As the conflict was about to erupt, the voices from outside the prison reached their ears.
"Listen up inside! We have completely surrounded this place. You have ten minutes to come out and surrender, or we will level this place to the ground with our weapons!"
This was the second measure to prevent Magneto from escaping, and the order was absolute.
In such a situation, Shasha spoke up, "You should go. If we engage in battle now, it will only lead to mutual destruction. After all, your mission was to save Magneto. Since I've already rescued him, your mission is complete. Why does it matter who saved him?"
Upon hearing this, Felicia fell silent. She had to admit that Shasha was right; staying would not only leave her without a chance of winning but could also result in indiscriminate attacks against her. From their earlier encounter, she realized that this person was formidable. Her sneak attack had either killed or severely injured opponents in the past, yet it had only forced him to take a step back—clearly indicating that he was stronger than her.
Understanding this, Felicia turned to leave. However, before she departed, she cast a deep glance at Shasha, as if trying to imprint his appearance in her memory.
Once Felicia was gone, Shasha furrowed his brow. He had expected things to go smoothly but hadn't anticipated such a turn of events at the last moment. Now, there were almost no options left except for a hard push to break through.
"Child, I know you are strong, but in this situation, you can't handle it alone," Magneto said with a cold smile on his face. "Let me go; we can work together!"
Hesitating at this point, Shasha couldn't help but consider Magneto's cunning nature. If he were released, there was always the possibility that he would turn against him, leaving Shasha caught between enemies.
Although Shasha was unafraid of bullets, concentrated attacks could still find weaknesses. With reinforcements potentially arriving at any moment, this situation could not be delayed; it needed to be dealt with promptly.
"What are you hesitating for?" Magneto said impatiently. "You act like a cowardly woman."
At those words, Shasha gritted his teeth and decided to take a gamble—betting that Magneto wouldn't strike against him.
With a swift motion, he tore apart the shackles binding Magneto and freed his hands. A cold and arrogant smile returned to Magneto's face. "Child, you've made the right decision."
In the next moment, the power of the Magnetic Field reemerged!
At this moment, the Armored Corps outside the prison was on high alert, waiting for their appearance.
Suddenly, the power of the Magnetic Field spread out, causing armored vehicles and tanks to stall under its influence. Following that was a strong Vibration that radiated outward like a magnitude seven earthquake.
Giant cracks spread, swallowing one armored vehicle after another, and many soldiers fell into the pits.
Taking advantage of this chaos, a figure dragged another person and dashed away, quickly disappearing from the sight of the survivors.
The commander in charge of guarding the area, witnessing this, picked up the radio with an expression of anger and helplessness. "I'm sorry, they escaped. We have many injured here who need treatment."
After a moment of silence on the other end of the line, it was slowly hung up.
The two who had escaped found themselves in a remote location several dozen kilometers away.
Magneto glanced at Shasha and said lightly, "It seems my assistant paid a hefty price as your reward for saving me. What exactly was it?"
Shasha chuckled softly in response. "She agreed to ally with me to deal with Jin Bing."
Magneto nodded noncommittally and then asked another question. "Why did you refuse my deal back then? I only wanted to borrow the energy of the Rakshasi; it wouldn't harm her."
At this question, Shasha sighed and laid bare what she knew about the drawbacks of the Gene Modifier. "That machine can indeed alter ordinary people's genes to turn them into mutants. But such genetic mutations come with severe downsides. Those whose genes are altered will die within a month because they cannot withstand rapid cell division. So, I refer to these machine-modified mutants as Disposable Mutants."
Upon hearing this, Magneto's expression changed. He had never considered that machine could have such drawbacks. If used, his desires might be briefly fulfilled, but afterward, his forces would undoubtedly collapse in an instant.
After a long silence, Magneto slowly sighed. "I didn't expect it to be like this."
Seeing that Magneto easily believed her words, Shasha expressed her surprise. "You believe me?"
"Why don't you believe me? After all, you have no reason to lie to me, and you know that lying wouldn't do you any good."
Magneto said, a hint of worry flashing across his brow. "Alright, I should head back to the Brotherhood now. I can only imagine how tough things have been for the Brotherhood while I've been away."
Just as Magneto was about to leave, Shasha suddenly realized something and shouted, "Hey, remember to tell your assistant to get me those documents! Don't forget!"
Magneto waved his hand and slowly disappeared from Shasha's sight.
Watching Magneto leave, Shasha stood there for a moment before shaking her head and chuckling.
Things were getting more and more interesting; all sorts of strange creatures were popping up. There was no way this matter had nothing to do with the Black and White Duo.
What surprised him the most was that Felicia actually chose to join White Queen's camp. He really wanted to see what her expression would be when she discovered she was White Bishop.
