"Should we go take a look?" Li Zhisheng asked, puzzled. 0

At that moment, since I had not awakened the power of the Void Spirit, I couldn't see the faces of those ghosts clearly, nor could I determine if they harbored any hostility. All I could feel was a chilling wind blowing out from the mine. "Can you sense whether those ghosts are hostile?" I inquired. 0

Li Zhisheng scrutinized the area carefully. "I can't tell for sure. I can only sense that their Grievance is heavy and they possess a strong Yin Qi. Perhaps it's due to their sheer numbers... They are still continuously drifting out; there are at least ninety of them, if not a hundred..." 0

After hearing this, I checked the time on my phone. It was already 10:15 PM. Given the time, it would be quick to investigate, but I was unsure about the potential dangers. 0

Thinking this over, I hesitated. However, the Death Apostle said, "Let's go. We've already been infected; there's nothing left to fear. At least by checking it out, we can understand what that boss meant by 'impossible to enter'..." 0

I realized he was right; lingering here wasn't a solution. It was better to find out more. 0

"Alright, let's go take a look. But Li Zhisheng, stay alert. If there's any danger, we'll need you. My Jiang Ling is still at the hotel; I didn't bring it with me..." 0

Li Zhisheng nodded in agreement. He instantly became serious, and a dark aura began to rise subtly from his palm, swirling around his arm. In the darkness, without my phone's light, I wouldn't have been able to see that faintly visible black mist. 0

"Okay, let's move..." Li Zhisheng said. 0

I led the way down the mountain path into the stream below. The mine was now right in front of us. "It looks like just an ordinary mine; there's nothing unusual about it..." I held my phone up to illuminate the dark entrance. At that moment, a gust of cold wind swept past me, adding to the chill of winter that already surrounded me. 0

"Be careful; those Vengeful Spirits are right beside us..." Li Zhisheng whispered closely behind me. 0

I replied, "That cold aura, accompanied by their terrifying Grievance—I'm aware of it even without you telling me." With that thought in mind, I cautiously moved toward the mine entrance. 0

As I drew closer to the mine, the chilling Grievance intensified, nearly overwhelming my own mind. It felt as if a voice echoed in my head, revealing all the sins and evils of this world. 0

"Focus, don't let these Vengeful Spirits disturb your mind..." I intended to remind the two behind me, but when I turned around, I found that only Li Zhisheng was still following me. The Death Apostle had stopped several paces behind. 0

"Death Apostle, what's wrong?!" I quickly shone my phone's light toward him, only to see his vacant eyes and dazed expression, his mouth moving as if he were mumbling something. 0

Seeing this, I cursed under my breath, realizing that the Death Apostle might be affected by the surrounding Vengeful Spirits. If this continued, who knew what he might do? 0

My heart tightened at the thought, and I hurriedly quickened my pace toward the Death Apostle. Li Zhisheng followed behind and asked, "What's wrong with Death Apostle?" I couldn't spare a moment to explain; I just took long strides forward... 0

But to my surprise, what seemed like just a few steps turned into nearly twenty without me reaching the Death Apostle. Instead, I was moving further away from him. Panic set in as my hurried steps turned into a run and then escalated into a frantic sprint. 0

No matter how hard I tried to reach the Death Apostle, I couldn't get any closer. At that moment, Li Zhisheng, who had been closely trailing me, began to feel anxious too. He looked around and exclaimed, "Shen Xu! This isn't right; we’re not getting closer to him at all! It feels like we're moving backward! Is this what the shopkeeper meant about being unable to enter the Mine?!" 0

I gasped for breath as I ran. "It seems so; this place must be under some kind of spell or something like a Ghost Wall..." 0

Upon hearing this, Li Zhisheng could no longer contain himself. He halted and grabbed my arm while gathering a Black Sphere in his hand. "If it's a Ghost Wall, then I'll just eliminate all these spirits!" 0

He then hurled the dark energy sphere toward the mine entrance. A loud explosion followed as dust and debris flew everywhere. 0

"We still don't know what’s going on in that mine! Acting recklessly like this could trigger an even greater disaster!" I scolded him. 0

Li Zhisheng formed another Black Sphere in his hand without looking back. "If our opponent were human, we might think of a strategy. But now we're facing a horde of Vengeful Spirits! If we don't take action, do you plan to reason with them?!" With that, he unleashed another Black Sphere, which detonated with a loud bang amidst the swirling smoke, instantly dispersing it and sending dust flying once more. 0

As Li Zhisheng's two attacks landed, the chilling sensation around me suddenly lessened, but the Death Apostle remained standing still, unmoving. 0

"But even if we attack, it might not save the Death Apostle! Look, he's still standing there!" I exclaimed, grabbing his hand as he prepared to launch a third Black Sphere. 0

The Death Apostle frowned and turned to me. "Do you see what time it is? If we don't hurry, it might be too late! We could end up dead here! This time, our enemy is different from before; previously, we faced Evil Spirits and Raksashas that we could confront directly. Now, we must conquer the demons lurking within our hearts. Do you understand?!" 0

Having known Li Zhisheng for some time, this was the first time I had seen him speak to me like this, which made me realize the seriousness of the situation. I steadied myself and glanced at my phone; it was already eleven o'clock at night. Though I felt anxious, I tried to suppress my inner turmoil and said to him, "There's no point in panicking now. Let's calm down and analyze our current situation..." 0

Just as I released my grip on him, I suddenly slipped and lost my balance, falling sideways. The suddenness of it caught me off guard, and with a thud, I hit the ground. My elbow and knee seemed to collide with something hard, sending a jolt of pain through me. 0

After a moment, I managed to recover. It was then that I was horrified to discover a pile of eerie white bones in front of me. A decayed skull lay just a few feet away, and from its hollow eye sockets, some carrion insects were crawling in and out... 0
