Just as I was feeling uneasy, Hu Fang and Li Zhisheng walked in from outside carrying breakfast. After everyone had eaten, we discussed our next plan and decided to take turns looking after Yao Long. This was both to guard against Yang Master and to help Yao Long recover as quickly as possible.
Meanwhile, the others began preparing for the upcoming battle based on the information that Haoyang and Yao Long had brought back.
As the days passed, Yao Long slowly started to improve. Although he had not fully regained his previous strength, he at least had enough power to fight.
That afternoon, I was at home looking at the talisman papers that Haoyang had somehow acquired and asked, "Where did you get these? How did you manage to gather so many?"
At that moment, Haoyang was holding a fist-sized cloth bag, stuffing some black wooden blocks and talisman papers into his backpack. Then I glanced back at Yao Long, who had just been discharged from the hospital. He was sharpening some thin wooden sticks with a knife and carefully carving grooves into them. Afterward, he poured some white powdery substance into the grooves and sealed it with black tape.
"What are you making, Yao Long?" I asked curiously.
"Arrows," Yao Long replied without looking up.
Seeing him so focused, I decided not to disturb him further and walked into another room to see what Li Zhisheng and Hu Fang were doing.
Hu Fang was sitting alone in the room, drawing on the computer without knowing what else to do but afraid of interrupting others' preparations.
As for Li Zhisheng, he was engrossed in flipping through his ancient books, seemingly searching for something beneficial for us.
While I was watching Li Zhisheng, Death Apostle approached me with a smile and patted my shoulder. "Looks like it's just the two of us with nothing to do."
I sighed and said, "Yeah, right now I'm just waiting patiently for Li Yu's arrival. I have no idea what else to prepare or how I can help."
"Aren't you already doing what you should? Didn't you go scout Yang Master's base with Yao Long yesterday?" Death Apostle comforted me.
"Yes, we went, but we found nothing. Yang Master's base is located five kilometers outside the city on a steep mountain. Their stronghold is built inside a cave. With my abilities, sneaking in would be nearly impossible. We only took a look at the terrain nearby before coming back."
"That's enough. Right now, you are our main combat force, so understanding the terrain is very important."
"Main combat force? I don't think so..." I rolled up my sleeve to show the Death Apostle the mark on my arm, which was dangerously close to becoming a problem. Li Zhisheng and Yao Long had witnessed what I looked like when using Hatred, so even if I didn't want them to, they understood the danger involved.
After giving my instructions, it was getting darker outside. "I'll go prepare dinner now. Is there anything you want to eat?" Yao Long and Haoyang were focused on their own tasks and didn't hear Hu Fang's question at all, while Li Zhisheng inside showed no response either, seemingly lost in his books.
Seeing no one respond, Hu Fang turned his gaze toward me and the Death Apostle, who were idly standing by.

"Sure." I agreed and followed him into the kitchen to assist Hu Fang.
Just as we started getting busy, a heavy knocking sound came from outside—"Bang bang bang, bang bang bang!"
"I'll go open the door." With that, I set down what I was working on and ran to the door. When I opened it, I saw Li Yu standing there in a black embroidered gold long robe. The golden dragons intricately stitched onto his garment looked lifelike and exuded an imposing aura.
"Li Bo, you've arrived," I said quickly, ushering him inside.
Once Li Yu entered the room, he glanced at the busy crowd and asked me, "How's the preparation going?"
"As you can see, everyone is quite busy. But you're just in time; we were about to start cooking. Let's have a meal together," I replied with a smile.
However, Li Yu's face bore no trace of a smile. He said seriously, "You should know why I'm here to see you now, right?"
"Yes," I replied, putting away my smile. "When do we depart?"
"In two hours, Yang Master will take action. At that time, they will mobilize a large number of people to find me. This will significantly reduce the number of personnel at the location you previously investigated. You can take advantage of this opportunity to lure out the remaining combatants inside and capture them all. When their reinforcements return, we will eliminate them as well."
