Xiao Qiang watched as Lin Yu was thrown out, panic rising within him. He lunged forward, only to be attacked by a Mimetic Organism at the same moment. They were both dragged by an external force, like a meteor, their screams echoing as they were heavily tossed through a broken window of the pyramid and fell into a pit. 0

As they plummeted from the high window into the pit, both Xiao Qiang and Lin Yu believed they were doomed. Even if they died, Xiao Qiang would restart time again. But as their bodies fell like kites with severed strings, they lost contact with Wen Kai and crashed onto something hard. The pain jolted them awake; death was not terrifying—what was terrifying was the absence of it. 0

The agony of not dying came from deep within them, a groan escaping their lips. They had fallen from over ten meters high into a hellish underground pit. The pain in their bodies fueled their determination to win the war and their relentless struggle. The two clung to each other as they rolled off the hard surface onto the ground. 0

This close contact felt like a reunion from hell; they could smell each other's presence. With a bitter smile, Xiao Qiang looked up at Lin Yu. Despite the pain coursing through him, he managed to furrow his brow and asked with concern, "Are you okay?" 0

"I'm fine," Lin Yu replied, looking at Xiao Qiang's forehead where blood trickled down. She reached out to touch him gently. "Does it hurt?" If he hadn't rushed in to protect her, she feared that such a fall would have left his small frame shattered. 0

Xiao Qiang grasped her hand firmly. "It's fine; it'll heal automatically." 0

Having fallen from such a height, every bone in their bodies felt dislocated with excruciating pain. However, Xiao Qiang had healing abilities, and in just a moment, he would be back on his feet. 0

They remained awkwardly locked in place as pain caused tears to well up in Lin Yu's eyes. 0

Xiao Qiang leaned down and gently kissed away her tears, whispering in her ear, "It's okay; give me a few minutes." 0

"Okay," she replied, her breath heavy as more tears rolled down her dirty yet charming face. "Does it still hurt?" 0

"It doesn't hurt at all; as long as you're okay, I'm fine," Xiao Qiang said, furrowing his brow before suddenly standing up and helping her up. "Can you get up?" 0

Lin Yu nodded slowly. "I can." 0

They helped each other up when suddenly Xiao Qiang pulled Lin Yu behind him. A restless Mimetic Organism had been lurking in the shadows for some time and now emerged, extending its wicked tentacles but showing no intention of attacking them. 0

Wen Kai and the others were now separated from them; perhaps they thought Xiao Qiang and Lin Yu were dead since they couldn't find them in this vast pit-like space. 0

To Xiao Qiang, this place felt familiar; it was part of the last illusion he had sensed. It was exactly where they needed to enter but had accidentally been thrown into—the lair of the Mimetic Organism's leader. 0

Before them stood the Mimetic Organism that showed no intent to harm them; it was clearly under the control of the Mimic Leader. One of them was precisely what the leader needed—a source of energy. The blood flowing through him contained Super Strong Subatomic Particles along with Ability energy. 0

As they remained vigilant, more Mimetic Organisms suddenly appeared around them. 0

Fortunately, when Xiao Qiang fell, his weapon did not leave his hand. He raised his AK assault rifle and fired bullets filled with hatred at the clawing Mimetic Organisms. 0

In the illusion, visual and conscious information led him to sense that the Mimic Leader was hiding not far away within Kaz territory. 0

This was the Museum Basement of Kaz Nation. "This isn't the worst," Xiao Qiang said as he continued firing wildly. 0

Lin Yu had recovered and activated her telekinetic powers to tear apart the lurking Mimic Monsters around them. The tilted buildings and crumbling steel frames created an unimaginable harsh environment but did not waver their determination to strike at the heart of the Mimic Leader's lair. 0

The lair of the Mimic Monster lay at the bottom of a fissure in Stratum. Relying on his memory, Xiao Qiang accurately navigated through the route leading down to the lowest point of the fissure. 0

Lin Yu followed closely behind when suddenly the fissure collapsed again, sending both of them tumbling down once more along with large chunks of debris raining down on them. 0

As they fell, Xiao Qiang wrapped his arms around Lin Yu to shield her from falling concrete blocks above them. Breathing heavily and feeling every nerve stretched to its limit, they quickly got back on their feet while remaining alert. 0

In the depths of the pit, flickering flames illuminated a blue-tinted pool of water nearby. Xiao Qiang focused intently and whispered to Lin Yu, "It's right there." 0

Two figures leaned against the cave wall, taking a brief respite in a concealed spot. To Lin Yu's right, she heard a noise and focused her gaze on a male Mimic Monster with a central nervous system. They couldn't kill it; if they did, the female Mimic Monster in charge would reset time, forcing them to relive these harrowing moments all over again. 0

"I'll draw it away," Xiao Qiang said. 0

"You won't get far before it kills you," Lin Yu rejected his suggestion. She didn't want to be separated from him. Life and death together—that was the unwavering belief she held in her heart. 0

"Don't be childish. I will succeed. Just trust me. You can use your telekinesis to kill the Mimic Leader," Xiao Qiang forced a strained smile, encouraging Lin Yu. He pressed a grenade into her palm. "After we win, I'll take you to a special place." 0

"No," Lin Yu refused the grenade he offered. A bad feeling washed over her; she feared losing him. 0

"Listen to me. We both need to be prepared to give up our lives for this fight. If we don't kill them, we won't survive either, and countless warriors from the Beach Battle and all of humanity will be lost." 0

"Xiao Qiang, I haven't misjudged you. You are a good man." Lin Yu hugged Xiao Qiang tightly, biting her lip as tears welled in her eyes, reluctant to let go. 0

Suddenly, she pressed her lips deeply against his, pushing away the still-dazed Xiao Qiang before sprinting off. 0

Lin Yu's actions were undoubtedly aimed at sacrificing herself to draw away the male Mimetic Organism. 0

Xiao Qiang couldn't chase after her; otherwise, they would both die. He could only cooperate with Lin Yu to deal with the massive Mimetic Organism once and for all. 0

The dark environment did not hinder Xiao Qiang's vision as he searched for her. He climbed over obstacles in his path, moving closer to the edge of the water pool... 0

Lin Yu ran wildly, desperately trying to divert the male Mimic Monster guarding the Mimic Leader. Exhausted, she hid in the shadows to catch her breath before running again, unaware that the male Mimic Monster had stealthily circled back behind her. 0
