me, forming a massive cloud of darkness at my back.
Despite pushing myself to the limit, I couldn't shake them off.
At that moment, I felt like an ant on a hot pan—frantic and desperate. I thought to myself, “Li Zhisheng, hurry up! At this rate, I'm going to be turned into mush!”
Glancing back, I noticed that there were almost no Evil Spirit left protecting the giant eye; it was now exposed and wide open.
Seeing my chance, I couldn't care less whether Li Zhisheng heard me or not. I shouted at the top of my lungs: “Li Zhisheng! Now's our chance!”
As soon as the words left my mouth, I felt a powerful force gathering behind me, coalescing at an incredible speed into a single point. The pressure from this force was far greater than anything Li Zhisheng had used before, almost palpable in its intensity.
At the same time, I noticed that the Evil Spirits behind me had ceased their pursuit. It was as if the Giant Eye sensed danger and summoned all the Evil Spirits back, attempting to rebuild its defenses.
I stopped in my tracks and turned to look in Li Zhisheng's direction. He had already leaped into the air, the string of his Azure Spirit bow drawn taut. A pitch-black arrow rested on the string, radiating an incomprehensible darkness at its tip, as if it were ready to devour everything in its path.
But just as Li Zhisheng infused power into the arrow, some of the Evil Spirits had returned to the side of the Giant Eye. I shouted anxiously, "Let it go!"
It was as if Li Zhisheng heard my voice; he suddenly released his grip on the bowstring. The dark arrow shot through the air, leaving a straight black line before it plunged into the heart of the Giant Eye.
I stared in shock at the immobile mass of Evil Spirits and the Giant Eye, muttering to myself, "Could it be... did it fail? Was this power absorbed?!"
Just as I was lost in thought, those airborne Evil Spirits froze mid-flight, as if time itself had come to a standstill.
Suddenly, a flickering black dot appeared at the center of the Cylinder. It blinked several times before erupting into a massive Black Sphere, engulfing the entire cylinder. From its top, bottom, and sides, four jet-black beams shot out.
A sense of dread washed over me. "Could it be that Li Zhisheng poured all his power into that?!" With that thought, I felt an overwhelming pressure enveloping me, forcing me down onto the ground, immobilizing me.
"No..." I barely managed to think before the word could escape my lips. The Black Sphere surged violently, consuming everything in an instant...
I lost track of time before finally regaining consciousness. Pain coursed through my body as if every bone had been shattered.
"Am I still alive?" I wondered aloud as I pushed away the dirt covering me and struggled to rise from the ground.
As soon as I stood up, I was stunned by what lay before me. The forest that once surrounded me had vanished, replaced by an endless wasteland. The trees and that enormous Cylinder seemed to have evaporated in an instant during the explosion.
I discarded my tattered clothes and checked my body. "Looks like the Void Spirit shielded me from that deadly attack..." I glanced at the mark on my hand; it was creeping up toward my neck...
But there was no time to dwell on that now. I quickly scanned my surroundings while calling out for Li Zhisheng.
After shouting a few times, I heard a faint voice from afar say, "I... I'm here..."
Following the sound, I saw Li Zhisheng lying on his back on the ground, weakly waving his hand. Relief flooded over me knowing he was still alive. I hurried over to him and bent down with a smile, saying, "Well done! To unleash such power with this weapon on your first try—looks like Soul Burial truly lives up to its name."
Li Zhisheng let out a bitter laugh and said, "It's not the merit of Soul Burial; it's this weapon..." He coughed several times, looking extremely fatigued.
I helped him sit up. "What about this weapon?" I asked, somewhat confused.
He explained, "That's right, it's this weapon. When I first got it, I had no idea how to activate it. It wasn't until I attacked using the power of Soul Burial that the weapon activated on its own. But after activation, it was completely different from yours. While it slowly absorbed blood, it rapidly drained the power of Soul Burial from my body... Oh, no..."
He paused for a moment, thought for a bit, and continued, "It shouldn't be called absorption; rather, it pulled all the power of Soul Burial into the weapon. Otherwise, I wouldn't have been able to unleash such powerful strength. With my current abilities, the power I can wield is even less than half of what I just used..."
After that, Li Zhisheng looked around anxiously and said, "By the way! What happened to the Death Apostles?"
Hearing him mention them made me suddenly recall their presence as I scanned the surroundings.
At that moment, I caught sight of a silver rectangular object in the distance, shining brilliantly in the fading light of the sunset...
