Stepping out of the park, Shasha gazed at the familiar yet strange streets, feeling a bit dazed.
With yellow skin and black hair, the familiar Huaxia Dynasty civilization surrounded him. The comforting local dialect constantly reminded him that this was Earth, yet also Chaoyang.
But this was the Second Universe, not the world Shasha originally belonged to, hence the sense of familiarity mixed with strangeness.
He had no idea which province or city he was in. The accent was somewhat reminiscent of Guangzhou, but Shasha noticed many shop signs bore the prefix Giant Gorge City. What kind of city was Giant Gorge City?
Confused, he began to gather information about this city.
The most straightforward way to learn about it was through newspapers; free papers were available at every bus station.
Shasha picked one up and examined it closely. He quickly confirmed that this world was different from his own; while the civilization's development mirrored the five thousand years of Huaxia history, there were subtle differences in its evolution.
This world surprisingly lacked nuclear weapons, but advancements in other scientific fields far surpassed those on Earth.
It was a strange world, a peculiar place. What was he supposed to do here?
He patted his pocket and felt an identification card—standard gear for entering this world, indicating his legal identity.
First things first: he needed to solve his financial issues!
Recently, those in Giant Gorge City who followed finance knew that a stock market expert had emerged.
With an initial investment of 1,000 yuan, he purchased a promising stock. After securing his first pot of gold, he quickly sold off his shares and then bought three unfamiliar stocks. Many were skeptical about these three stocks, but after he invested in them, their prices skyrocketed.
Turning 1,000 into millions required just eight steps.
People began calling him the Stock God of Giant Gorge, as no one else could start from scratch and earn millions in just ten days. His methods were analyzed by many experts and held significant meaning.
Having earned his first pot of gold, Shasha finally had the capital to establish himself in this world. He wasn't in a hurry to develop his career because he couldn't determine the future direction of this world.
He, possessing a fortune of millions, resembled a recluse, spending his time on the computer to learn about the world or occasionally playing games. This continued until the fifteenth day after he arrived in this world.
"Bang! Bang! Bang!"
The sound of knocking came from downstairs, clearly identifiable as the sound of a hard object striking a person. Unable to resist his curiosity, Shasha leaned over to look down and saw three thuggish-looking individuals confronting a simple-looking young man. Beside them was a girl, her face pale with fear, cowering in the corner and trembling.
"Damn, this guy came up swinging a brick; I thought he was your enemy!"
The one wearing a large gold chain, Rogue Leader, spat and glared fiercely at the young man. "Do you know who I am? How dare you meddle?"
The young man stood his ground. "I don’t care who you are; bullying a girl is something I can’t ignore!"
"Oh ho, playing the hero, are we? I'm not some thug; I'm the boss! This isn’t being a rogue; it’s called having feelings. You wouldn’t understand!" With that, he stepped forward and punched the young man in the face.
The young man staggered back but quickly caught Rogue Leader's leg as he kicked out, then retaliated with a powerful kick that sent him flying several meters.
This scene stunned everyone present. Shasha, watching from above, was equally astonished. Such strength was not something an ordinary person possessed; if this continued, Rogue Leader would either be severely injured or worse.
Shasha's gaze shifted back to Rogue Leader and was taken aback again—his vital signs had returned to normal from their previous weakness, and he appeared uninjured. Soon after, he got up from the ground angrily muttering something incomprehensible.
Then something astonishing happened: it seemed as if both men had awakened some primal power within them—one was immensely strong while the other could take an incredible amount of punishment.
"This world has superpowers too? It can't be that simple," Shasha thought.
With those two engaged, the rest of the crowd had fled. The young man was lost and confused; after all, how could an ordinary youth compete with professional thugs?
After pondering for a moment, Shasha decided to intervene; he urgently needed a direction for his mission.
Just as Rogue Leader was about to smash an air conditioner over the young man's head, a figure in slippers and a tank top blocked him. He looked surprised. "Who are you?"
Shasha remained silent and snapped his fingers. Rogue Leader felt as if he had been hit by a speeding truck, flying from one end of the alley to the other.
"Damn! Is this a movie?" The young man exclaimed in shock, staring wide-eyed at the scene unfolding before him.
Shasha ignored the murmurs of the young man behind him and walked up to Rogue Leader, pulling a pack of cigarettes from his pocket. "Hey, Giant Canyon brand? You've got quite the setup here."
Rogue Leader was seething with anger, struggling to get up but was suppressed by an overwhelming force.
Shasha slowly lit a cigarette and blew a puff of smoke towards Rogue Leader. "Save your strength; you won't be getting up without my permission."
"Fuck you, you dog!"
True to his streetwise nature, he couldn't help but curse.
Shasha smiled as he took a drag from his cigarette, watching as Rogue Leader went from cursing to begging for mercy. Just as he was about to speak, sirens blared from behind them.
"Everyone freeze! Hands on your heads and squat down on the ground!"
