"Are you saying that someone has occupied your friend's body using half of their soul through psychic abilities?"
Charles furrowed his brow. "This is quite troublesome. In such a situation, she is likely to taint your friend's soul with her own, making the two inseparable."
Shasha nodded. "That's indeed the case. Right now, I can only put both of their consciousnesses into a deep sleep to prevent further tainting."
"What you're doing is correct. If she continues to taint your friend, then your friend's soul will become a part of hers."
Shasha smiled wryly at this. "I can only do this for now, which is why I came to seek your advice on any possible solutions."
Charles pondered for a moment before sighing. "Actually, there is a way. If your friend's abilities surpass that person's, then the tainting will naturally be undone."
"What else?" Shasha immediately dismissed this idea. It was impossible for Elizabeth to surpass the Black Queen in such a short time. If Elizabeth's consciousness were released, the Black Queen's consciousness would awaken as well.
"Aside from that, unless you can obtain the help of a god," Charles said with a bitter smile.
Help from a god? This thought flashed through Shasha's mind. He lowered his head and contemplated for a moment before exhaling deeply. "Thank you, Professor. I think I have an idea I can try, although I'm not sure what the outcome will be."
Charles looked apologetic. "I'm sorry I couldn't be of more help."
"It's fine; you've already given me a reminder," Shasha waved his hand and then took his leave.
Charles was taken aback; he didn't understand how he had reminded Shasha. Was he really planning to seek help from a god?
Indeed, Shasha did want to seek divine assistance. Not long ago, a god had fallen from above.
Of course, he wasn't counting on Thor; that guy was all muscle. Although he had recently learned to think through problems, he wouldn't be much help. However, his father was all-knowing.
Odin, as the king of the gods and ruler of Asgard, had existed for nearly ten thousand years and possessed incredible divine power—truly omniscient. If it were him, perhaps he would know a solution.
In the past, Shasha would have been at a loss about how to meet Odin, but now that Thor was on Earth, he knew that this guy would eventually return home. All he had to do was follow him when the time came.
Calculating the time, the Celestial Palace Three Warriors and Valkyrie Sif should be arriving on Earth soon. Following that, Loki would send the Destroyer to hunt them down and deal with Thor as well. Who would have thought that Thor would regain his powers after realizing the true essence of being a king just before death?
Shasha was more inclined towards the insurance that Odin provided for Thor, a safety net for a comeback.
In Las Vegas, hundreds of miles away from the main city, lay Desert Town.
Thor was almost accustomed to his life as a human. Perhaps he had once been omnipotent, but ever since becoming mortal, his perspective had shifted; he was no longer as extreme in his thinking. In fact, he found himself enjoying this ordinary life. He had friends and a girl he liked.
Jane Foster, a graduate student in astrophysics, was beautiful and kind, possessing all the qualities that Thor admired. This was the main reason he could truly enjoy life; whenever he was with her, his once restless heart found an unusual peace.
“Thor, please hand me that stack of papers from outside.”
At Jane's call, Thor snapped back to reality and picked up the documents from the table before walking into her room.
As he handed her the papers, Jane was still focused on examining a substance through her microscope. She exclaimed with a hint of awe, “It's really amazing; there are still active positional energies within those sands.”
Thor stole a glance and couldn't help but smirk. “Of course, that's called the Rainbow Bridge.”
“Yes, yes! A transportation tool that surpasses light-years!” Jane rolled her eyes; she didn't believe in such fantastical terms.
“You just don't believe me. If I get the chance in the future, I'll let you experience it.”
“Then I'll be counting on you,” Jane chuckled. Although she didn't believe in such things, it didn't stop her from joking with Thor.
This big guy, despite looking a bit silly, was quite endearing.
Jane's smile drew Thor's gaze; he liked this girl. If given the opportunity, he would take her back to Asgard.
In the distance, a rainbow storm swept down from the sky, landing precisely where Thor had been banished to Midgard.
As the storm dissipated, four figures emerged: three men and one woman, dressed in peculiar attire reminiscent of ancient Norse times. One might think they were engaged in some sort of role-playing.
“This is Midgard?” The speaker was the only woman among them. She had an Anglo-American appearance and a strong physique, wielding a longsword and shield like a female warrior.
"Sif, it's obvious, isn't it? Heimdall wouldn't get the location wrong," joked Vostagg, one of the Celestial Palace Three Warriors, his bulky frame gripping a battle axe. "Looks like someone is a bit impatient."
Sif's face flushed slightly as she shot him an annoyed glare.
"Alright, the priority is to find Thor," reminded Vandal, his golden hair glinting in the light, exuding an aristocratic elegance. Hogan, who stood beside him with a stern expression, nodded in agreement.
The four set off, following their divine senses toward the Desert Town where Thor was located.
Not far from them, a figure rose from the gravel. Watching the four strut confidently, he couldn't help but shake his head. "No wonder S.H.I.E.L.D. noticed these guys with such a grand entrance."
Indeed, not far away, clouds of dust billowed as several sand-colored jeeps sped toward them. The emblem on the front of the vehicles was unmistakably that of S.H.I.E.L.D.
"Didn't expect them to arrive so quickly."
