The cry that traversed light-years reached Asgard, where the first warrior Heimdall, sealed within the Ice Box, broke free from his confinement. He inserted the sword key into the activation slot of the Rainbow Bridge.
A storm descended as the pathway of the Rainbow Bridge landed above.
The group slowly stepped inside, and when the storm subsided, the sky was clear for miles, leaving no trace of their presence on the ground.
In Asgard, Odin lay in slumber while Loki wielded supreme power. He had opened a passage between Jotunheim and Asgard, allowing a large number of Frost Giants to invade the celestial palace.
What was once a breathtaking palace had turned into a battlefield!
The Frost Giants, who had long resided in the frigid Jotunheim, fed on ice and wielded it as their weapon. Their bodies were as resilient as ancient ice, towering and immensely strong, making them superior in individual combat compared to the warriors of Asgard.
It took nearly three warriors to match one Frost Giant, and there were very few guards in Asgard.
Thus, it wasn't long before the Frost Giants breached the main hall, their target being the slumbering Odin.
Just as the Frost Giants had occupied the outer walls of the palace, Shasha and Thor arrived at the Rainbow Bridge.
Upon entering, they saw Heimdall unconscious. Through the Rainbow Bridge, they witnessed the slaughter happening outside the palace walls, where corpses lay scattered everywhere.
Without hesitation, Thor rushed toward the main hall in a state of urgency.
Watching Thor leave, the Three Warriors and Sif exchanged glances. They had hoped to rely on Thor's strength to reclaim their position. Who would have thought he would charge straight into the palace without a second thought?
"I'll go in as a vanguard. Do you think you can handle clearing out the Frost Giants inside the palace?" Shasha suddenly asked.
Sif was taken aback by the words and exchanged glances with the Three Warriors before nodding, "Alright."
"Good."
Shasha strode confidently toward the main entrance of the palace.
Moments later, the vibrations on the Rainbow Bridge intensified from faint to violent, followed by a tremendous quake.
By the time Sif and the Three Warriors stumbled to the main gate, the Frost Giants had been reduced to mere fragments.
They exchanged a look, both seeing the shock reflected in each other's eyes.
What shocked them even more was that Shasha had already stepped into the inner palace. To her, those fierce Frost Giants were nothing more than a single punch away, especially with her level 4 Vibration ability; these creatures stood no chance against her.
As she walked deeper into the main hall, Shasha spotted a corpse far larger than an ordinary Frost Giant. Unlike typical Frost Giants that disintegrated upon death, this one remained intact.
Frost King Laufey, the king of Jotunheim, lay dead here.
So, Loki and Thor had already engaged in battle?
While Shasha pondered this, a voice that was both ancient and imposing echoed through the hall, "Who are you?"
Turning around, Shasha saw an Elder in Splendid Robes holding a golden staff resembling a spear, scrutinizing her from head to toe.
He instantly recognized the identity of the old man and raised an eyebrow. "It was your son who brought me here."
"Thor has friends on Earth?" The old man seemed to be answering his own question, slowly nodding. "If it were in the past, he probably wouldn't have looked at ordinary humans on Earth at all."
"Gods are not necessarily high above, and mortals are not incapable of rivaling so-called deities."
This statement was quite arrogant; if it were a narrow-minded god, they would have likely flown into a rage. However, the old man laughed heartily. "You are not wrong; so-called deities are merely stronger than ordinary people."
Shasha had to admit that as the Allfather, Odin possessed a captivating demeanor.
As his smile gradually faded, Odin's gaze turned toward the direction of the Rainbow Bridge, his expression distant as he asked softly, "Then why is it that you can clearly disregard the desires of ordinary people, yet the struggles among gods surpass those of mortals?"
"That is because greater power brings greater ambition."
Shasha never believed in the saying that greater power comes with greater responsibility. When a person is poor, they only seek to satisfy their basic needs; once those needs are met, they pursue abundance. After achieving abundance, they strive for wealth, and once wealthy, they seek even higher aspirations.
Desire is endless, and ambition grows alongside it.
The position one occupies determines the level of their pursuits and ambitions.
Ordinary people seek wealth; the rich choose to gain power; those in power crave even more power.
Thus, as a god, he naturally yearns to become the king of all gods!
The throne of Asgard has only one seat, which naturally leads to a fierce rivalry between the two princes.
The cunning Loki and the valiant Thor.
In truth, Loki is more suited to be the king of Asgard than Thor. Unfortunately, Odin favors Thor even more than Loki. Otherwise, why would he allow Thor to descend to the mortal realm to understand the essence of ordinary life and cleanse his restless spirit?
"You're right; if they had no abilities at all, perhaps things wouldn't have escalated to this point."
With those words lingering in the air, Odin had already departed, his figure appearing on the Rainbow Bridge.
Not far away, his two sons were locked in a deadly struggle, while behind them lay the smoke-filled ruins of Asgard.
He slowly raised Garnier, then paused for a moment. Suddenly, everything fell silent!
