As Hu Fang spoke, a blurry image of a face gradually appeared on the television screen. Although it was recognizable as a human face, the features were still too indistinct to make out clearly. 0

"It looks like we won't need to buy a new TV after all; maybe it'll be fine soon," Hu Fang said cheerfully, her expression clearly indicating that she had fixed the television. 0

However, Yao Long suddenly grabbed the Azure Spirit in his hand and said sternly, "I'm afraid this TV will never be fixed..." 0

At that moment, Li Zhisheng, who had just come out of the bathroom, caught sight of Yao Long glaring at the television in disbelief. "Yao Long, what's wrong? This TV..." Before he could finish his sentence, Li Zhisheng raised a slender Black Sphere in his hand and aimed it at the television. 0

Realizing that things were getting serious, I rushed over to snatch the remote control from Hu Fang's hands. Just as I took a step forward, I tripped over something unknown and nearly fell. 0

Seeing this, Yao Long quickly pulled me back. "Xin." 0

I steadied myself and turned to see that I had tripped over the power cord of the television, which was not even plugged in. Yet the TV continued to flicker with static. 0

"Hu Fang, what did you do?! Throw away the remote!" I urged her anxiously. 0

Hu Fang was startled as well; she had already thrown the remote when I tripped over the power cord. "It wasn't me! I didn't do anything; I just pressed a few buttons..." 0

In that moment, the voice from the television returned, saying, "Help... help me..." Now I could hear it clearly; something was pleading for help. 0

But since the television wasn't plugged in, it was clear that only a Vengeful Spirit could achieve such a thing! 0

"A mere Vengeful Spirit dares to cause trouble here!" Yao Long declared as he drew back his Azure Spirit. A blue arrow formed on the bowstring, but no blue flames erupted from the bow itself. It seemed Yao Long was hesitant to unleash his full power against whatever spirit was present. 0

Suddenly, with a whoosh, Yao Long released the arrow. A flash of blue light shot forth and struck the television. With an explosion, the TV shattered into pieces. 0

In that split second of the explosion, I felt something from the figure hidden within the white static—a sense of familiarity washed over me. I was certain I had seen this person before but couldn't recall who it was; they felt so familiar yet elusive. 0

But as toxic gas filled the air and debris scattered around me from the explosion, I couldn't afford to dwell on it any longer. I quickly covered my face with my hands and turned away to avoid injury. 0

For a moment, as the dust settled, I turned around to see that the wooden cabinet where the television had been placed was now blasted with a gaping hole. Fragments of the television were scattered all over the floor, and a foul smell of burnt material wafted through the air. 0

“Yao Long, you are so impulsive! Look at what you've done; you've even destroyed my cabinet. I actually liked this cabinet…” I muttered as I walked over to it, sweeping the broken pieces onto the floor to make cleaning easier later. 0

At that moment, Li Zhisheng spoke up, “I feel like that ghost we encountered earlier didn’t have any malicious intent…” 0

“Stop being a backseat driver. Even if it didn’t mean any harm, it’s already been blown to bits by Yao Long. It’s too late for that now. Hurry and find something to clean this up; I’ll head back to my room to jot down some notes.” As I instructed Li Zhisheng, I returned to my room and pulled out the Sheepskin Book to document what had happened on Yunpo Mountain last night. 0

Once finished, I noticed that the mark was indeed fading, and quite significantly at that. It seemed there were indeed many Vengeful Spirits in that area. When the mark faded to my elbow and then stopped, I put away the Sheepskin Book and stepped out of my room to check on how Li Zhisheng was doing with the cleanup. 0

As I entered the living room, I found that Li Zhisheng and the others hadn’t cleaned up at all; instead, they were sitting on the sofa discussing something with Death Apostle. 0

“I feel like this place is no longer safe. Ever since we were captured by Yang Master’s people last time, I've been uneasy. Who knows what they might do next? Maybe we should find another place to move to,” Li Zhisheng suggested. 0

Death Apostle replied, “Hmm, but I think no matter where we hide, if they want to find us, they will definitely have a way. I believe… there’s only one relatively safe place left…” With that, Death Apostle raised a finger in front of Hu Fang and Li Zhisheng. 0

Li Zhisheng asked, “You mean… Shidao?” 0

Death Apostle nodded. Yao Long chimed in, “I think Mo Senior has plenty of vacant rooms. If we ask to stay there, he probably won’t refuse us.” 0

“That might be difficult…” Li Zhisheng pondered. 0

At this point, I slowly walked over and patted Li Zhisheng on the shoulder. “Hey, do you remember what I just asked you to do? And Yao Long, can’t you two at least help clean up? Especially you, Yao Long! My television cabinet…” 0

“I’ll go right now! Right away!” Yao Long interrupted me before I could finish and hurried off into the bathroom to grab cleaning supplies. 0

Honestly, I wasn’t really angry with Yao Long or Li Zhisheng; it was mainly because Hu Fang was present. I didn’t want her to see my emotions. After all, since we left Yunpo Mountain, she hadn’t mentioned anything about the mark on her body. My intention was to keep her from being affected by the gloomy atmosphere until we figured out what that mark meant. It would be even worse if she ended up feeling unnecessary negative emotions and did something rash. 0

I sat down on the sofa and asked the Death Apostle, "So, have you remembered where you found the Soul Mirror back then?" 0

The Death Apostle shook his head. "Not at all. The only thing I remember is that it was in the southeast direction. I can't recall any more details." 0

After hearing this, I pondered for a moment and said, "How about this? Let's check which provinces are in that direction and then roughly investigate. What do you think?" 0

"No need to check. In that direction, there are only two provinces that are close to the location in my memory: Yunnan and Guizhou. Which place do you think is more likely?" 0

Now, I was stumped by the Death Apostle's question. I had been to Yunnan before but didn't find any similar information there. Moreover, it was the place where I had witnessed Yin Li's death, and I really didn't want to visit again for fear of bringing up Chen Han. 0

As for Guizhou, I had been there once and had even eliminated an Onizuka... 0

Thinking of this, I said to everyone, "How about we go to Guizhou first? If that doesn't work out, we can always head to Yunnan. Let's take it step by step; instead of just sitting here thinking about clues, we might as well take action. Who knows what unexpected discoveries we might make..." 0
