When Shasha woke up, he had no idea where he was. The sensors attached to his body seemed to be collecting some kind of data, and he found himself in a laboratory, devoid of any researchers.
Instinctively thinking he had been captured by S.H.I.E.L.D. or some other special organization, Shasha got up. With a slight vibration, the sensors naturally fell off. He picked up a coat that had been placed nearby and put it on, starting to search for an exit.
Before long, he opened the door to the laboratory and was greeted by a maze of corridors, but he had no idea where the actual exit was.
With a sigh, Shasha realized he could only try each path one by one, hoping to leave before anyone discovered him.
Meanwhile, in the principal's office of the academy, Jean was reporting on Shasha's physical data.
"His reflexes are extraordinary, exceeding normal reflexes by more than ten times, and there is a noticeable trend of growth. It seems this is also part of his mutated genes. His physical condition is over three times that of an average person, clearly indicating extensive training; however, we don't know where he has served in the past. As for Vibration, to be honest, we still don't know if his ability emanates from his mind or is due to his genes. This still needs observation."
After listening to Jean's report, Charles fell silent for a moment before slowly saying, "When I first sensed his abilities emerging, I thought his potential was impressive. But as time went on, his power evolved from level one to level two; this can no longer be described merely as potential. If we allow him to continue growing like this, I can't imagine how powerful he might become. It's like when I simulated what would happen if I lost control of my abilities due to Alzheimer's."
At Charles's hypothesis, Jean envisioned a scene where America and even the entire world would be reduced to ruins.
"Let's try to pacify him; even if we can't fully control him, we must prevent him from walking down an unimaginable path," Charles said with a sudden smile. "It seems our friend has awakened."
Jean was taken aback by his words and quickly turned toward the direction of the laboratory.
After some effort, Shasha finally reached the exit. Looking at the security device that clearly required fingerprints and retinal scans to open, he sighed. In the next moment, he placed his hands on the laboratory door and began to release Vibration slowly.
When Jean arrived at the secret passage leading to the laboratory from the library, it seemed as though a tremendous force had flung open the heavy alloy door of the laboratory, causing it to crash down in front of her in utter disbelief.
In the next moment, Shasha and Jean locked eyes. After a brief pause, Shasha suddenly turned and ran.
Jean's expression darkened as she raised her hand; a wave of telekinetic energy formed a large net that enveloped Shasha and dragged him back in front of her. "Do you have any idea how much it costs to repair such a door?" she asked.
Shasha felt awkward at her words but also curious. "If you hadn't brought me back here in the first place, this wouldn't have happened. And I want to ask—who exactly are you? Where is this place?"
Jean paused for a moment before taking a deep breath to suppress her anger and coldly replied, "This is Xavier Institute for Gifted Youngsters. As for why you are here—it's because we saved you."
Xavier Institute for Gifted Youngsters
As someone familiar with Marvel, one cannot be unaware of the group known as the Warriors among the mutants.
The stronghold of the Warriors is located within this very Xavier Institute for Gifted Youngsters.
At this moment, Shasha wore an unusually strange expression, as it seemed that something significant had occurred just before she lost consciousness.
Seeing that Shasha remained silent and was about to continue, Charles's voice suddenly echoed in her mind.
"Jean, bring her over."
Upon hearing this, Jean immediately used her telekinesis to drag Shasha along until they reached the principal's office.
During this time, Shasha attempted to break free several times but found that her strength was utterly insufficient to escape. It was clear that this was a form of power suppression among mutants. With a sigh in her heart, she could only allow Jean to vent her frustrations on her.
Before meeting Charles, Shasha had imagined what it would be like to meet this renowned sage of Marvel. Would he invite her into the ranks of the Warriors? Would he counsel her on how to properly utilize her abilities?
However, when Shasha finally faced Charles, his first words were not what she had anticipated.
"Before you arrived, I considered whether I should simply confine you."
Shasha was taken aback and then chuckled, "I haven't done anything harmful. Besides, on what grounds do you have to confine me?"
Facing the displeased expression of Shasha, Charles replied calmly, "Have you ever thought that your abilities might be too dangerous?"
"Dangerous?" Shasha laughed again and said something that earned Charles's admiration, "For me, it's never the ability that's dangerous; it's the person using it."
"You're not wrong; it's always people who determine whether an ability is dangerous," Charles agreed but then shifted his tone. "But how can I be sure that you are not a dangerous person?"
This is troublesome! Shasha sighed inwardly as she discreetly glanced at the beautiful woman behind her. If she guessed correctly, this was none other than Jean Grey, who possessed the Phoenix Force. With one wielding the Phoenix Force and another being a professor, how could she possibly contend with them given her current abilities? Under such circumstances, one must bow their head.
"I can't comply with you; as for what you want, do as you please," Shasha said helplessly, shrugging his shoulders. He looked like a victim being threatened, feeling exceptionally aggrieved.
In response, Charles chuckled. "I'm not trying to force you. Just relax a bit. I actually just wanted to ask if you're interested in joining the Warriors?"
Shasha was momentarily taken aback by Charles' sudden change in attitude. After a brief silence, he broke it, saying, "I'm sorry, but I'm not interested in joining any organization."
Charles didn't seem to mind Shasha's refusal, but Quinn couldn't hold back. "What do you think you're rejecting? If it weren't for the professor protecting you, you'd probably have been taken away by Magneto already!"
Magneto? Shasha frowned, not expecting this matter to involve Magneto again.
To be honest, if it weren't for the mission, Shasha would have been quite willing to join a faction and develop quietly. However, this mission prohibited him from joining any side, so he could only apologize to Charles.
"Although I appreciate that you saved me, I'm sorry; I still can't agree to join you."
