Upon hearing this, I was extremely confused, but knowing he wouldn't elaborate further, I decided not to press the matter.
Just then, a beam of yellow light descended straight down behind Li Yu. "You, how could you?!" The old man landed and was left dumbfounded at the sight of Li Yu, his expression betraying a hint of panic.
Li Yu let out a cold snort and turned around. "Wasn't I before? Did you think I spent these decades hiding just to avoid Yang Master? Today, I'll let you see for yourself!"
With that, Li Yu suddenly vanished from my sight and reappeared behind the White-Haired Old Man. Without hesitation, he kicked out, catching the old man off guard and sending him flying.
Seeing the old man propelled away by his strike, Li Yu wasted no time and pursued him. Before the old man could land, Li Yu appeared beside him, grabbed his neck, and shouted as he forcefully slammed him to the ground.
There was a dull thud as the ground cracked under Li Yu's immense strength, creating a deep pit.
At this point, the old man was thoroughly panicked. He gathered his strength in his hands and shouted as he swung wildly at Li Yu. Unfazed, Li Yu merely tilted his head slightly to evade the attack.
"Do you still not understand? The gap between us is already too vast!" With that, Li Yu freed one hand and clenched his fist, bringing it down towards the old man pinned on the ground.
From a distance, while I couldn't gauge the full extent of Li Yu's power at that moment, I knew that with such a situation unfolding, that punch would either kill or severely injure the old man.
Li Yu's fist surged with a powerful wind, as if it carried the weight of a thousand pounds—completely unstoppable. Despair flickered across the old man's face.
But just then, I heard hurried footsteps from afar. Looking over, I saw a group of figures surrounded by red flames rushing towards Li Yu.
The leader of this group sensed the danger and unleashed Void Spirit in an instant, darting to Li Yu's side just as he was about to strike down on the old man. He raised his leg and kicked at Li Yu's descending fist.
Li Yu was taken aback; the power he had gathered in his punch seemed to dissipate slightly as it was blocked by Yang Master's kick.
"Who are you?!" Li Yu exclaimed in surprise as he quickly sprang up and retreated several steps away from the old man.
Yang Master had no intention of answering Li Yu. Instead, he helped Fan to his feet and asked, "Are you injured?"
Fan, still shaken, gasped, "No, I'm fine. Li Yu, he's not the same as before."
Hearing this, Yang Master raised his eyes and fixed a wary gaze on Li Yu in front of him.
"Oh? It's you. I thought it was someone else. I didn't expect you to still be alive..." Li Yu said to Yang Master.
"That battle years ago did leave me quite wounded, but I'm not someone who dies easily. Today, upon learning that you are still alive, I intended to seek revenge. I didn't expect you to come right to me. Very well, let's settle this today!" Yang Master declared, suddenly turning fierce. Orange lightning crackled around him like flames, intertwining with the golden lightning emanating from Fan.
"Could he also be a Void God?! Is that why Li Yu wanted to draw out some people? Because he knew there were two Void Gods here?!" I muttered to myself, recalling the Void Spirit within me and the fact that there were indeed two Void Gods present.
At that moment, Li Zhisheng, standing nearby, heard my words but had lost the confidence he had moments ago. He looked worried, clearly concerned for his father's safety.
"Even if Li Yu is strong, he can't withstand two Void Gods working together..." Death Apostle murmured beside me. I could feel his body trembling through the fabric of his sleeve pressed against mine.
Yet Li Yu remained unfazed. Calmly, he said, "I suspected this would happen. Let me tell you, I came here today with no intention of leaving alive!" With that, Li Yu suddenly shouted, "Fiery Annihilation!"
As soon as the words left his mouth, the sky above us changed color dramatically. A dazzling white dragon appeared in an instant, swirling in the air and radiating brilliant light.
Seeing this, Fan and the other Void God appeared somewhat intimidated; they took a half step back and exchanged glances as if they had made up their minds.
But just then, the dragon let out a thunderous roar that echoed through the skies. The immense shockwave caused the ground to tremble violently, and the surrounding mountains rumbled in response. A massive rock tumbled down from Mountain due to the vibrations.
The onlookers were stunned; they had never witnessed such a spectacle before and were left dumbfounded. "Li Zhisheng, what is your dad planning?! Is he going to take us down with him?!" I said while bracing myself against a nearby boulder to steady my footing as I spoke to Li Zhisheng.
Li Zhisheng looked utterly bewildered. "I've only seen this kind of technique in the books. Who would have thought my father could actually use something like this? He never demonstrated it to me! Based on the power of this move, if it really is as strong as he says, everything around here will likely be reduced to rubble!"
"Should we run?!" Death Apostle exclaimed, hurriedly pulling the fallen Yao Long back up.
"Running won't help. If this really has the kind of power Li Zhisheng mentioned, given our current physical condition, even if we had an hour, we probably wouldn't be able to escape. And right now, that giant dragon is about to come crashing down!" I said, my eyes fixed on the massive dragon that was descending towards Fan and Yang Master.
At this moment, Fan had already exhausted a significant amount of energy from the earlier struggle. Coupled with his advanced age, even if he had great abilities, his body might not hold up.
Yang Master, who had just joined the battle, seemed to understand that bracing for this attack was likely a death sentence. Nevertheless, he unleashed all the Void Spirit energy within him and visibly concentrated most of his power in his palm, determined to withstand this devastating blow.
The giant dragon spiraled downwards, its enormous maw wide open as if it intended to devour everything in its path as it lunged toward Yang Master.
Yang Master shouted fiercely, "This time, even if I have to risk my life, I will absolutely not lose to you!"
