"Yes, yes, you controlled Yao Long?!" I struggled to get up, but a hand pressed down on my back, rendering me powerless to stand. 0

"That's right, it was me..." The grotesque face before me explained, yellow-green liquid oozing from its cracked lips. It seemed that long-term exposure to Gu Poison had turned her body into a vessel of malice. 0

"I had no intention of involving you; I could have let you go. But now that you've chosen to stand in my way, don't blame me for being ruthless..." With that, the Old Hag raised her Scorpion Tail, aiming the poisoned stinger at my head and lunging forward. 0

Just as the deadly strike was about to land, a woman's voice suddenly rang out from a distance, "Aren't you looking for me?! Come at me! Don't harm the innocent!" 0

As the shout echoed, the massive pincers halted just inches from my face. 0

"Oh? You finally decided to show yourself..." The Old Hag retracted her Scorpion Tail, rising with a hint of delight. 0

Seizing the opportunity, I got to my feet and quickly backed away to Yao Long's side. His skin had turned completely black and purple. Touching his exposed skin, I felt an unnatural stiffness and bone-chilling coldness—he was like a corpse. 0

"Yao, Yao Long..." I stared in shock at this zombie-like figure of Yao Long, shaking his shoulders vigorously in an attempt to wake him up, my heart filled with rage towards the Old Hag. 0

At that moment, the woman's voice came again from afar, "It's useless; he's been poisoned by Gu Poison. You won't be able to bring him back like this." 0

Hearing that she couldn't help Yao Long, I realized he must still be alive and could be saved. With that thought in mind, I quickly glanced toward the source of the voice. 0

At that moment, a flash of lightning illuminated the darkness ahead. I then noticed several bodies sprawled across the ground in disarray, and among them stood an Old Woman holding a staff. However, her staff was not the exclusive one of the Yang Master; from a distance, it appeared to be an ordinary wooden cane. 0

Just as I was observing her, before I could see clearly, the light from the lightning faded, and the Old Woman vanished back into the shadows. 0

"If only you had told me sooner about the method to refine the Worm King, would I have gone through all this trouble? Now that I've found the Worm King, you want to stop me..." The Old Hag let out a long howl: "Fine then, since you've shown up now, I'll let you see what I've accomplished over all these years!" 0

The Old Hag howled as she soared into the air, raising her Scorpion Tail behind her and spewing a cloud of poisonous smoke into the darkness. 0

I stood frozen, momentarily bewildered by the sudden turn of events. But then I realized that these two seemed to be at odds with each other, and judging by the presence of the Old Woman in the shadows, Yao Long might still have a chance… 0

With that thought, I tightened my grip on Jiang Ling and swung my sword in the direction the Old Hag had flown, hoping to hinder her with a Slash Mark. I muttered to myself, "As they say, the enemy of my enemy is my friend. No matter what, I need to deal with this monster first…" With that, I leaped into the air, following closely behind my Slash Mark as I pursued the Old Hag. 0

At that moment, dark clouds obscured the moon, and a fierce wind howled. The candles that had once illuminated the doorways around me were extinguished by the gusts, and heavy rain was about to fall. 0

In the darkness, I could hear chaotic footsteps and the sounds of bodies colliding, but I couldn't see what was happening at all. 0

Panic began to set in as I found myself unsure of where to attack. Just then, the Void Spirit within me spoke up: "Have you forgotten what you saw in your dreams?! Focus and look!" 0

Upon hearing this, I suddenly recalled how I had used my senses to locate my enemies in that dream. Without responding to the Void Spirit, I took a deep breath to calm myself and slowly closed my eyes, attempting to sense where my enemies were. 0

However, as soon as I shut my eyes, a heavy sensation washed over me; an overwhelming drowsiness struck me, and I felt my consciousness beginning to fade. "No, no! In this state, I can't let myself fall asleep…" Fearing that I might doze off, I quickly opened my eyes and shook my head vigorously. 0

At that moment, the sounds of battle grew closer. Suddenly, I felt a rush of wind coming from my right side. Instinctively, I tried to dodge it, but without knowing exactly where the attack would come from or what it was, I had no way to evade it and was struck directly. 0

With a loud thud, something collided with my right arm and sent me flying sideways. 0

In a flurry of confusion, I raised my sword to strike at whatever had hit me. But just as I lifted Jiang Ling, a cold and slender limb wrapped tightly around my neck. At the same time, I heard the Old Hag's raspy voice whispering in my ear: "Don't come any closer! If you take another step forward, I'll kill him!" 0

I felt something sharp pressing against my temple. It dawned on me that the Old Hag was losing against her opponent and was trying to use me as leverage against the Old Woman. But she had chosen the wrong person! 0

Thinking quickly, I swiftly reversed my grip on Jiang Ling and thrust the blade from my waist towards the back. With all my strength, I infused a large amount of Void Spirit power into the sword and drove it directly into the Old Hag's body. 0

The moment Jiang Ling pierced her, I felt as if countless Insects had burrowed into my body, gnawing at me incessantly. The Old Hag let out a painful wail and immediately released the scorpion tail that had been wrapped around my neck. 0

"Sin can be forgiven, but self-inflicted wounds cannot be survived!" I roared, enduring the sensation of millions of Insects biting at me. Taking advantage of the Old Hag not having moved away yet, I turned and swung Jiang Ling fiercely. 0

With a dull thud, I knew the sword had definitely struck her Scorpion Tail. Due to the force of my swing, the grip of Jiang Ling shattered my palm, blood streaming down my arm. But I did not stop; instead, I poured all the remaining Void Spirit power into Jiang Ling. 0

Then came a heart-wrenching scream, followed by a thick, foul-smelling liquid splattering across my face. Moments later, there were two heavy thuds as it seemed both the Old Hag's head and body collapsed to the ground simultaneously. 0

As her corpse fell, the Void Spirit within me began to fade away as its power was completely exhausted. 0

"You fool! You'll die like this! I went through so much trouble to help you absorb the attack and save your life, and now you're just throwing it away..." The Void Spirit roared in anger as it was about to vanish from my body. 0
