The infusion of life force revitalized Frank's gradually weakening body; if he had once been on the brink of death, now he was experiencing a resurrection. 0

The power of the Bloodline Bible could instantly transform a vampire into a Blood Demon. But what about humans? 0

As Shasha watched Frank slowly sit up, his pale skin, which resembled that of a corpse, and his eyes that flickered with a crimson glow revealed the undeniable truth: he was no longer human. 0

Leaping down from the platform, Shasha stood over Frank, who was seated on the ground, and asked lightly, "How do you feel? Do you remember who you are?" 0

"I..." After a wave of headache, memories began to flood into Frank's mind. "My name is Frank." 0

"That woman!" Huo Ran stood up, recalling the last memory of Frank's ashen face. 0

"It seems you've recovered," Shasha nodded in satisfaction. 0

"What has happened to me?" Looking down at his hands and feeling the unfamiliar sensations within him, Frank realized this was the feeling of rebirth, the power of life. He also understood that it was Shasha before him who had granted him this new life. At the same time, an invisible bond within him indicated that Shasha was now his master. 0

Observing the changing expressions on Frank's face, Shasha said, "It seems you already know everything. So I won't waste words. Are you willing to follow me? I will give you plenty of opportunities to strike against evil!" 0

Frank wasn't foolish; in fact, he was quite clever. He smiled bitterly at her words. "Do I have a choice?" 0

He had arrived as one person accompanied by a lifeless shell. Now he would return as two. 0

Shasha did not take Frank back to her home; after all, she didn't want to expose their relationship just yet. 0

As for Frank, representing someone without any superpowers, he was well-versed in individual and team tactics for special operations. He had undergone rigorous training in the United States Marine Corps, acquiring skills in combat, hand-to-hand fighting, shooting, underwater operations, interrogation, and intelligence gathering. He was proficient with various firearms and preferred using a ballistic knife as his weapon of choice—capable of functioning as a dagger and launching its blade when necessary, inflicting significant damage within a ten-meter range. 0

In simple terms, he was an experienced unconventional warfare expert and a military technology specialist. Additionally, he was familiar with conventional medical practices and battlefield first aid. 0

He was undeniably a versatile talent; aside from his somewhat radical approach to matters, he had almost no flaws. It should be noted that many superheroes disapproved of his methods and privately referred to him as an Anti-Hero. 0

However, Shasha did not care about this point. After all, when dealing with enemies, it is either you die or I die; showing mercy to an enemy is cruelty to oneself. Most superheroes are quite merciful. 0

Now that Shasha finally had a super assistant, he no longer needed to do everything himself. There were many things that could still be accomplished, such as helping Tock develop an underground force. 0

From the moment he rescued Tock from prison, Shasha had been contemplating this issue. In the future, he would inevitably have to confront various major forces. Being alone and isolated would surely make it difficult to withstand such challenges, so secretly cultivating a power was essential. 0

Although he himself was not suited for managing a force, he only needed to have the insight to recognize capable people. 0

First and foremost, Shasha wanted Tock to integrate the areas that Jin Bing had not yet touched. He was not ready to confront Jin Bing directly, as the reason was clear: he was not yet a match for him. 0

Tock alone could not handle this matter, so Frank was undoubtedly the best candidate. 0

As for how his subordinates would carry out their tasks, Shasha did not concern himself with that; all he needed was results. 0

With their matters arranged, it was time for Shasha to continue with his own mission. 0

In addition to rescuing Frank, he also learned the full story of what had happened back then from him. 0

Originally, this prison provided a mysterious person with a sufficient number of living subjects every month. The fate of these subjects was ultimately to be drained of their life force and die. Frank was the only survivor, while Walter Hardy was one of the victims from a year ago. It was no wonder that at that time, Lao Xiao kept it under wraps. 0

The key to understanding the situation lay with the Warden. Even though he did not know the identity of the mysterious person, he must have some way of contacting them; it was even possible that the transactions were still ongoing. 0

Having figured this out, Shasha headed back to Colorado. He had a feeling that this time he would be able to uncover that person's identity. 0

Night fell over the red land of Colorado. The nighttime desert was eerily quiet except for the faint howling of the wind; there were hardly any sounds from snakes or insects because the environment was so harsh that even a fly would hesitate to come here. 0

The highway was very calm; this road had been built for over ten years and rarely saw any cars passing through. 0

But now, three trucks were driving in succession towards a single direction. 0

Behind a protruding rock, Shasha quietly observed the speed of the trucks. As one passed after another, he suddenly dashed out just as the third truck was about to go by, sliding beneath it in a low crouch, his limbs pressed against the undercarriage as he patiently waited for it to come to a stop amidst the bumps. 0

The Desert Prison had undergone significant changes; perhaps even the outside world was unaware that it had become a den for prisoners, and that the Warden had long since become a mere puppet, pushed out into the open. 0

In the office, Lao Xiao adjusted his reading glasses and looked over the list handed to him by the Warden. After a long moment, he nodded in satisfaction. "Let’s proceed with this list. Prepare them; those fellows will be here soon." 0

Just as the Warden was about to leave, he suddenly remembered something and halted. "What should we do about that woman who tried to assassinate me?" 0

Lao Xiao pondered for a moment and waved his hand dismissively. "Don't worry about her; she is still useful to me." 0

Once the Warden departed, Lao Xiao slowly rose and walked to the window where he could see the situation at the prison gate. He watched as the headlights of the three trucks approached slowly, his face betraying no emotion. Yet, those observant enough could sense a subtle shift in his demeanor. 0
