The Bearded Man was called Logan, the Wolverine that Shasha spoke of.
This super mutant, whose entire skeleton was made of Adamantium and possessed an extraordinary healing ability, was currently troubled by a girl who had secretly hopped into his car. Did this girl not realize who he was?
"Get out. I'm not your babysitter," Logan said coldly.
The girl lowered her head at his words. "I have nowhere to go. Could you please take me to the nearest city?"
Logan shook his head in frustration and then started the car.
However, they soon had to stop again because a fallen tree blocked the road ahead.
"Wait here," Logan said as he got out of the driver's seat. He looked at the inexplicably fallen tree, hands on his hips in annoyance.
Just as he contemplated whether to move it aside, a figure came rushing through the snow, speeding toward them.
Before Logan could react, he was knocked back by the tremendous force of the incoming attacker, letting out a pained cry.
Seeing this, the girl quickly ducked down and pressed herself against the driver's seat, too afraid to move.
Still reeling from the impact of the unknown attacker, Logan gritted his teeth against the pain and extended his claws.
With a swift motion, his claws struck the assailant, sending them flying back. Logan roared in anger as he plunged his claws into the attacker's chest, pinning them firmly against the fallen tree.
It was only then that he got a good look at the assailant—a wild-haired figure that resembled a madman. The person appeared to be a human beast, devoid of any rationality, only capable of furious howls.
"Isn't it interesting?" The Blonde Man, also the embodiment of Shasha at this moment, watched the two with amusement—one Wolverine, the other Saber-Toothed Tiger. It was worth noting that before their memory loss, they were half-brothers.
Now, they were mercilessly fighting each other, treating one another as deadly enemies.
Both of these fellows had skills and abilities that were evenly matched; after all, their powers were inherited from the same lineage.
Watching for a while became tiring, but soon someone arrived. A beam of light sliced through the air, striking Saber-Toothed Tiger.
Logan, having temporarily escaped, turned to see two figures in black slowly approaching.
Turning back again, he found Saber-Toothed Tiger had vanished. Logan wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth and prepared to drive away.
"Wait a moment." The woman among them spoke, halting Logan's movements.
"I don't know you," Logan replied coldly.
"You may not know us, but we know you," the woman smiled. "Someone wants to meet you, Logan."
Logan raised an eyebrow, about to respond when he suddenly saw the woman shout toward an empty spot, "Who’s there?"
"Warriors' Laser Eye and Storm Queen," Shasha stepped out from behind a tree, saluting mockingly with a finger at his eye corner. "Nice to meet you."
"What do you want?" Aurora asked with a frown. Scott beside her had already placed his hand on the switch of his visor, ready to attack if things went awry.
"If I said I came to watch a show, you definitely wouldn't believe me," Shasha shrugged, a malicious smile gradually spreading across his face. "But if I said I came for you..."
As the words fell, a laser shot out instantly, creating a large crater where Shasha had been standing.
Seeing the attack miss, Scott hurriedly searched for Shasha's whereabouts, but was startled by Aurora's exclamation nearby.
In the next moment, he felt himself spinning and collapsed to the ground, losing consciousness in an instant.
"Although your abilities are strong, in other aspects..." Shasha revealed a gruesome expression.
Aurora's demeanor turned cold as she instinctively regarded Shasha as one of Magneto's subordinates. "Bring it on; I will never let Magneto succeed."
Raising her hand, a fierce wind surged forward, but it seemed to hit an invisible wall just a meter in front of Shasha.
This scene caused Aurora's expression to change slightly. "You're Level 4."
A sinister smile crept across Shasha's lips as the vibrations of air molecules intensified, resulting in a loud explosion.
Aurora was blasted backward, her body going limp in mid-air as she lost consciousness.
In an instant, Shasha had dealt with two of the Warriors' key members. One couldn't help but acknowledge that while the professor had done well in developing their abilities, he had been rather casual regarding their other skills, such as close combat.
It was important to understand that abilities were only part of one's strength; specializing in abilities could leave other areas significantly weak.
From Shasha's current perspective, the Warriors were inadequate. Only a few among them posed any real threat, and those two unconscious figures were certainly not included.
Logan watched all of this with an expressionless face, as if what had just happened had nothing to do with him at all.
As Shasha turned to look at him, Logan gave a faint nod. "Thanks, partner."
"Don't be in such a hurry to thank me," Shasha chuckled. "I've admired the name of Wolverine for a long time."
At her words, Logan tensed up; this was not good. His claws were already poised for action.
One step, two steps, three steps—then suddenly, Shasha moved, casually flicking a small stone.
Logan's pupils constricted as the stone hurtled toward his head, seemingly intent on ending him.
He ducked to evade it, but was met with a knee strike that sent him sprawling backward, blood spraying as the strange impact left his brain unable to process normal signals.
Three—no, four!
Watching the progress of the main mission nearing halfway complete, Shasha exhaled a breath of frustration. Her gaze swept across the area and landed on a cowering figure peeking from inside a car. A slow smile crept onto her face. "I almost forgot about one more."
