Emma Frost, the White Queen of the Cardinal group within the Hellfire Club.
Since Sebastian was conspired against and killed by his own son along with the Black Queen, the leadership of the Cardinal group has fallen into Emma Frost's hands. She is now engaged in a prolonged struggle against the wealthy faction manipulated by the Black Queen.
In addition to her elevated status, Emma possesses a third-level mutant ability.
Not only does she have powerful telepathic abilities, but she can also turn her body into diamond, making herself incredibly hard. This means she is exceptionally formidable both at range and in close combat.
Being her enemy would be quite a headache.
Unexpectedly, dealing with Justin Hammer has led to being caught up in the internal strife of the Hellfire core circle.
Whether it’s White Queen Emma Frost or Black Queen, Shasha feels she cannot afford to provoke either of them right now.
Rubbing her temples in frustration, Shasha temporarily forced herself not to think about this matter.
However, discussions surrounding her second identity began to unfold at the academy.
As Aurora described the appearance of Liquid Snake, the well-informed Professor Charles furrowed his brow. “This person is the leader of the rapidly rising Skull Society in the underground world, named Liquid Snake.”
“Why would he come looking for trouble with us? Has he teamed up with Magneto?” Jean asked in surprise.
Charles slowly shook his head. “They are not in a cooperative relationship. As far as I know, there hasn’t been any interaction between these two.”
“That’s strange. If he has no purpose, I find that hard to believe,” Aurora frowned, unwilling to accept that Liquid Snake's appearance was merely coincidental.
“Don’t overthink it. Sometimes when you delve too deeply into the implications, you overlook its essence. He might just be passing through,” Charles said with a slight smile, trying to reassure the troubled Aurora.
Seeing Charles' comforting demeanor, Aurora decided not to dwell on it further. However, privately she still wanted to understand what it all represented. Although she was known for her wisdom and rationality, her curiosity often outweighed everything else.
Putting that topic aside, another one was brought up by Jean. “Logan, how do you plan to handle this?”
Charles sighed slowly upon hearing this. "It would be best if he could stay; if not, then let him go."
Qin's gaze flickered as she recalled a distant memory from nearly ten years ago.
Meanwhile, Shasha was facing some trouble.
Daredevil, who had always been Jin Bing's nemesis, had inexplicably decided to cause problems for her. Last night, a weapons deal was completely ruined by him, and that batch of arms was burned to ashes.
The loss was significant, and Shasha felt the sting deeply; he finally understood Jin Bing's feelings back then.
As the saying goes, blocking someone's financial path is akin to killing their parents. Although Shasha couldn't kill Daredevil due to Erika's influence, he certainly planned to teach him a harsh lesson.
Perhaps even he didn't realize that a large part of his motivation for confronting Daredevil was the desire to see Erika.
Inside a law office in Queens, New York, a blind lawyer was leisurely sipping tea, enjoying a moment of tranquility.
Before long, a stunning figure with sun-kissed skin entered the office, carrying a fragrant aura. Her first words were a sharp question: "Did you sabotage another faction's business last night?"
The Blind Lawyer took his time sipping his tea before gently nodding. "That is indeed the case."
"Do you know that the opposing faction is hostile towards Jin Bing? Do you realize that your actions have created another enemy for us?" Her face was filled with anger, yet it did nothing to diminish her beauty; instead, it made her appear even more spirited.
"Even so, it was necessary. Once that batch of weapons was traded, it would undoubtedly lead to more crime. I acted to prevent such a situation," the Blind Lawyer stated firmly, as if he embodied justice itself.
Her expression turned to one of clear disdain. "This kind of justice is based on rationality. I don't deny that your actions stem from a sense of justice, but the enemy of my enemy is my friend. Don't you understand this principle?"
"Erika, what has happened to make you like this? You weren't always this way," the Blind Lawyer said with a furrowed brow, his tone tinged with sorrow.
Erika was momentarily taken aback, then coldly replied, "Matt, don't forget our ultimate goal is to eliminate Jin Bing. What you're doing not only doesn't help our cause, but it actually hinders us!"
"I know that," Matt sighed lightly, suddenly asking a question that left Erika speechless. "Are you so eager to deal with Jin Bing because you want to fulfill your master's wishes and return to your own life?"
Erika fell silent. She indeed held such thoughts; it had been a long time since she had gone back. Although she wasn't sure if Shasha missed her, she probably did. That guy must be feeling very lonely living alone all of a sudden.
Thinking of this, her expression darkened. After such a long time, perhaps he had already thought she wouldn't return? Maybe he had forgotten her entirely; he might even have a girlfriend by now. After all, the girl next door had always been eyeing him. The more she thought about it, the more she gritted her teeth in frustration.
"Your heart is in turmoil," Matt frowned. Even though he couldn't see, his senses picked up on Erika's emotional fluctuations. He understood that his ex-girlfriend was disturbed because of another man, and even with his resolute spirit, he felt a twinge of bitterness.
His hands slowly clenched into fists, the steel tea cup gradually crumpling under his grip.
Some emotions were difficult to vent and needed an outlet, like striking down evil.
