Xiao Qiang held onto Nian Zhu as Lin Yu covered their retreat. Plum Blossom Rain saw them trying to escape and shouted from another direction, charging toward them.
The Mecha Giant picked up the gleaming Katana, its voice echoing from the armored scales. It possessed life, resembling a mech with a soul, moving steadily closer with each step.
Xiao Qiang set Nian Zhu down and said to Lin Yu, "You deal with Plum Blossom Rain; I'll handle the mech..." He added a warning, "Be careful of her toxins."
Lin Yu had suffered from toxins before and knew how dangerous Plum Blossom Rain could be. She gave an OK gesture, unafraid as she walked toward the approaching enemy.
"Nian Zhu, you understand, try to get to a safe place."
"Mm," Nian Zhu nodded obediently, her big eyes flickering toward the Mecha Giant without a hint of fear. This surprised Xiao Qiang.
Another thing puzzled him: a man in a yellow tracksuit suddenly burst in from outside. He wasn't there to confront Xiao Qiang but headed straight for Nian Zhu.
"Miss, are you alright?" The man's tone suggested he was genuinely concerned for Nian Zhu.
Seeing that Xiao Qiang was worried and kept watching her and the man in black, Nian Zhu ran a few steps closer and said, "Uncle, he is our Shagu Family's guardian and also part of the Yakuza. You can trust him; he won't hurt me."
"Alright," Xiao Qiang thought it made sense. If these people meant harm to Nian Zhu, she would have already been poisoned when he was ambushed. There was no way she could be safe inside the tower when Lin Yu found her.

Xiao Qiang turned back to Nian Zhu, who was nodding at him.
Plum Blossom Rain was currently facing off against Lin Yu, and he needed to check on that.
"Alright, just be careful," Xiao Qiang said as he took a few steps back from the incoming figure, then turned and picked up Nian Zhu to find Lin Yu.
Lin Yu was wary of Plum Blossom Rain's toxins; in this space, she could easily unleash her telekinetic waves against the Demoness. Under the powerful assault of her telekinetic waves, Snake Woman Mei Hua Yu found herself at a disadvantage, suffering internal injuries and coughing up blood by the time Xiao Qiang arrived.
He watched Plum Blossom Rain coldly before glancing at Lin Yu, who had already regained her composure.
"Spare her worthless life," Xiao Qiang scoffed, calling out to Lin Yu as they left. The two of them followed Nian Zhu into the elevator, preparing to descend.
Xiao Qiang still felt a bit uneasy about the Yakuza Warrior battling the mech. Nian Zhu reassured him, "It's fine; mechs won't harm their own people."
"What do you mean?" both Xiao Qiang and Lin Yu exclaimed in surprise.
Realizing she had let something slip, Nian Zhu fell silent.
As Nian Zhu had mentioned, mechs would not harm their own. The warrior knelt before the mech and said, "Master, what you're doing is wrong."
Cheng Yaojin suddenly appeared from the mecha, blocking the way. Filled with rage, he raised his Katana and struck down fiercely... The warrior's head was severed from his neck, blood gushing out like a fountain from the wound, and his legs kicked a few times before he died.
Xiao Qiang and the others had already reached the middle floor. As they stepped out of the elevator, they heard the sound of the mecha spinning and jumping down from above.
The appearance of the mecha meant that the warrior was definitely dead. Nian Zhu suddenly burst into tears, genuinely frightened.
"You take her away," Xiao Qiang said as he handed Nian Zhu over to Lin Yu. He turned back to face the descending mecha, which raised its arms high with Katana in hand, charging forward with a violent aura. Xiao Qiang felt urgency; disregarding everything for Lin Yu and Nian Zhu's safety, he rushed forward and embraced the mecha around its waist, both of them plummeting from the air.
Nian Zhu cried even harder. Lin Yu not only had to comfort her but also keep an eye on Xiao Qiang's situation.
Xiao Qiang fell alongside the mecha, colliding with a steel railing before finally landing on a wire mesh walkway.
The mecha got up first, swinging its Katana again to strike at him.
Xiao Qiang rolled on the ground, grabbing a movable steel frame to block the descending Katana.
Unbeknownst to the overly merciful Xiao Qiang and Lin Yu, Plum Blossom Rain was actually not dead. After a brief rest, she could shed her damaged skin and return to her original form.
She screamed as she tore off her skin, her flexible covering coming off along with her hair. In that moment, her face was terrifying enough to scare anyone to death.
Having shed her skin, Plum Blossom Rain was definitely out for revenge against Lin Yu.
Xiao Qiang faced off against the mecha. The mecha was cunning; it pressed one Katana against the steel frame he held in front of him while drawing another Katana to slash at his arm.
The sly mecha caught Xiao Qiang by surprise. He realized he couldn't get entangled with it any longer; he needed to finish it quickly. An idea popped into his mind as he shifted from defense to offense. He stepped back slightly to dodge the Katana and delivered a flying kick—bam! His kick was powerful enough to send the mecha's head flying off.
A ghostly blue flame erupted from the mecha's neck like a short-circuited wire as it trembled all over and retreated hastily. Seizing the opportunity, Xiao Qiang followed up with another kick that struck the mecha's waist. The mecha swayed and let out a strange cry before falling off the steel railing.
After securing Nian Zhu, Lin Yu gathered his strength once more. Due to Plum Blossom Rain's repeated assaults, his hatred surged intensely. This time, his telekinetic wave was incredibly powerful; every cubic meter contained a lethal force.
Before Plum Blossom Rain could spew toxins from her mouth, she was swept up by a gust of wind. Spitting blood, she found it impossible to break free from Lin Yu's telekinetic chains... Just then, Xiao Qiang appeared. "Let her go! Let me handle this!" He sprinted a few steps and leaped into the air, sweeping his leg in a powerful kick while sending his dagger along with it—swish! "Ah..." Plum Blossom Rain let out a desperate scream as a stream of filthy blood splattered onto the steel railing. She fell limply like a spineless dog.
The mecha had its secrets; Nian Zhu revealed that it was actually her grandfather, Mr. Shagu. Indeed, Xiao Qiang pulled out a corpse from inside the mecha that had already been dead for several minutes—it was Mr. Shagu himself. He had used his son Shagu Huo Nan's brutality and greed to create a false scene, making Xiao Qiang believe he was dead and lowering his guard.
The elderly Mr. Shagu had injected himself with a newly developed stimulant similar to adrenaline so that he could confront Xiao Qiang. As long as he dealt with him within a specific timeframe and underwent blood transfusion afterward, Mr. Shagu could come back to life.
