"Is that really the case?"
Sitting in the main seat, Magneto laughed in anger, "I truly don't know how thick-skinned some people can be!"
He absolutely believed the news brought back by Mystique. It was precisely because he believed that he never expected anyone would dare to challenge his authority even now. It seemed he had been too quiet for too long, allowing others to forget his existence.
Huo Ran stood up, and Magneto coldly said, "You don't need to worry about this matter; I will handle it personally."
Mystique nodded, a cold smile appearing at the corner of her mouth. She wanted to see if Liquid Snake would still be so tough when faced with Magneto.
Magneto had not appeared in public for a long time. The last time was during a dispute with Charles over Shasha's allegiance, where he was forced back a step by Charles and spent several months nursing his wounds.
This time, even if Charles tried to stop him again, he felt no fear.
Taking the first step out of his base, Magneto soared into the air. Under the influence of magnetic and gravitational forces, he leaped over Los Angeles.
On top of the Statue of Liberty, Magneto stood on the torch and shouted loudly, "Liquid Snake!!"
His voice spread out, resonating throughout New York City, causing passersby to wonder who Liquid Snake was.
At the New York S.H.I.E.L.D. office, Nick Huo Ran stood up. "It's that guy Magneto!"
Having dealt with him before, he immediately recognized the voice's owner.
Beside him, Hill, acting as an aide, frowned and pondered, "Magneto has come personally; it seems a great battle is inevitable."
"What does that guy think New York is? A battlefield?" Nick laughed in anger and then ordered, "Have Steve, Natasha, and Peter on standby, and inform Tony Stark!"
Hill paused at his words. "Tony Stark hasn't joined S.H.I.E.L.D. yet, has he?"
Nick pulled out a letter from his inner pocket and handed it to Hill. "Give this to him."
With a puzzled expression, Hill took her leave.
Meanwhile, Jin Bing had been enjoying a brief period of calm but was disturbed by yesterday's conflict between Brotherhood and Skull Society. He never expected Magneto would come to New York personally. He had no intention of gloating because if Skull Society were defeated, his own power might also suffer under Magneto's strike; after all, there were past grievances between him and Magneto.
Puffing on a cigar and lost in thought for a while, he slowly instructed, "Mary, go check the situation and remember to report back at any time."
Typhoid Mary nodded and turned to leave.
"Hopefully that guy won't turn New York upside down."
The first to respond to the call was Shasha, who rushed to the Statue of Liberty almost instantly. Lacking the ability to fly, he was a bit slower.
As he climbed up to the torch, his eyes fell upon this classic villain, and his first reaction was a cold smirk. "Old man, I didn't think you'd actually dare to come. I thought you would just hide like a turtle."
"Youth, arrogance is a sin!" Magneto replied with a chilling smile. "Let me teach you what it means to respect your elders and care for the young!"
As soon as he finished speaking, the dual forces of magnetism and gravity began to pull at Shasha's body.
Feeling the tug of this power, Shasha remained unfazed and raised his hand, releasing a wave of Vibration.
The two forces collided in the air with a loud bang.
Both sides took a step back, and Magneto looked astonished. "What kind of ability is that?"
"What do you think my ability is? Take this!" Shasha lunged forward, fists raised.
Magneto was initially flustered, but as he adapted, his electrically charged fists began to clash with Shasha's Vibration in a battle of strength.
The sound of their conflict echoed continuously as the torch shattered under the electromagnetic and Vibration forces, and they moved their battlefield to the crown.
"I've seen this kind of ability in someone before," Magneto said, puzzled during their skirmish. "But that person wasn't you."
"What's so strange about having similar abilities?" Shasha sneered; at that moment, he was Liquid Snake, not himself.
"You seem to misunderstand my powers," Magneto chuckled. "You probably don't know what it means to manipulate Magnetic Fields."
Just as Shasha was about to retort, he suddenly felt his Vibration dissipate. Before he could react in shock, a powerful magnetic blast struck him, sending him flying into one of the crown's pillars, where he risked falling at any moment.
In mid-air, Shasha used the recoil to bounce back up to the crown. He stared intently at Magneto, who was protected by an invisible force field. "You can actually alter atomic activity?"
"That is my ability," Magneto replied with pride. "Want to defeat me? You'll never be able to do it!"
Shasha dispersed the Vibration in his hands, realizing too late that Magneto was far from an ordinary Level 4 mutant; he had underestimated what it meant to face one.
If Magneto is the top among Level 4 mutants, then I am barely just stepping into Level 4.
There’s no other choice; I had originally planned to settle this with my abilities, but it seems I have to cheat.
Shasha slowly removed his shirt, revealing a muscular physique. "Originally, I didn't intend to use this ability here. However, today I must defeat you, even if it means losing control after using it."
In the next moment, his body began to undergo drastic changes, his muscles swelling and expanding.
Until he transformed into a towering giant over several meters tall, with explosive muscles.
"ROAR!!!"
A deafening roar erupted from his mouth, filled with boundless rage.
