Professor R was a genius, using animal egg cells to introduce human genetic material DNA, cultivating embryonic stem cells for a human-animal hybrid project.

After a moment, it seemed as if the corpses at the bottom of the lake came alive as Xiao Qiang emerged from beneath them. He quietly followed behind Matt, keeping his distance...
In the conference room, Professor R casually told Wen Zhaoqi, "Matt has something important to attend to and may come over later."
Wen Zhaoqi, puzzled, asked, "What could possibly be more important than discussing these projects?" As he spoke, he noticed Professor R's face suddenly change, and then the professor lowered his head. The atmosphere around them fell into a chilling silence, as if the temperature had dropped instantly. Suddenly, he looked up and scanned the room. "What do you all think about Matt not attending the meeting?" This seemingly calm inquiry frightened those seated around the conference table, causing them to straighten up in their chairs and exchange anxious glances.
Professor R fixed his gaze on Hansen, who had just arrived at the base. "Hansen, do you have something to say?" Hansen's lips moved slightly, but he shook his head. Professor R shifted his gaze away from Hansen, smacked his lips as if about to speak but didn’t get the chance. A knock echoed from the door—"He's here..." Everyone turned their attention toward the entrance.
In walked Matt, dripping wet. He cautiously approached Professor R and whispered a few words in his ear.
It was unclear what Matt had told Professor R, but it was evident that he was struggling to contain his anger; his face turned an ashen shade, with muscles twitching uncontrollably. Frowning deeply, he abruptly turned and left the conference table.
Water dripped from Matt's pant legs onto the ground as he glanced at everyone present. With a sweeping gesture of his hand and a strange look in his eyes, he said, "Disperse..." It seemed like he hadn’t finished speaking before he dashed out.
Someone behind remarked, "What a strange situation; who knows what those two are up to?"
Wen Zhaoqi shrugged. "Who knows?" He began tidying up the proposal documents on the table as everyone dispersed.
Professor R could not explode in anger; Matt had brought him bad news. Three mutants had escaped just moments ago—apparently jumping into the lake to flee. Although Matt was a hybrid of fishman descent, he was no match for three mutants.
The abilities of mutants were immeasurable. As their bodies grew, so did their energy. This was precisely why Professor R wanted to extract blood DNA from the three mutants for experiments on the uncorrupted corpses at the bottom of the lake.
Matt hurriedly followed after him as Professor R moved away from the base's conference room. Unable to contain himself any longer, he shouted furiously, "You let them escape! Are you dead or something?"
"I fought with them; look at my arm..." Matt said as he rolled up his wet sleeve but paused when he realized something was off and quickly switched arms—but it was already too late.
"Who are you?" Professor R suddenly turned around with a fierce expression and grabbed Matt, glaring at him.
At that moment, personnel from the base who had just finished the meeting surged out and began to disperse. Soon someone seemed to spot something and exclaimed, "Hey, look..."
Someone else muttered in confusion, "Wasn't Matt just with the professor? How is he here?" Dazed and disoriented, Matt stumbled as he got up and took a few unsteady steps. He felt his head spinning and rubbed the back of his neck...
At that moment, they saw Professor R being taken away by Xiao Qiang, who had come to meet him. They were confused...
Matt pointed angrily at Xiao Qiang and shouted, "It's him! He's the one who knocked me out!"
Wen Zhaoqi and the others exchanged glances, and Zhao Liya suddenly asked, "What happened? Why is he here? Didn't they say that no one unrelated to the work could be present except for the staff?"
"Let me tell you!" Xiao Qiang said calmly, his tone sincere. "We were tricked into coming here by Professor R. He... he might have done something bad to us. When I woke up, I was in the basement..." "Kid, listen to me, don’t be impulsive. Professor R has gone too far; he likely used an abandoned storage facility for experiments. However, we had no knowledge of these actions," said Zhao Liya, who would be Xiao Qiang's mother in the future, her belly round.
Looking at his future mother, Xiao Qiang's eyes became moist, but he tried hard to appear strong as he said, "Aunt Zhao, you should take good care of your pregnancy. This place... isn't very safe... I... would like to ask, besides that abandoned storage facility, are there any other hidden places here that are not well known?"

Professor R appeared furious and huffed angrily, "Don't listen to this kid; he... he has violent tendencies. You all need to be careful."
